Vocalist Justin Godfrey issued his regrets about having to cancel the tour, "We're sorry about having to cancel the rest of our tour, but we need to head home for now to regain our strength -- and I need to kick whatever death-like illness I've come down with. We'll definitely be back at some point, hopefully soon. To those of you who came out and the bands we've played with, we had a fucking blast."

Black Market Activities has announced the signing of The Indomitable Iron Sloth. The band, who hails from Vancouver, Washington, was once know as The Abominable Iron Sloth and has previously released an album with Goodfellow Records/Undergroove before breaking up in late 2006.
The Indomitable Iron Sloth’s previously announced EP will now be released as a full-length album and the release will be completely re-recorded.
“We have been huge fans of the band since the last record came out and we are extremely excited to work with the band,” Guy Kozowyk, BMA owner, said. “We are currently scheming ways to honor—or at least do something cool—for those who initially pre-ordered through their MySpace before BMA was involved.”
The band is as equally excited as Kozowyk about inking a deal with BMA:
"Trying to get this EP out has been a sizable pain in the ass so far. Since we recorded it last year we’ve written a few more songs that we think people might want to hear, so we're going to go back into the studio in the coming months….It really blows that it's taken so long, but hopefully we don't disappoint with the full length."
Bay Area metal act The Abominable Iron Sloth has officially broken up. Here's a statement from band member Justin Godfrey:
"Thanks to everyone for your support of the band, but it is no more. Our latest round of members have gone home and I think I've had enough. I've been doing this for 3 years now and I'm tired of trying to beg people to tour Europe with me, so I'm going to focus on my other forms of art that don't require commitment from other human beings. Any music I play in the future will most likely be with synthesizers and drum machines until I can figure out how to make robots. I'm going to start taking writing a little more seriously as well as making more metal sculptures under the Good Godfrey's House of Conception banner. Both of which will be posted on my personal page, so feel free to add me if you like. I do have one more album worth of sloth material in me, and I'd like to record it if possible, but I need to find a label willing to give me a few thousand bucks to record it first. I guess that's about it. Thanks to everyone who made this band possible, and maybe I'll see you around."
