Shinedown Announces New Album Release Date

Shinedown have announced that their new album "The Sound Of Madness" has been given a June 24th release date. The band's vocalist Brent Smith had this to say:

"We're in the midst of picking our album cover and locking in dates for shooting our video for 'Devour'... which you will be hearing very soon. It goes to radio on May 5th and I think you'll be able to buy it that day or the next day on iTunes. Right now we're in a rehearsal space tightening up the set list for the shows that start in Jacksonville on May 9th. I should say I'm sorry for making you all wait this long for the new album, but I can't! All I can tell you is that it will be worth the wait. Remember you guys are the boss.
- all my love,
Brent"

Shinedown Reveal New Lineup

SHINEDOWN vocalist Brent Smith has issued the following update:

"I wanted to reach out to all of the Shinedown fans myself and let you know what's going on firsthand. A lot has happened this past year and there have been some changes within the band that we've been meaning to tell you about. I love Jasin (Todd, guitarist) like a brother, we all do - he'll always be family and we hope all of the best for him, but, at this time, he's no longer with us in Shinedown. This all went down awhile ago, and I'm sorry to break this news today. I realize that this isn't the best timing, but with stuff like this, there really isn't ever a good time. We just felt like we couldn't wait any longer and had to let you all know. We've brought an old friend into SD - Nick Perri. Nick's an amazing guitarist and we've known him forever from our days on the road with SILVERTIDE (many of you were probably at those shows and remember him too). We also have a new bass player - Eric Bass. Just a fantastic musician and all around great guy - we can't wait for you to meet him. And you will very soon - we're hitting the road next month. I'm also happy to report that the new album is finished and we're so excited to share it with all of you. It's called The Sound Of Madness and will be out this summer... the first song is coming soon. Lastly, I just want to thank you again for all of your support. You're the best fans in the world and the reason we're even here. Without you, there is no Shinedown. Don't ever forget that - we definitely don't."

Motley Crue Management Dismiss "False Rumours"

Tenth Street Entertainment — which represents MÖTLEY CRÜE — has shot down as (at least partially) "blatantly false and completely unfounded" Internet rumors that CRÜE will headline a festival-type tour called "Cruefest", with support from several other artists from the Tenth Street management stable, including BUCKCHERRY, PAPA ROACH, SIXX: A.M. and DROWNING POOL. According to Tenth Street, CRÜE's April 15 press conference/announcement in Los Angeles will relate to "a few" (but presumably not all) of the following artists:

MÖTLEY CRÜE
ATREYU
SAVING ABEL
SHINEDOWN
CHEVELLE
APOCALYPTICA
THE EXIES
PUDDLE OF MUDD
STAIND
GODSMACK
DROWNING POOL
THEORY OF DEADMAN
THREE DAYS GRACE
AVENGED SEVENFOLD
SIXX: A.M.
TRAPT
SEETHER
FLYLEAF
BUCKCHERRY
BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE
RED
BELLE & SEBASTIAN
PETE YORN
THE WALLFLOWERS
3 DOORS DOWN

All four members of CRÜE will be present at the April 15 press conference at a location yet to be determined for what the release hyped as "by far...one of the biggest music announcements of the year!!" The band is also launching a contest in which one grand prize winner from each major city in the country will be flown to Los Angeles to cover the announcement, complete with a chance to interview the band and have the interview broadcast live. Details can be found at the official CRÜE site.

Winter Fresh SnoCore Tour In Ft Wayne, IN

Feb 17th, 2006 – Ft Wayne, IN – Pieres Nightclub

Well the night didn’t start out good. Besides being late and missing Halestorm and some asshole bumping into me and knocking my camera to the ground and breaking it (The reason why I didn’t photograph Seether), the night wasn’t that bad considering all I endured.

So I did miss Halestorm, although I did have the pleasure of seeing/photographing them in Detroit on Dec 17th, 2005 in Detroit. Great band with lots of potential. Look for them in your Neighborhood. More...
