The Maryland Deathfest organizers report that "Sonar will be re-opening before MDF, and technically they already have."
As previously reported, the venue of the Maryland Deathfest was up in the air when Baltimore's Sonar nightclub failed to renew their liquor license and closed its doors.
The organizers futher commented: "These last couple of days have been incredibly confusing and stressful, but we are currently back to the regularly scheduled program. And don't worry, beyond plan B is a plan C, because that's how we roll. See you in a couple of weeks."
As such, the set times that were previously announced should now hold.

The ninth annual Maryland Deathfest has announced the final lineup and set times for the event. However, not long after announcing these details came word that the Baltimore venue, Sonar, unexpectedly closed its doors today. The festival organizers claim to have a backup plan that should involve little to no inconvenience to ticket holders (even those coming from out of town) and will be releasng more details soon.

Orange Goblin announced last month that the band will be entering the studio in August to record a new album. The band also also now been confirmed to appear at the Hard Rock Hell V festival, which takes place at Pontins, Prestatyn, North Wales from Thursday 1st of December to Sunday the 4th of December 2011.
Orange Goblin will play on the Main Stage on Saturday, December 3rd and other acts appearing over the weekend include Girlschool, Tygers of Pan Tang, Black Stone Cherry, The Quireboys, Raven, Praying Mantis, Tyketto, Black Spiders, SAHG, Therapy?, Wolfsbane, Witchfynde, an exclusive festival appearance by Ace Frehley and many more.

British heavy metal veterans Orange Goblin have announced that they will be entering the studio this August to record their seventh studio album, which is expected to be released through Candlelight Records in March of next year.
Some of the song titles for the new album include "Red Tide Rising," "The Fog," "The Filthy & The Few," and "Bishop's Wolf." More details on the album will be revealed as soon as they are available.
Orange Goblin has posted the following announcement online about appearing at the U.K. Sonisphere Festival 2011:
"We are happy to announce that Orange Goblin have been confirmed to appear at the UK Sonisphere Festival 2011 which takes place at Knebworth on the weekend of 8th, 9th and 10th July. The band will be playing the Jagermeister Stage on Sunday 10th July.
"Other bands appearing over the weekend include Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax (this will be the first ever 'Big 4' show in the UK), Motorhead, Slipknot, Mastodon, Arch Enemy, Airbourne and many, many more."

Orange Goblin has issued the following announcement about lining up U.S. shows:
"We are very happy to announce that Orange Goblin will be returning to the US to celebrate their 15th Anniversary with a full nationwide tour in May and June. Support on all dates (with the exception of Maryland Death Fest and Chicago) comes from Indianapolis doom metal heroes The Gates of Slumber and Brooklyn’s heavy psych-freaks NAAM.
"These tour dates will coincide with the US re-release of the first five Orange Goblin albums, recorded on Rise Above Records and made available in the US through Metal Blade. They will also be available as a limited edition box-set."

"Orange Goblin have been confirmed as headliners at this years Burning Earth Festival, due to take place at the Festsaal Kreuzberg in Berlin, Germany.

"Orange Goblin are very happy to announce that they have been conformed as headliners at the Volcom sponsored Band Joust that takes place at RockSchool Barbey in Bordeaux, France on Saturday 4th December 2010. This is Orange Goblin's one and ONLY date in France of 2010.

Orange Goblin has issued the following announcement about headlining the Stoner Sessions Festival in Spain:
"Orange Goblin has been confirmed as headliners of the Stoner Sessions Festival that will take place at the Sala O Tunel (Coliseum) in A Coruna, Spain on Saturday 13th November 2010. This will be the first Orange Goblin show in Spain since the band's appearance at the Azkena Rock Festival in 2008. Other bands set to appear include Horn of the Rhino, Supa Scoopa, Sahara and one other still to be announced. Tickets are 16 €uros in advance or 20 €uros at the venue and will be on sale soon from this location."

British doom metal outfit Orange Goblin has announced that they will be doing a headlining tour of the United Kingdom this December, in celebration of the band's fifteenth anniversary. A message from the group reads as follows:

The organisers of Britain's High Voltage festival has announced three more bands for this year's edition of the event. British heavy metal legends Saxon will be performing on the Metal Hammer stage, along with the other two new confirmations, British doom metal veterans Cathedral and Swedish power metal outfit Hammerfall. The festival is scheduled for July 24th - 25th at Victoria Park in London.
