Midgets With Machetes/Uprising Records is proud to announce the signing of New Jersey Progressive Metal band the Binary Code. The label plans to release their debut album in the spring of 2009.
In addition to the signing The Binary Code has also been picked up for exclusive representation by the Elite Touring Group and will hit the road for short run with their new label mates The Cast Pattern in the fall.
New Jersey technical death metal band, The Binary Code, have canceled their tour with Mabus. The band discusses the details behind the decision:
“We are in shared aggreance with Mabus that the tour we have had booked for months now has become unfeasible because of gas prices, and economical situations amongst the states we were hitting.”
”Back earlier this year when we began booking the tour, everything sounded logistical, there weren't so many problems in front of us. We were SO excited to go out and play in all of the different states, so it saddens us that we will not be able to make it out in June/July.”
”However, we have some really cool bands that want to get together for tours in the future very soon, so we'll see what happens, and keep you all posted.”
”On a good note, recording is going well, STP song is coming up soon, and we still have some good shows lined up. We'll post upcoming dates soon.”
New Jersey technical death metallers, The Binary Code, issue the following update from the studio on their MySpace:
“So, yesterday went SMOOTH as can be. Drums were recording Au Natural. No triggers, no sound replacements, nothing. Just the mics and the drums, no bullshit. They sound ILL! Same set up as last time with the drums.”
”So, we got the drums down, they sound great, then we got the Guitars down, they sound sick! Different guitar tone this time. More...defined. The gain was almost off! It sounds KILLER!”
”Today is bass and vocals. We'll update you all tomorrow after we're done with the recording! Maybe we'll have a sample to post for you guys by Sunday night, or Monday afternoon.”
After recording, The Binary Code will be heading on a US tour with Mabus. Exact tour dates will be released soon.
New Jersey technical death metallers, The Binary Code, issue the following update regarding the addition of a new singer on their MySpace page:
"Our singer position is FILLED! A word from Cody, our new singer:"
"'Hi. I'm Cody. Please welcome me to the Binary Code. Apparently, I did something right. You can expect a much different vocal approach out of me than the previous singers, and I hope you enjoy what ideas I have to offer to the experimental metal kingdom. O'Doyle rules.'"
"- Cody Louis"
"We'd like to thank ANYONE who applied for the position, Cody just brought everything we wanted to the table and then some."
New Jersey technical death metallers, The Binary Code, have issued the following update on their Myspace page regarding the departure of their singer:
"Woody and the Binary Code have parted ways as of February 4th, 2008. Everything was done on good terms. Woody has a life ahead of him that needed some changes, and being in a time consuming band was not on the itinerary. Woody will possibly continue his musical career at a slower pace with his original band In the Ether."
"That all being said, we ARE looking for a singer right now. We have played every show since February 4th without a singer and felt it was a success nonetheless. However, we do want to fill that position once again. A big factor in the decision made between Woody and the Binary Code was dedication. We require a sickening amount of dedication to be in this band. Many of you who know us personally already know how much we rehearse and write throughout the week. If you're interested, and want more details about future plans, possible label details, shows that aren't posted, etc, just ask us." More...
