The fourth Persuader "The Fiction Maze" will be released in Europe on January 17th and in North America on January 21st through Inner Wound Recordings. Avalon/Marquee will release the album in Japan on December 25th.
"The Fiction Maze" is another step forward for Persuader as they constantly continue to develop their sound, song-writing skills and performance. Persuader describes the sound on the album: “A lot of hard work was put into creating the perfect mix of everything we've done so far. We've expanded on the Persuader sound while keeping true to the core that is the band; heavy riffing, strong melodies, pounding rhythms and soaring vocals.”
The mixing and mastering was handled by Ronnie Björnström (Aeon, Apostasy, Bone Gnawer) and the production fits the album really well, giving lots of space to the more aggressive side of the Persuader sound, but without losing the melodic parts in the process.
According to the press release "'The Fiction Maze' is the proof that Persuader is still one of the most exciting Swedish bands, and also one of the best power metal bands there is. The performance, song-writing and production is outstanding and with vocalist Jens Carlsson [who made his best vocal contribution so far on this album] they truly stand out in the scene and “The Fiction Maze” will for sure be a big hit and a classic in the scene."
"The Fiction Maze" track listing is as follows:
1. One Lifetime
3. The Fiction Maze
4. Deep in the Dark
6. Son of Sodom
7. Sent to the Grave
9. Dagon Rising
10. Worlds Collide
11. Falling Faster More...
Swedish power metal act Persuader, featuring Savage Circus members Jens Carlsson (vocals) and Emil Norberg (guitars), have signed a deal with Inner Wound Recordings for the release of the band's first album in eight years - "The Fiction Maze." The album is targeted for release in late 2013/early 2014. Exact dates, track listing and more will be announced during the coming months.
The band commented on the new album: "So finally, we're back! A journey that began some five years ago has finally come to the end of the line and we're extremely proud to uncover the new Persuader album entitled "The Fiction Maze". A lot of hard work was put into creating the perfect mix of everything we've done so far, expanded on the Persuader sound while keeping the core that is the band; heavy riffing, strong melodies, pounding rhythms and soaring vocals. Combined with a crushing production courtesy of mixer extraordinaire Ronnie Björnström [Aeon, Apostasy, Bone Gnawer] this turned out to be quite a beast of an album, the true pinnacle of our career so far. The time has come, now join us through the fiction maze!"
Persuader was formed in Umeå, Sweden 1997, and have since then released three albums: "The Hunter" , "Evolution Purgatory" and "When Eden Burns" , all highly acclaimed in the metal scene.

PERSUADER's third full-length effort, "When Eden Burns", was released in May 2006 via Dockyard 1. The follow-up to 2004's "Evolution Purgatory" (Sanctuary/Noise) was recorded at Powerhouse studio in Hamburg, Germany with producer (and SAVAGE CIRCUS bandmate) Piet Sielck (IRON SAVIOR).
PERSUADER members Jens Karlsson (vocals, guitar) and Emil Norberg (lead guitar) teamed up with Sielck and former BLIND GUARDIAN drummer Thomen Stauch in a new band called SAVAGE CIRCUS. The group's debut album, "Dreamland Manor", was released in August 2005 via Dockyard 1. Stauch has since been kicked out of the band.
KillZone Records is extremely proud to announce that it is to sign New Jersey based thrash/prog/metal act Dark Empire for the release of the band's second album 'Humanity Dethroned' for release in North America and European territories. The release of 'Humanity Dethroned' is set for November.
Formed by Matt Moliti (lead and rhythm guitars, death vocals) in 2004, the current band includes Jens Carlsson (Savage Circus, Persuader) lead vocals, Andrew Atwood (lead, rhythm guitar, death vocals) and Samus (Suspyre, Mutiny) drums. Influenced by Symphony X and Rage, Moliti created Dark Empire to be what in his eyes would be the epitome of the perfect metal band: thrashy riffs, blazing solos and aggressive yet melodic vocals, full of energy and emotion.
Dark Empire are no stranger to success this early in their career. The band self released their debut album 'Distant Tides' placed 2 in the year end "best indie release of 2006" list), in BW&BK magazine scoring an impressive 9.5/10 and achieving rave reviews in the industry press and was eventually picked up Rock Machine Records in Brazil.
