The organizers of Belgium's Graspop Metal Meeting festival have announced that Cavalera Conspiracy, the band featuring Sepultura founders Igor and Max Cavalera, have been confirmed for the event. Also added to the bill is Russian folk metal band Arkona. Neither band's performance date has been confirmed as of yet however. The festival takes place in the town of Dessel from June 24th-26th.

As I Lay Dying has announced that the band will headline California Metalfest V, set to take place March 19, 2011 at The Grove in Anaheim, California.

Blame it on the liquored egg nog or a simple exuberance to finally tear open those beautiful packages under the tree, but somehow we didn't get up the list of new Rock Band Network metal songs last Friday. Just because it isn't the weekend doesn't mean you can't pull down the plastic guitars and get a-rocking, though, as this week sees quite a few new metal entries to the game.
The Xbox 360 version has been taken over by the likes of Dimmu Borgir, Arkaea, Battlesoul, Heaven Shall Burn, and Deadlock. On December 28th the PS3 version of Rock Band gets more Suicide Silence, All That Remains, and Between the Buried and Me. Continuing to beef up its metal selection, the Wii edition gets IWrestledABearOnce, Demon Hunter, and Asking Alexandria on January 4th.

The organisers of the Graspop Metal Meeting, the largest heavy metl festival in Belgium, has announced several more bands for next year's edition of the event. Among the newly confirmed acts are Rob Zombie, Whitesnake, Journey, Foreigner, Suicide Silence, Firewind, Ghost, All That Remains, Escape The Fate and FM.

Mitch Lucker, the lead vocalist of California based deathcore outfit Suicide Silence, has revealed via Twitter that the band will filming their upcoming shows in their home state for a future DVD release. These shows will take place on October 28th in San Diego and on October 29th in Pomona. Stay tuned for further information.

Sweden's Katatonia has checked in with the following announcement about joining the December "No Sleep Til" tour, which also features Megadeth, Parkway Drive, Atreyu, Suicide Silence, 3 Inches of Blood, and more:

California deathcore act Suicide Silence have released thier brand new music video for the song "Disengage." The video was filmed in the Los Angeles area with director Thomas Mignone.
Suicide Silence is currently seeking input from fans regarding what cover song they would like to see the band record next. Suicide Silence is set to release a new single for the song “Disengage” on April 20th. This will feature the album version and a special remix courtesy of Big Chocolate (aka, Cameron Argon of Disfiguring the Goddess & Burning the Masses). A sample of the remix can be heard on the video clip below. This single will be issued only in digital and a 7” blue vinyl format, with artwork done by Joshua Belanger. The band also recently shot a new video for “Disengage” with director Thomas Mignone, which is set to debut online sometime next month.
Tonight's Headbanger's Ball, which will air on MTV2 at 3AM EST, will be hosted by Suicide Silence. The line-up of videos is as follows:
