After several years of work, they released the full-length album “El Reino De Los Hechiceros” earlier this year. We introduce and discuss the song “Senda Sin Fin” at the start, and stay tuned for the title track at our sign-off.

It appears the Brutal Fest has been cancelled, with several bands posting messages online stating the event is cancelled and they weren't ever paid. A sampling of posts can be seen below.
Dawn of Demise: "Brutal Fest has been cancelled. The promoter is a lying bastard cuntfuck idiot loser who has stolen peoples money and so on. Aborted and Aeon have also cancelled, and if you look at their updates you can see that they also are pretty pissed..."
Aborted: "Due to the unprofessional and fraudulent acts of the promoter of brutal fest. Aborted officially cancel our appearance at this event. We hope the promoter gets what he deserves and everyone who bought tickets get their money back. See you all in Aarschot with Exhumed and Origin this November instead!"
Aeon: "Due to an unprofessional and fraudulent act of the promotor AeoN is canceling the show at Brutal Fest in Hasselt. We really hope that everyone who has bought a ticket will get the money back. See you all on the Cannibal Corpse tour."
The festival's official Facebook profile was recently updated with the following message:
"Dear [eople, as you have heard recently Brutal Fest 2014 will be cancelled.
"I can't continue any longer with this event due medical reasons and that's probably the main reason for the cancellation.
"There are a lot of speculations / gossip / lies said the last days in the social media but also in the newspapers. It doesn't mean that something is written in a newspaper that it is automatically true.
"Tickets: We received some messages about tickets that where never arrived. People who bought a ticket normally received a mail with more information about a cash back.
"We (I am) (are) sincerely sorry for the mistakes that were made. People with questions can send a mail to:firstname.lastname@example.org." More...
Sweden's Aeon is pleased to announce that the band has recruited a new guitar player: Ronnie Björnström, who produced the band's latest release, "Aeons Black" (reviewed here).
The band comments: "We are all very exited about this and we say welcome to Ronnie. We're looking forward to fans seeing us live with Ronnie and hope to be back to the US some point this year."
Ronnie added, "Having worked with the band for over four years as their Front of House tech and producing their latest album, I know Aeon is one of the best death metal bands out there. It is an honor for me to be sharing stage with the guys. See you all on the road! Cheers!"
The band is currently supporting latest release "Aeons Black," which included touring in Europe in addition to a coveted spot on the Summer Slaughter Tour that made its way through North America this past summer.
Aeon recently split with the band's guitarist due to issues with losing money on tour. Aeon has now checked in with the following update about the band's status:
"Since some people are asking us if we will continue as a band or not after Daniel's departure, let's make it clear that we will continue to spread our dark music.
"We always knew that this point in our career would come. When we would be asked to tour more and more, but the touring does not cover the loss of income from our day jobs... and it is a very difficult point. With this band we do get paid, we just have to cut on our losses. But the rest of us still wanna give it a try!
"We still have faith that there is a need for some true death metal in this world! THE FIRE STILL BURNS!
"We will also be looking for a replacement for Daniel of course. More info on this will come soon. And we just got started working on our next album....how about that folks???"
Guitarist and co-songwriter Daniel Dlimi has decided to leave Aeon after 12 years within the band. Daneil issued the following statement:
“It’s with a heavy heart that I finally have decided to call it quits. Why?!? I simply cant afford doing this no more. To tour with a band in our size, you actually loose money on each and every tour. For us, the expenses is always higher then the income, and if that wasn’t enough, I also need to take time of from my daytime job which means absolutely no income at all during the period of a tour plus the extra expenses I get from the tour that does not get covered by the tour-income. You see where this is going?
"We have done four tours this year alone and each one of them have made us lose money. I have actually NEVER done a single tour and made a single dime in the end of the day. I am actually paying money to do shows for you guys. And the saddest thing about this is that the industry expects you to do so. Something must be seriously fucked up when for example the driver, the sound guy, the merch guy, the tour manager etc. makes more money on a tour compared to bands on the bill that is not headlining?!?
"The one thing I love doing the most with my band is actually being on stage performing for you guys. But my passion for the music simply won’t pay my bills. And as we all know, the record industry is suffering as hell and the record sales are lower then ever. So the only way to grow your band bigger is to do new albums and tour like hell… If you are lucky enough, one day you will be at a level where you actually get paid for you job, And like I said, i can’t afford doing all the tours required to maybe one day be a big enough name to do headline tours and actually make money out of it. Ash Avildsen, founder of Summer Slaughter, comments on this year's edition of the tour: “It's year seven and I think 2013's line-up is the most exciting and diverse yet. Slaughter has never been a one dimensional experience for fans. This year is a true testament to that as we have an amazing mix of extreme music's influential icons and leaders of the new school. Let the underground unite!"
Greg Puciato (Dillinger Escape Plan vocalist) states: “We can't wait to get back on the road! We're launching a US tour in the spring, hitting Europe for some festivals and club shows, and then hitting several more cities with Summer Slaughter all summer long. We are absolutely amped. After being holed up in the studio for such a long time giving birth to One of Us is the Killer, we are all pent up and ready to share material new and old with our supporters doing what we love to do the most. Can't wait to see and either kiss or rip off each and every one of your faces on the road with Summer Slaughter and year round, everywhere.”
Sweden's Aeon, which released the new album "Aeons Black" back in November of 2012 through Metal Blade Records, has checked in with the following announcement about recruiting a fill-in drummer:
"Arttu has decided to take a brake from Aeon. He and his girlfriend are expecting twins in march and he wants to focus on his family at this point. We have no idea on how long this break will be, but there is no need to worry.
"We have an awesome drummer on our hands that will be replacing Arttu to 100%. This means that we will be touring as planned and take on more tours along the way. So please lets welcome the mighty Emil Wiksten as the current drummer of Aeon. His first stage appearance with Aeon will be on January 16 in London @ Garage.
"To have a sneak peak on his insane drumming, check out this drum cam video from one of our rehearsals the other day." More...

Comments the band: "It will be awesome to do this tour with Obscura, and with our newly released album 'Aeons Black' we are now stronger than ever with a killer live set that will leave no venue and crowd intact. Expect nothing else but pure fucking death metal!"
The opener on the run will be Munich death metal hopefuls Over Your Threshold, who comment on their first tour as follows: "We feel honoured to be a part of the 'A Decade Of Progressive Death Metal' Tour and also are very excited to present all songs of our recently released debut album 'Facticity' to you people. There are plenty of stages we´ve never entered before, and all the more we are looking forward to share them with such stunning bands like Obscura, Deadborn, and our label-mates of Aeon. Today MetalSucks offers up an exclusive premiere of "The Glowing Hate," the latest single of iniquity from Swedish death metal unit, Aeon.
The track comes off the band's forthcoming new full-length, "Aeons Black," scheduled to drop next week. Check out "The Glowing Hate" at this location.
Comments guitarist Daniel Dlimi of the tune: "My goal with 'The Glowing Hate' was to write a really diverse song containing all sorts of elements and influences. Personally, I think it turned out great and it's also the song that I am most satisfied with of the ones I wrote for the album. I also think [vocalist] Tommy [Dahlstöm ] managed to write really great lyrics and awesome vocal patterns for it, and as usual it's all about our everlasting hate against religion. The spoken parts at the end were something that Tommy and I came up with over a piss-warm beer in the studio after we were done with the main vocals of the song. It sounded cool so we decided to keep it." More...
