The New England Metal And Hardcore Festival 14 has announced the line-up for all three days of the event, which will occur from April 20-22nd at the Worcester Palladium. This is the longest running festival in the U.S., and the acts scheduled for each of the days follow below. More acts are being confirmed for this 14th annual festival as we speak. Canadian metal/hardcore band Obey The Brave will make its U.S. debut at the 14th Annual New England Metal and Hardcore Festival on Friday, April 20th.
The new band features former members of Century Media recording artists Despised Icon and Mediaskare's Blind Witness.
"Some of my favorite touring memories took place at the Palladium," said vocalist Alex Erian. "So stoked to be back and can't wait to play Obey The Braves' first US show ever at the NEMHF. Shit's about to get real, fellas."
Obey The Brave is managed by Good Fight Entertainment and is now working on its debut album for a label to be announced.

Dragonforce announced that the band will kick off the U.S. Tour with an appearance at the New England Metal & Hardcore Festival at The Palladium in Worcester, Mass on April 21, 2012. The festival runs from April 20-22, 2012. Dragonforce will be one of the headlining acts on Saturday with All That Remains and Overkill.
The new Dragonforce record "The Power Within" is scheduled for release on April 15, 2012 through the band's own label Electric Generation Recordings.

Canadian progressive metal act Protest the Hero has announced that it will be hitting the road soon for an upcoming United States headline tour. BANDHAPPY, the brand new and first live online and in-person music education service, has announced the launch of registration abilities as of 11am ET today (Thursday, January 5th, 2012). Lessons will begin on Monday, January 9th as students are activated into the system. The site has received thousands of requests from students seeking lessons so far, so be patient as BANDHAPPY is approving students on a rolling basis.
Teachers are still able to apply and can continue to apply at any time. Rules for application are currently on the BANDHAPPY teacher registration page. Swedish death metal giants Amon Amarth are the latest band to confirm an appearance at the Brutal Assault 2012 Festival. The festival will be held from August 9-11, 2012 at the Old Army Fortress in Josefov, Czech Republic.

After a spring tour of the U.S. and Canada, Protest The Hero will return to the U.S. for a three week headline tour running November 28th to December 22nd. Along with Protest The Hero, the 20 shows will feature Prosthetic recording artists Scale The Summit and Last Chance To Reason. In addition, promoters will be adding a local band to each show.

It has been announced that thrash metal icons Metallica will headline the forthcoming "Rock the Hill" festival in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada on July 14, 2011.
General-admission tickets are priced at $99.50 with a limited amount of special VIP tickets available for $199.50. VIP ticket holders will have access to the front of stage pit, their own entrance and concessions, and separate washrooms from General-admission ticket holders.
The event is set to take place on July 14, 2011 on the Garrisons Grounds of Citadel Hill in Halifax and will also feature performances from Coheed and Cambria, Protest the Hero, Matt Mays and Seether. A trailer for the event is available for viewing below.

The organizers of Belgium's largest metal festival, Graspop Metal Meeting, have announced that six more bands have been confirmed for this year's edition of the event. Amongst the new confirmations are rap legends House Of Pain, Swedish metal outfit Arch Enemy and Fozzy, the band fronted by wrestling superstar Chris Jericho and featuring members of Stuck Mojo. The new album, titled "Scurrilous," was produced once again with producer Julius 'Juice' Butty and will see its release on March 22, 2010 through Underground Operations in Canada and through Vagrant Records in the United States. Protest The Hero is set to release the band's third studio album "Scurrilous" on March 22nd via Vagrant Records in the U.S. "Scurrilous" is the follow up to the 5-piece band’s 2008 sophomore release, "Fortress," and reunites the band with producer Julius “Juice” Butty.
Protest the Hero will begin a tour with dates in Europe and the U.K. from January 26th through February 12th supporting Darkest Hour. Following an appearance at Australia’s 2011 Soundwave Festival, the band will also begin an extensive Canadian and U.S tour March 23rd, with support acts Maylene and the Sons of Disaster and Tessaract.
