Australian technical death metal band Infinitum is streaming its new nine-song album "The Sixth Extinction" over on Bandcamp, or stream it below in the player. The page also features its 2008 opus "Behold Eradication." Infinitum will be appearing on Nefarious Realm's free 666 song anthology The Number of the Compilation, along with 665 other bands. Australian technical death metal band Infinitum has released three sampler tracks that it will be putting on it's new album. The as-of-yet untitled songs are the first new material from the band since 2008's album "Behold Eradication." To listen to the songs, go to Infinitum's Reverbnation page. Infinitum is also streaming material from it's other albums on MySpace.
With the departure of Astriaal's live session bass player Cameron Grant to fulfil his fulltime commitments with Psycroptic, the band has announced that Dan Marsden (Infinitum/ex-Psychrist) has accepted the invitation to join Astriaal on bass duties. Dan has relocated to Brisbane, and will be a permanent addition to the band.
The band states: "We in ASTRIAAL greatly look forward to having Dan join the fold as rehearsals are already sounding intense. Being a longtime friend to all of us and harnessing masterful bass playing abilities, we see the future very foreboding indeed."
On the departure of Cameron, they further commented: "We in ASTRIAAL send a special thanks to Cameron for his commitment and brilliant live performances with us throughout 2010. A great bass player and a top bloke...legend!"
