Lindemann Announces Debut Album

Clemens "Ardek" Wijers, the keyboardist and main composer behind extreme metal conjurers Carach Angren, has contributed to a new project titled Lindemann, featuring Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann and Peter Tägtgren of Hypocrisy and Pain.

This newly formed band has revealed that debut album, titled "Skill in Pills," will be released later this year.

Regarding the new project, Wijers comments: "I'm very proud to announce that I have created orchestral arrangements for project Lindemann by Till Lindemann and Peter Tägtgren. Their album called 'Skills in Pills' will be released in May and is going to be a killer!"

Legendary Swedish producer and musical mastermind Peter Tägtgren compliments: "Clemens pimped up my orchestra parts like a god."

Carach Angren Posts Full New Album

The Dutch symphonic blackened death metallers of Carach Angren are streaming their entire new opus "This Is No Fairy Tale" below.

Says the band about the new album: "The long wait is finally over. We proudly present you our fourth full-length musical horror story telling the utterly dark tale of two children on a quest to escape total darkness. As the music and lyrics take you from chapter to chapter you will learn about the inevitable outcome…This Is No Fairytale!"

Carach Angren Releases New Lyric Video

After releasing a lyric video for "There's No Place Like Home," symphonic black metal band Carach Angren now has a follow-up clip online for "Two Flies Flew Into A Black Sugar Cobweb." Check out this new video below, courtesy of Terrorizer.com. The band comments:

Carach Angren Posts New Lyric Video

The extreme metal conjurers from Carach Angren have premiered an animated lyric video for the track "There's No Place Like Home," which can be seen below thanks to Revolvermag.com.

The video was directed and animated by graphic artist Costin Chioreanu (At The Gates, Mayhem), and is taken from the band's forthcoming new album, "This Is No Fairy Tale."

"This Is No Fairy Tale" will be released by Season of Mist on February 24th, 2015 in North America (February 23rd worldwide). The album was recorded at Tidalwave Studio in Karlsruhe, Germany with Patrick Damiani.Pre-orders are available here and the track listing is as follows:

Melodic black metal outfit Carach Angren released a new track in anticipation of the band's first-ever North American tour.

Carach Angren Embarks On First North American Tour

Carach Angren will be embarking on the band's first-ever North American tour alongside Deicide, Septicflesh, Inquisition, and Abysmal Dawn.

The tour, which begins tonight in Charlotte, will continue throughout the United States and Canada until October 29th. A full list of confirmed tour dates can be found below.

Carach Angren is touring in support of previous record "Where The Corpses Sink Forever" (reviewed here). The band also recently entered Tidalwave Studio in Karlsruhe, Germany with Patrick Damiani to record a new album, tentatively due for a late 2014 release via Season of Mist.

Onslaught Drops Off Eindhoven Bill

The Eindhoven Metal Meeting organization has announced that due to scheduling issues Onslaught has cancelled the band's previously planned performance at the festival.

Recently reunited U.K. thrashers Xentrix will replace Onslaught on Saturday December 13th, 2014.

Xentrix has released four albums through Roadrunner Records: 1989’s "Shattered Existence," 1990’s "For Whose Advantage," 1991’s "Dilute to Taste," and 1992’s "Kin." Heavy Metal Records also released a 1996 LP called "Scourge."

Eindhoven Metal Meeting Reveals Full Band Lineup

The Eindhoven Metal Meeting is very proud to announce that with the addition of In Solitude, Valkyrja, Thanatos, Skyforger, Dust Bolt, The Committee, and Miasmal, the line-up for this year's edition - set to take place December 12 & 13th, 2014 at the Effenaar venue in Eindhoven, The Netherlands - is now complete.

The Dutch all-female death metal band Sisters Of Suffocation will also perform on Friday, December 12th at the official after party at the Dynamo Club together with the cover-bands Mercyfull Fake and Forever Twisted. Entrance is free with an Eindhoven Metal Meeting ticket!

Marduk Will Not Be Joining Deicide On Tour

Yesterday it was announced that Marduk would be joining Deicide on tour with Carach Angren and Septicflesh, and a tour poster (available below) was released showing Marduk's name.

However Marduk has now stated the band was never confirmed for the tour and will not be appearing. The group's Facebook page was updated with this announcement:

"It has come to our attention that a tour with Deicide and Marduk has been announced. This was unfortunately an error, seeing as we already declined this offer. As to why this was broadcast in the first place we can but speculate, but most likely it’s a case of miscommunication." More...

Deicide Announces Tour With Septicflesh, Marduk

Second Update: Marduk has now confirmed the band will NOT be playing this tour. Read the statement over here.

Update: There now appears to be some question as to whether Marduk is actually on the tour due to a comment on the band's Facebook profile (check out the screen capture below the tour promo poster).

This coming October, 2014, the death metal veterans in Deicide will be hitting the road for the "In The Minds of Evil" North American trek.

Support on the tour will come from the Swedish black metal masters in Marduk, the Greek symphonic death outfit Septicflesh, and fellow symphonic extreme metal group Carach Angren.

Specific dates and venues are forthcoming (so check back soon!), and the tour promo poster can be seen below.

Septicflesh will be performing in support of newly released opus "Titan" (stream the album here), while Carach Angren is currently working on a new album and Marduk will still be preaching from the 2012 "Serpent Sermon" (reviewed here). More...

Carach Angren To Enter The Studio

Dutch symphonic black metal battalion Carach Angren is currently putting the finishing touches to the pre-production of an upcoming fourth full-length, with a title and release date to be unveiled soon.

The band will enter Tidal Wave Studio on June 10th to record the album together with Patrick Damiani. The follow-up to 2012’s "Where The Corpses Sink Forever" (reviewed here) will be mixed by producer Peter Tägtgren.

The band issued the following statement: “Our writing process is finally reaching its end and we are very excited to once again enter Tidal Wave Studio to record our fourth full length concept album! We are very much looking forward to work with our long time partner in crime Patrick Damiani, and, for the first time, with Peter Tägtgren. We can't wait to present this monster to our fans! Carach Angren Streaming Re-Issue Tracks

Melodic black metal masters Carach Angren are streaming tracks off the reissues of their first two albums "Lammendam" and "Death Came Through A Phantom Ship."

The songs, titled "A Strange Presence Near the Woods" and "The Shining Was a Portent of Doom" are streaming now courtesy of New Noise Magazine Check them out below.

Carach Angren To Re-Release Albums

Carach Angren's first two albums, "Lammendam" and "Death Came Through A Phantom Ship," will be re-released via Season of Mist on July 19th (July 23rd in North America) in remastered versions with bonus tracks.

Both albums will be re-released on Digipak CD and various coloured LPs. Pre-orders are available on Season of Mist’s e-shop now.

The label also comments:

"Originally released in 2008, debut album 'Lammendam' set the basics of Carach Angren’s refined yet angry symphonic black metal. The Dutch created a baroque cinematic style that related true to their haunting subject to classical horror movies, which was underlined by the use of violin and grand piano.
