Details surrounding Unearth's recently completed new album, "The March," have been revealed as well as dates on their fall headlining tour.
The band posted in their blog:
"Well, we've completed work on our new album entitled The March which is scheduled to drop on October 14 via Metal Blade Records. According to Trevor, 'The March' symbolizes both the evil and hopeful sides of humanity. The Evil: With the constant balancing act of power within government, religion and our financial institutions, there lies the chance of those most hungry for power to alter and restrict our freedoms for their gain. The Hopeful: This represents the faith in mankind as the most powerful force on the planet. If we come together and do not fight over religion, class and borders then we hold the key to a peaceful world. There are two possible futures in store; either a March of power and greed or a March of a unified human race."
The final track listing for "The March" is:
1. My Will Be Done
2. Hail the Shrine
3. Crow Killer
4. Grave of Opportunity
5. We Are Not Anonymous
6. The March
8. The Chosen
9. Letting Go
10. Truth or Consequence
In advance of the release of "The March," Unearth will be heading out on a U.S. tour with Protest the Hero, The Acacia Strain, Whitechapel and Gwen Stacy. The band will be debuting a couple of new songs from "The March" while on tour as well

Canadian deathcore destruction squad DESPISED ICON has been confirmed for a small UK tour run in August with Cephalic Carnage.
Furthermore, the band will embark on the Altamont Never Say Die! Tour 2008 in November featuring such prolific acts as Parkway Drive, Unearth, Architects, Protest The Hero and more.
Here are the latest DESPISED ICON tour dates: More...
The hugely successful Never Say Die! club tour will return this November in collaboration with Altamont Apparel.
Here is the planned Altamont Never Say Die! 2008 Club Tour line-up:
Protest The Hero
The tour will be sponsored by Altamont Apparel, the innovative clothing brand which uniquely captures the youthful spirit of counterculture warriors - a perfect fit for those attending Never Say Die!. “Altamont Apparel was founded with music at its core, so we are both happy and proud to be the official partner of this tour” commented Scott Sentianin, Altamont Apparel. Marco Walzel, Avocado Booking, adds, “The link between punk, metal and hardcore with skateboarding and extreme sports/lifestyles has always been a strong bond. It makes perfect sense for Altamont to be a big part of this tour and I’m very happy to have them on board.”
The lineup will include PARKWAY DRIVE (Burning Heart Records) who have proven their headline status for this tour with their titanic barrage of riffs, breakdowns and high energy performances - as best evident on their many European tours (the last of which had the majority of their shows sold-out). Also no strangers to touring Europe, UNEARTH will join the tour as co-headliners in the UK and direct support in mainland Europe, and just in time as their brand new album on Metal Blade Records will be hitting the streets. DESPISED ICON have exploded onto the scene with loads of touring and have helped define deathcore destruction with a highly acclaimed new record on Century Media Records. The UK is represented on this tour by ARCHITECTS, recently signed to Century Media, who bring the chaos factor to the bill with their vicious metalcore assault. Bringing a flair for the technical and progressive end of the spectrum, PROTEST THE HERO have been lavished with rave reviews from the press for their new album and tireless touring. Rounding out the package are two up-n-coming brutal acts from the U.S. that are rapidly gaining steam and buzzing in the underground, WHITECHAPEL (Metal Blade Records) and CARNIFEX (Victory Records) who will both have new records in time for this tour.
“We’ve worked very hard to raise the bar for this tour,” says Ivonne Davies-Kreye, Avocado Booking. “It is easily the best line-up and will prove to be the best concert going experience of 2008.”

Canada's CBC Radio 3 has launched the first Full Metal Podcast, hosted by Lisa Christiansen. The podcast features new music from Arapacis, Bison, Cursed, Cryptopsy, Derelict, Divinity, Forty Birds, Gross Misconduct, Penetrator, Protest the Hero, Rammer and Sequoia.
"We play a lot of great music here at Radio 3, and for one radio station we do play an unbelievable number of different genres, from hip hop to folk; electronica to pop and hard rock. But there is one genre that is sadly under-represented - metal.
"But not anymore. Today marks the first Full Metal Podcast for CBC Radio 3. And I couldn't be more um, filled with unholy joy.
"For the past few months a crack team of producers and one eager host, have listened to literally hours of metal tunes from our collection here at New Music Canada. We then sought out the opinions of a few serious metal heads and created this podcast.
"You'll hear music from Protest the Hero, Cursed, Bison, and Cryptopsy. I check in with a touring Cam Pipes of 3 Inches of Blood and ponder the why behind Montreal's metal capital of North America status with legendary drummer Flo Mounier of Cryptopsy.
"It's a cross-country journey through some of the hardest and loudest music being made in Canada today, and it's all in one easy to enjoy package. So kick back and get ready and watch where you bang that head. Neck injuries are not covered by Radio 3."

PROTEST THE HERO, a radical five-piece band from Whitby, Ontario, has posted its new single, "Sequoia Throne", on the group's MySpace page. The song comes off the band's sophomore Vagrant release, "Fortress", which will be in stores January 29, 2008. "Bloodmeat", the opening track on "Fortress", is also available today on iTunes (in Canada only).
Fans can check out a teaser clip of behind-the-scenes footage from the "Bloodmeat" video shoot here. "Bloodmeat" can already be heard in rotation on the Sirius Satellite Radio channel Hard Attack.
PROTEST's MySpace page also reveals the stunning new artwork for "Fortress". The cover image is a riff on the Irish goddess of the forest, Flidais. The band has previously stated that "Fortress" does not revolve around a single concept, like "Kezia", their 2006 debut, but is instead more closely akin to "goddess worship in the tradition of Robert Graves." 02 - The Dissentience
03 - Bone Marrow
04 - Sequoia Throne

09 - Goddess Bound

PROTEST THE HERO, a radical five-piece band from Whitby, Ontario, has confirmed a November 13, 2007 release date for "Fortress", the group's second full-length album on Vagrant. The 10-song set was produced by Julius "Juice" Butty and recorded at Silo Studios in Hamilton, Ontario.
"This album is nothing to be intellectualized," stated lead singer Rody Walker. "All talk of wonder, pathos and optimism (blindfolded) aside (hink). I feel it's a very natural progression for us. A natural progression into further obscurity. I am of the belief a lot of the people who work for us were hoping for a stab at a more commercially viable album, however we wrote what we wanted without linear boundaries and created something less commercial than ever. Some fans of the band will hate it. And some people who hate the band will love it. All others can rot."
PROTEST THE HERO has not revealed any further details about the new CD other than to indicate that "Fortress" will not revolve around a single concept, like the band's 2006 debut, "Kezia", but is instead more closely akin to "goddess worship in the tradition of Robert Graves," according to lyricist and bassist, Arif Mirabdolbaghi.

ALL THAT REMAINS on tour: More...
God Forbid has cancelled their weeklong Canadian trek as direct support to Protest The Hero. Their only remaining show for 2006 will be a headlining performance in Levittown, NY at Club Ritual on Dec. 8th. God Forbid will return to the road in 2007 for the "Chains of Humanity" tour with Goatwhore, Mnemic, Arsis, The Human Abstract and Byzantine in the support slots.
Doc Coyle (guitars, vocals) states: "Due to an inability to come to an agreement over a discrepancy between the booking and announcing of a Toronto show on our on headline tour, God Forbid and Protest The Hero mutually decided it would be best if we didn't take part in the upcoming Canadian run. We are very disappointed that this couldn't be worked out, but we are still friends and fans of PTH and consider this just a postponement of future touring that I'm sure will be bigger and better. Again, we apologize to any Canadian fans who already bought tickets. We will be playing Toronto and Montreal as part of our headline tour with Goatwhore, Mnemic, Arsis, The Human Abstract and Byzantine, so we hope to see you all then."
