When you are at Mayhem Fest this year, you can visit the Revolver tent to pick up your free Limited Edition Revolver/Mayhem special mini magazine. The magazine is just like the regular Revolver magazine, only smaller. It is 42 pages and features 26 bands such as Job For a Cowboy, Anthrax, Darkest Hour, Baroness, and Dying Fetus. The magazine is jam packed with exclusive interviews, but what is not included is the exclusive 21 track compilation, which you can download online in it's entirety for free.

Canada's hardcore/grind band DRUDGERY, featuring members of Exhumed/Fuck The Facts, Arise and Ruin, and Glasgow Grin have finished their new EP, entitled "Rust." The EP consists of 6 tracks, all recorded at Frozen Solid Studios in Guelph, Ontario.
"This band started as a side project back in 2006 and we wound up with a collection of tunes we were all really stoked on" comments drummer Matt Connell, "We've had this tracked for a while now, and are glad to have it done for people to hear it."
Details regarding the release date and label will be announced shortly.

Montreal based 3 Mile Scream have announced more headlining dates in support of their Corporate Punishment debut, "A Prelude To Our Demise." 3 Mile Scream's debut album, which was produced by Jean-Francois Dagenais, of Kataklysm, has prompted a plethora of critical acclaim from critics and fans.
3 Mile Scream is currently putting the finishing touches on their sophomore album, "A Glimpse of Hope," which is being produced by Cryptopsy guitarist Christian Donaldson, who recently produced The Agonist's debut album.
3 Mile Scream frontman Matt McGachy was recently announced as the new frontman for death metal legends Cryptopsy and is currently recording vocals for the group's upcoming new album, "The Unspoken King", which will surface through Century Media this spring.
3 Mile Scream's Chad Archibald (Arise and Ruin) directed video for the track "Our Blackened Sun" can be viewed on YouTube or below.

The practice space of Arise and Ruin (Victory Records) in Guelph, Ontario was broken into on Christmas Eve, resulting in $10,000-$20,000 worth of stolen equipment. In addition to Arise and Ruin, several other bands had gear taken, including Dearblackdiary and Ghost of Calico. Items taken include:
- (2) PA systems (Behringer)
- PA system (Yamaha)
- (3) Mesa Boogie 4x12 slant cabs
- (2) Mesa Boogie dual rectifier heads
- Mesa Boogie flight case
- SWR-2x10 bass head and 1x15 cabs

Arise and Ruin has cancelled their U.S. dates with August Burns Red as the Canadian band was denied entry into the United States. Here's a message from the group:
"We couldn't be more bummed to miss out on this tour, everyone go out and pick up August Burns Red's new disc "'Messengers' on Tuesday and to anyone attending the shows, give everyone in ABR a big hug from us Canadians. We apologize and promise to make it down to PA as soon as humanly possible!"

Stereo Dynamite Recordings' Canadian extreme metalcore act Arise And Ruin have been added to the upcoming Protest The Hero / Hostage Life tour. The band will join the tour on August 15 in Fredericton, NB. Dedicated to constant touring and their passion for extreme music, Arise And Ruin combine a ferocious mix of unpolished American metal, mosh-your-life-away breakdowns and menacing European thrash into a full-throttle hardcore assault.
Their debut five-song enhanced CD/EP entitled THE FEAR OF (produced by Ken Susi of UNEARTH) was released April 18 on Stereo Dynamite Recordings/EMI. You can check out some of their material here.

Guelph, Ontario's ARISE AND RUIN will be releasing a new EP, entitlted "The Fear Of", on April 18 via Stereo Dynamite Recordings. The CD was produced by Ken Susi (UNEARTH) and will feature new artwork by the "extremely talented guys" at Sons Of Nero as well as some "kick-ass" enhanced CD features, according to the band. A video for the song "In Life", which will appear on the upcoming CD, can be found at this location. A series of CD-release shows with THE VIDEO DEAD will kick off April 18 at the Bovine in Toronto.
