German power thrashers Paradox announced that the band will release its sixth studio album entitled "Tales Of The Weird" on December 14, 2012 through AFM Records. The album will be the first for guitar virtuoso Christian Münzner (Obscura), who released his debut instrumental solo album "Timewarp" in April 2011, and Ex-Hatred drummer Daniel Buld.
Muenzner commented on the album: "I already applied for Paradox ten years ago, even before I was in the band Necropahgist. Logisitically this is even the closest band to where I live; we're not even 45 minutes apart, so this makes a lot of sense. Been a fan of that band for years and always wanted to play thrash, so here we go. The new songs sound fucking amazing, I'm stoked to be a part of this!"

Germany's Paradox has issued the following update about the band's lack of live activity and working on a new full-length album to release in 2011:
"Due to numerous inquiries for Live lacking presence of Paradox in Germany now for this an official statement from the band. Despite outstanding CD criticisms of the current album 'Riot Squad' many of you may ask themselves, why PARADOX show so little Live presence. Why Paradox are not booked is reasoned by the fact that our native concert agencies and festival-bookers for what reason always, shows no interest into Paradox.
"They still ignore us. Their business runs among themselves and we belongs not to the family. Therefore play also in all regularity same bands on the bigger festivals. It is not because of us that Paradox gets to see so rare. We want to give concerts, but nobody of them give us a chance. If you want to see us playing live, then please write to the magazines, which meanwhile already call Paradox as Germany`s most underrated band or to the forums of the festival sites.
"The Band already began with the song writing to the 6th studio album, which will be released in 2011 to their 25th anniversary. Metal UP!

"Dear Fans, we have found a new guitar player! Welcome Gus Drax! More info coming soon! Metal Up! Gus Drax was born in Larissa Greece on 21 of September 1987. He decided to play guitar at the age of 14 when he saw 'Live in Tokyo' by Dream Theater and was amazed by John Petrucci. He started practicing for 6-12 hours a day.
"At the age of 19 his talent was noticed by John K, the vocalist/band leader of the UK Progressive Metal Band Biomechanical. These were Metalcamp (Slovenia), Rockin Field (Milan, Italy) and Caos-Emergente (Porto, Potrugal).
"Besides Biomechanical Gus is going to release his first instrumental solo album in 2010 called 'In Search Of Perfection' featuring Bob Katsionis (Firewind, Outloud) and Steve Smyth (Forbidden,ex-Nevermore, Testament) as guests. He's also writing material for a new band he recenlty formed."

German thrash metal legends Destruction will once again be taking part in the tribute show honouring the late Sodom drummer Chris "Witchhunter" Dudek. The show will be headlined by Sodom and include performances from Destruction, Tankard, Assassin, Darkness, Holy Moses, Paradox, The Protectors, Blackfire and Wortmord. A message from Destruction mainman Schmier reads as follows:
"If this phone call would have happened earlier, all this painful confusion would have never taken place. Sodom and Destruction have both been on tour lately, I guess that did lead to a couple of misunderstandings that are all solved now.
"There was never any intention to argue about this event in any case! Tom and myself have a friendship since 25 years. The lack of communication via third parties did lead to some turbulent misinterpreting.
"I would like to point out, that we have moved our North American anniversary tour to play at this event. It was always very important to us. We have confirmed our participation already in late 2008. As some may remember, Chris toured with us before on the Eternal Devastation tour in 1986 when our drummer Tommy left the band. Since that day we were real mates! More...
