More comments have been made on both sides of the camp regarding God Seed's recent signing to Indie Recordings. The label commented:
"Through the last years we've worked with King & Gaahl in many different bands and projects such as. Gorgoroth, Trelldom, Sahg, Audrey Horne and Wardruna. The quality of their work has always been outstanding, and we welcome this opportunity to once again work with them – this time building something new together. The as-yet-untitled God Seed album will be released late 2009. The album has been in the making for some time already, and continues the already established path of King and Gaahl in a natural, yet progressive way.
"The new material sounds great and we are truly looking forward to be a part of their new musical carrier through God Seed."
In a press statement King comments the signing and the upcoming album:
"I have high hopes for the future signing to Indie Recordings. Gaahl and I have had various negative experiences with labels in the past, but feel confident that we have made the right choice this time. Indie Recordings consists of people we have worked with in the past and they have shown 100% professionalism. They have proven to take care and bring the best out of the bands on their roster. The fact that they are a Norwegian label and not a Swedish label makes me even more optimistic for the future!!"
God Seed's studio line up is as follows:
Vocals - Gaahl
Bass - King
Drums – Frost (Satyricon, 1349)
Guitar – Ice Dale (Enslaved, I, Audrey Horne)
Guitar – Telloch (Nidingr, Umoral)

T.C King a.k.a King ov Hell, the bassplayer in Gorgoroth/Sahg/I and Audrey Horne, recently arrived from the USA. He is working on a project with Joey Jordison, Dan Spitz and a few other famous musicians for a new project. Mr. King had to quit his role in Gorgoroth due to pressure from the school where he works as a teacher.
As previously reported, Peter Beste is making a short movie about lead singer Gaahl focusing on his extremly violent personality and his life as a father and artist. The movie will be broadcasted by MTV and will also appear on a Vice DVD with several other related segments. The first pressing of this DVD is 100,000 units, and will be distributed in all major music retailers in the US, and most in Europe.

After 13 successful years as one of the pioneers of modern Nordic Black Metal, IMMORTAL disbanded in 2003 with a legacy of seven full-length albums, including the 2002 milestone, "Sons of Northern Darkness". Following a long hiatus, the band decided to enter the live battlefield again.
Come 2007, the world will experience a ferocious new IMMORTAL lineup, featuring Abbath, Horgh, and new bass player Apollyon from AURA NOIR.
"I needed a break," Abbath explained. "I think we all did! We were simply burnt out, and there was no point in continuing. We had a Norwegian tour booked, and had performed at some great festivals both in the U.S. and Europe, but it just didn't feel right any longer."
In the meantime, drummer Horgh toured with Sweden's death metal masters HYPOCRISY and released the "Virus" album, while Abbath has been working on his sideproject, I, featuring members of ENSLAVED and SAHG, along with IMMORTAL's original drummer, Armagedda.
"I'm really proud of that album," Abbath stated enthusiastically, "and it was an important album to make in order to be able to focus on IMMORTAL again."
AOL Music has two relevant albums due for release this week streaming in full:
Elina of Greece's Metal Temple webzine recently conducted an interview with IMMORTAL / I frontman Abbath. A couple of excerpts from the interview follow:
Metal Temple: How come you chose this humble name for the new project?
Abbath: I didn't want to call it ABBATH so...
Metal Temple: [Laughs] Ok, I get your point!
Abbath: I thought it was a brilliant idea. It was Demonaz's idea and while I was struggling to find a name, I didn't want to call it ABBATH even though it's kind of a solo project and of course not IMMORTAL because it's not IMMORTAL but a solo project. Demonaz suggested the name I and I thought it was just great! He also came with the name IMMORTAL back then! So, yes, it's cool and I think that this name. I really symbolizes things; it's like a column!
Metal Temple: What were the impressions from the Hole In The Sky Festival in August which was also the first appearance of I?
Abbath: People liked it. I was struggling a bit on stage because I was suffering from an infection and after a couple of songs I was in a lot of pain and it was difficult to do a lot of stuff on stage, but I had to be focused until the show was over. We also didn't have a very good sound on stage because we didn't have a sound check so it was?well, it has been better! But, we did the best we could under that situation and the audience seemed to like it.
Metal Temple: What about the song "Far Beyond the Quiet" and its dedication to Quorthon of BATHORY? How did this occur?
Abbath: Actually, when I composed that song, there wasn't any intention to make it sound like BATHORY but it ended up like that. So, Demonaz, when he listened to it, he told me that this could be a pretty cool dedication to Quorthon if he could also write the lyrics in his spirit, as he too is a big fan of Quorthon's writing. So he did a fantastic job with that as well.
Metal Temple: In what ways do you believe your music has progressed through this album?
Abbath: It's like we are on a balance point with this one. We have searched the golden past, but we have also opened new doors and made something fresh for this new era. That's generally my opinion and I think that many people agree with it. A lot of people are actually waiting for this album
Metal Temple: Are there any touring plans arranged?
Abbath: We haven't planned any tour or anything with I, but I would love to come to the Rockwave Festival with IMMORTAL, although there aren't any offers from its organizers, but anyway, I would like to come as soon as possible to Greece 'cause I really like it there and I also have some friends there.

Speaking with BW&BK about his new musical venture I, IMMORTAL frontman Abbath shed some light on the possibility of a new Immortal album that could follow the band's reunion shows.
Says Abbath, "After the shows next year, we'll see where we are at with Immortal and how the spirit in the band is. Because I already have ideas if we are gonna do a new Immortal album!
If it happens, we’re not gonna continue from Sons Of Northern Darkness, because Sons, Damned In Black, and At The Heart Of Winter were like a trio. More...
I, the new band featuring Abbath (IMMORTAL), Ice Dale (ENSLAVED, AUDREY HORNE), TC King (SAHG, ex-GORGOROTH) and Armagedda (ex-IMMORTAL), has uploaded two tracks from its upcoming debut album, "Between Two Worlds", on its MySpace page. Decibel magazine had this to say about "Between Two Worlds": "Everything about the debut album from Norway's I screams black metal, excepting the death 'n' roll guitar riffs that pervade throughout. Abbath has managed to fuse his signature snarl with MOTÖRHEAD-styled rock and Demonaz's BATHORY-influenced lyrics in a way no band has previously attempted. IMMORTAL fans will surely embrace the band, as will extreme music newcomers that don't know the band members' history. This is a worthy new start for these scene mainstays."
