Saattue Posts New Song Online

Saattue's new album "Kärsimysnäytelmä" was originally scheduled to drop at the end of June but has now been pushed back to July 22nd. To make up for the delay, today the Finnish band releases another song from the album - check out "Morfiinienkeli " below. The album's full track listing is as follows:

Saattue Streaming "Turta"

Finland's Saattue has a new track online for streaming titled "Turta," which can be heard below and comes off upcoming album "Kärsimysnäytelmä."

The track was recorded at Studio KillHill, except drums recorded at D-Studio, Klaukkala. Mixing and mastering was handled by Tero Kalliomäki at Studio KillHill.

Saattue Issues Recording Update

Finnish metal act Saattue has checked in with the following brief studio update about the band's time recording a new album:

"3rd album: 1st recording sessions - Saattue has started to record it's 3rd album.

"5-6.1.2013: D-Studio - Drums Recorded to 7 songs. Lead vocals recorded to 2 songs. The drum tracks are finished (Facebook video available) and some grunts (check out video here)."

Saattue Working On New Album

Finnish metal act Saattue has posted the following brief announcement online about writing material for an upcoming new album:

"Writing material for the 3rd album - we are currently writing new songs. Some of them will be recorded in January 2013 - at first for promotional purposes. More news will follow!"

Saattue Announces New Drummer

Finland's Saattue has issued the following announcement about recruiting a new drummer:

"Saattue has a new drummer. M. Ahlstén decided to leave the group after being a member of Saattue for five years and being responsible for recording drums for both of the band’s albums, Jäähyvästi (2006) and Vuoroveri (2009).

"The new drummer is S. Köykkä, formerly a member of Finnish funeral doom metal band Colosseum. Saattue gives a big thank you to Mikael and welcomes Sameli in."

Saattue Cancels Upcoming Tour Date

Finnish metallers Saattue have announced that they have canceled their upcoming tour date on October 10th in Helsinki due to illness. Saattue will still be playing their remaining October tour date. The details are as follows:

Saattue Posts New Song And Music Video Online

Finnish metallers Saattue have issued the following announcement about streaming a new song and music video online:

"New track has been added to the Saattue myspace music player. The track is called Vapahtaja and it will be the opening track for the new album Vuoroveri. The track features special guest appearances by Aleksi Laiho of Children of Bodom on guitar solo, Pasi Koskinen of Ajattara on backing vocals and Aapo Romu of Vanguard on cello.

"Saattue has also uploaded their new video for the song Vapahtaja. The video is directed by Matti Salminen and produced by Organized Chaos Videos"

Saattue Postpones New Album, "Vuoroveri"

Finnish metal band, Saattue has announced that the release of their new album, "Vuoroveri," will be delayed and be released on October 21st. The band comments, "The release date had to be changed due to reasons that are beyond our control."

"Also the date of the record release show had to be re-scheduled. The new date for the record release show is Friday 23rd of October. The venue is Escape in our hometown Riihimäki."

Saattue To Enter The Studio In April

Finnish metallers Saattue will record their second album in April 2009. Recording sessions will be hosted by Jarno Hänninen at D-Studio, Klaukkala, Finland. Musically the album will be natural follow-up to Saattue’s debut album “Jäähyvästi” and it will feature previously unreleased works of dark, slow and multidimensional saatto metal. The album will be released in the beginning of autumn 2009 by Spikefarm Records.

Saattue writes their lyrics in Finnish and labels their music as saatto metal. Saatto, as well as Saattue, means procession in Finnish. Saattue's roots are deeply in doom metal and other extreme metal genres.

Saattue Debut Reveal Album Artwork

Finnish metallers SAATTUE will release their debut album, "Jäähyvästi", on January 23 via Spikefarm Records. The CD was recorded at D-Studios in Klaukkala, Finland and includes "seven tracks of gloomy and heavy 'saattometal,'" according to a press release. Mastering duties were handled by Minerva Pappi at Finnvox studios in Helsinki. The album artwork was created by Kalle Pyyhtinen of Utudesign.

Saattue Complete Work On New Promo CD

SAATTUE, the Finnish band featuring former and current members of such underground acts as YEARNING, LET ME DREAM, ULTRAMAYHEM ORGANISATION and BRAINDRAIN, have completed work on a new three-song promotional CD containing the cuts "Luutarhuri", "Ikiuneen" and "Kaaosmaa".

SAATTUE have undergone several lineup changes since the release of their last EP, "Kivisydän", but musically the band "keep on producing the same doomy metal with Finnish lyrics as earlier," according to a press release. A full-length MP3 of the song "Luutarhuri" can be downloaded here.

SAATTUE played their first show outside Finland on January 28 at the Rock Cafe in Tallinn, Estonia.
