UK thrashers, EVILE, are preparing themselves for a full-scale headlining UK tour.
Following lead guitarist OL DRAKE's recent jaw injury which caused the band to drop off their European tour with SATYRICON, EVILE are now more ready than ever to get back out there and play some shows.
OL DRAKE comments on the tour, "Really looking forward to our first full-on headliner tour in the UK. We chose Warpath and Mutant as supports for the tour. Both are friends of the band but are also excellent bands. You have to check them out." More...
Earache Records has issued the following statement:
"British metallers Evile know a thing or two about thrashing, and they know that the music has to be loud. The band were therefore slightly worried to hear something which could affect fans of live music all across the UK.
EVILE lead guitarist OL DRAKE explains: "I was browsing the Downing Street website to see what exactly our Prime Minister is doing, and I came across the 'Petitions' section. One that stood out to me was a petition for 'No Noise Control'. Now, I remember playing a show in a venue where they were strict on the level of noise, as they had one of these Noise Control devices. It was so quiet, it felt like a crime headbanging whilst playing the music. I'd hate to go and see my favourite band live and have the music being at that level.
I urge all UK live music fans to sign this petition to make it be known that we love live music, and for it to be that ridiculously quiet would be a travesty. The kind of music we play is aggressive. You can't have aggressive music at low volumes. It defeats the purpose. I want to have my
head blasted off by a riff, not my genitals slightly tickled. Please take a look, sign and pass on!"

Evile are currently working on material for a new album, tentatively due to be released later this year on Earache Records."
EVILE guitarist Ol Drake has written an update on his condition after suffering a blackout which caused a serious jaw injury late last month:
"a few weeks on now and I'm slowly recovering. Lost some weight from the difficulty in eating, trying to get energy back as much as possible. The wound on my chin turned out to be infected, so got anti biotics on that. Went to the maxillofacial.......thing at the hospital today (eventually got an appointment) and they've wired my jaw shut for two weeks. I was told this should have been done straight away (at A&E in Rotterdam) but it wasn't. It's apparently slightly too late for the wiring to work to full effect (?) but they've done it anyway. I look forward to more inability to consume food stuffs.
please send all 2 week silence jokes to my myspace page. I allow everyone to laugh and/or call me Jaws"
With a wired jaw and a canceled tour (with SATYRICON, due to the deliberating injury), Ol has found other ways to channel his thoughts in some of the most metal ways possible. Here's a couple of lyrics he wrote to the tune of the JUDAS PRIEST classic, "Breaking The Law":
"Breaking My Jaw
There I was completely normal, Rotterdam, 4 down
Ol outside the evile transport as we tour from town to town
Felt as though my body died, blurry vision now
So I might as well begin to put some concrete in my mouth
BREAKING MY JAW BREAKING MY JAW
.....I Won't do the rest of the song..."

Ol Drake of UK thrashers, Evile, has issued a message to fans regarding his current condition after breaking his jaw on stage:
"hello from my bed."
"Thank you for all the get well messages (even the guy who said we suck, you rule)."
"Want to start by saying a HUGE sorry to all the people wanting to see us play on the Satyricon tour, I couldn't be more pissed off. I'm the first person to oppose cancelling any gig or tour, unless it's completely necessary. My first worry wasn't even for my health, it was for the tour... And that my beard would be ok." More...
Evile guitarist Ol Drake has apparantly broken his jaw and as such the band has cancelled all their forthcoming tour dates. A posting from Evile frontman Matt Drake reads as follows:
"Ol collapsed last night and fractured his jaw and split his chin on the ground. Luckily his beard absorbed some of the blow. He's been in hospital and had X-rays and been stitched up, but he's unable to play - he can't really move - he's a mess. Ol doesn't drink, it seems to be some medical problem that's being investigated. They did an ECG and we're awaiting results. Unfortunately we're having to pull out of the tour to get home to the UK where Ol can recuperate and have some follow-up tests.
"We apologise to all our fans and to anyone planning to see us at the shows. As you can imagine we're devastated we can't play, but Ol's health comes first and that's currently our priority. We will update our fans through the MySpace with news when we're back home. We won't be on any of the Satyricon tour from today."

UK thrashers EVILE, who are currently wrapping up a West coast tour of Canada with Canadian metallers 3 INCHES OF BLOOD, have posted a tour report from the last leg of the tour.
EVILE lead guitarist OL DRAKE reports from the road:
"So we're pretty far into the 3 Inches of Blood tour, and it's been awesome so far. On top of 3IoB being great guys and a great band, the scenery on this tour is mind blowing. We definitely have to come back to Canada. The Canadian fans are mental (in a good way), everyone's going crazy. The first show had one guy's face being bust open, there was blood everywhere (I wonder how many inches of it there were)." More...
UK thrashers, Evile will embark on their first ever trip to the western hemisphere as they tour Canada this October with 3 Inches Of Blood.
This tour is a big moment in the history of Evile as it marks the first time the band will play shows in the great white north and the first time the band has ever toured outside of their half of the world. Evile is extremely excited to see all of their crazy Canadian fans for the first time and is just as excited to play with longtime favorites of theirs, 3 Inches Of Blood.
Evile guitarist, Ol Drake gave a few words on how he and his band first discovered the music of tourmates-to-be 3 Inches Of Blood: "I remember hearing 3 Inches Of Blood when we started Evile back in 03/04 (in the rehearsal room whilst writing) and was surprised to hear someone doing that style of metal at that time. It was a relief to
hear, even though I was heavily into just death and thrash metal only then."
"I can't wait to drown in 3 Inches Of Blood!" says Drake, who jests "...Too cheesy? Fuck you!"

Irish thrashers GAMA BOMB have posted a tour report regarding their recent UK tour with thrash legends EXODUS and fast-rising UK thrashers EVILE.
This is what GAMA BOMB had to say about playing up and down the UK to riotous reception night after night, with two of the greatest thrash bands around today:
"The G-Bizzers have just returned from our UK tour with Exodus and Evile, and what a week it's been...kicking off in London, we had one of the best receptions we've ever had and were thrilled to play the Underworld, which has always been something of an ambition of ours. Leeds the next night was an even better set, and those who assembled really made us feel welcome, which was cool. Dublin was possibly the most surprising night by a mile: expecting a decent reception and some friendly back-slapping, we were astonished by how well we went down. We managed to sell more tees than we even had in London, which was great. We definitely owe them Dublin thrashers more gigs like that one."
UK thrashers, Evile, issue the following end of tour update:
"Hey all, just thought I'd post an update on the Exodus tour, even though there's only one more show to go :("
"This is one awesome tour and we're having a great time. All of the Exodus guys are great. They and their crew treat us really well. The Crowds have all been very welcoming to us, and the responses we've been getting on this tour are overwhelming. I want to thank everyone who's been coming out and taking the time to check Evile out!"
"It's been an eventful tour to say the least. One day/night (can't remember) I was asleep in my bunk on the bus, when all of a sudden there's a huge bang and we're hurled forward about 15 feet. We got hit while being parked by a Truck driver who probably had a bit more than he should have. Our driver, Bjorn, jumped out of bed, running down the road in his boxer shorts to steal the keys out of the guys ignition, while Lee Altus got his drink spilt. He wasn't happy. On a side note, as soon as the truck hit us, I just went back to sleep, I thought Mike had just fallen down the stairs, so this whole story is second hand from when i appeared in the morning and said 'What was that bang?.'" The band were highly impressed and gave Jake the chance to show his skills at the Corporation in Sheffield, UK, on their current tour with EXODUS. Jake took over guitar duties from singer/rhythm guitarist MATT DRAKE to play the entirety of the track "Enter the Grave" to rapturous applause.

Earache Records has issued the following statement on their recently released "Earache Thrash Pack" for the game "Rock Band:"
"It was warned that the newly-released EARACHE Thrash Pack for ROCK BAND would be the hardest tracks that the game had to offer and that was no lie.
"The ROCK BAND rockers community (http://www.rockband.com/rockers_home)has been absolutely THRASHED and SHREDDED to the bone in their many attempts to play the AT THE GATES classic, "Blinded By Fear" and THE HAUNTED's "D.O.A." Judging by the comments on the official ROCK BAND forums, however, out of all of the songs in the pack, EVILE's "Thrasher" seems to have given players their greatest challenge yet. Here's what some of the most hardcore ROCK BAND players in the world have to say about it:
"This satisfies my extreme metal wants for a long, long, long time. That time will be spent putting ointment on my blistered fingers due to Thrasher, no doubt." - Chief Stubbs
"Got my butt kicked in solo 2 of Thrasher." - JoshuaNeff
"Thrasher: DEAR FREAKING LORD! This song is so frikkin insane it's not even funny...When I saw the first solo I nearly crapped my pants." - Xerosnake90
"Thrasher's quick changes between beats are seriously challenging" - Contrapulator
"If you're the type who says that talk is cheap, then let these killer videos of all 3 songs show you what's got the ROCK BAND community buzzing: More...
