Inhale Exhale Calls It Quits

Ohio's Inhale Exhale has posted the following statement online about deciding to call it quits:

"As of right now, after touring 10+ countries, releasing 4 studio albums internationally, and shooting videos and singles and all that goes along with being in this band, Inhale Exhale is coming to an end. We will be playing Alliance Festival that we have up on our tour page, but have not said yes to any other show offers or festivals this year. We have only briefly discussed if we want to have a final show. We have become to busy with other endeavors or our hearts and minds are elsewhere.

"Thankful, always for all of your support and care for Inhale Exhale. When we were on the road all the time, and when we've been off, and only communicating through our albums and online pages.

"All of you that have shared your homes with us, hung out with us, sang lyrics with us, crowd surfed, had meaningful conversations (or ridiculous ones), shared your passion, joy or pain. And even your music and creative endeavors of your own. For that we thank you.

"Times can be tough in a band, but it comes with the territory. It's one of the most cut throat, stuck up, brown nosed industries. There are battles where you never thought there would be, and people against you, that you never thought would be. It changes you. But we're thankful for the journey, and that we could share our passion and art with you. And we value and feel extremely blessed with the lasting relationships we've made on and off the road through IE. More...

Inhale Exhale Releases New Music Video

Inhale Exhale is debuting a new video for “Low” today through Metal Injection. Check out the video in the player below, or over at MetalInjeciton.net. A performance clip with a frozen tundra serving as the stage, the video is the first from the band’s fourth album, "Movement," released earlier this month on Red Cord Records.

“We picked ‘Low’ for first video because thematically it centered around the album title, about making choices and moving forward,” explains guitarist John LaRussa. “It’s not the heaviest song on the album, but we thought it hit hard and we loved the chorus on it.”

"The shooting process was pretty extreme,” LaRussa adds. “It was 11 hours of getting blasted with snow. It was centered a lot on performance and we definitely all felt it after the shoot.” More...

Inhale Exhale Streaming New Song

Post-hardcore heroes Inhale Exhale are excited to unleash new track “Carpe Diem,” which is premiering exclusively today with Revolver. The track is the second new song the band is previewing for fans in advance of the October 9th release of its fourth album, "Movement," on Red Cord Records. Stream "Carpe Diem" now at Revolver right here.

“‘Carpe Diem’ is basically about the idea the album is centered on – moving forward and keeping your head up above all the garbage the world throws at you,” says guitarist John LaRussa. “It’s about making the most from any situation. If it’s something positive, rolling with it and remembering the good from it. If it’s negative, take it and use it to make yourself stronger. We get something out of every experience, and it's up to us what we do with it.”

Following the October 9th release of "Movement," Inhale Exhale returns to Europe for several weeks of tour stops throughout Germany, Austria, Poland, Netherlands, Czech Republic, and the Ukraine. The following press release was issued about the album:

"Self-produced by LaRussa at his own Revelry Recording, Movement is a study in controlled chaos. The volatile, melody-driven anthems carry the weight of seasoned survivors who persevere come what may. It’s easily Inhale Exhale’s most aggressive work to date - a fact only underscored by ferocity of their previous albums. On Movement, they push the envelope on all fronts while staying true to their hearts, their fans and their roots. More...

Inhale Exhale Announces "Movement" Details

Cleveland post-hardcore act Inhale Exhale are pleased to announce an October 9th release date for "Movement," the band's fourth album and first with new label Red Cord Records.

"Movement" marks the band’s first new material since a brief hiatus following the release of 2009’s "Bury Me Alive." The following press release was also issued about the release: "It’s an album that finds the tightly knit quartet further perfecting the feral riffs and dynamic anthems they’ve become known for, one that shows the band haven’t 'moved' away from their signature sound. Which isn’t to say that Movement sounds rehashed or recycled, but rather like a band reinvigorated."

“I think Movement comes from the same vein as Bury Me Alive, but it's definitely a more aggressive and technical album all around,” says guitarist John LaRussa. “It has an old school feel to it. It doesn't let up too much, but it's really balanced with melody. Ultimately we've never tried to sound like anyone. We have always just wanted to make well crafted songs.”

Watch the teaser trailer for "Movement" at this location. The track listing is:

1) Aesthetics
2) Party Drama
3) A Poise for Poson
4) Mirage In The Middle of Summer
5) The Collectors
6) Low
7) Carpe Diem
8) Ain’t No Trip To Cleveland
9) See You Later
10) Under Sheets Stained In Blood

Inhale Exhale Issues New EP Update

Inhale Exhale has posted the following update online in regards to its forthcoming new EP.

"Hello all, we are an independent artist now and have decided to release a 6 song EP for you guys on our own. We have no backing from a label, or investor. Just YOU, the fans! The industry is changing and we have been compelled by the Inhale Exhale fans to release another album. If you want to hear it, help us out and support us! We want to keep writing music for you. And it’s down to being us and you doing this. The Industry is in the hole for most artists right now.

On the business side and artist side people are frantic on what to do and how to keep up with the changing of media as a whole. Unfortunately the artist suffer the most. Trust is something that is commonly broken in music now more than ever. We are not a wealthy group of guys making killer money doing this. Therefore we have had to re think our situation and where we want to go from here. All we know is that we appreciate and love ALL OF YOU for your continuing support of Inhale Exhale and letting us share our hearts and music with you.

So you are now a bigger part in this more then ever. Anything you can give is a big help to us. It helps pay towards our bills/debt that suffer while we’ve tried to pursue this and tour and produce records. Spread the word and THANK YOU in advance."

You can donate to the band at this location.

"We are extremely bummed that we are having to drop off the rest of the tour. Our van died a little under a week ago in Baltimore and we've been waiting to get it fixed only to be informed that it won't even be worth the hassle. So we lay to rest The Belafonte and say bye to all our Maryland peeps today (thank you Sara, Kristin and Summer So Far for taking such great care of us). We are flying back home, recharging our batteries and will be destroying a venue near you ASAP. We are extremely sorry that it happened this way. Go support the tour."
