Cannibal Corpse will once again be returning to Latin America and this time the band will be bringing along label mates The Black Dahlia Murder as well as Suicide Silence to Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador and Venezuela in December. The tour will begin on December 3rd in Sao Paulo, Brazil and will wrap up on December 13th in Mexico City, Mexico.
Cannibal Corpse vocalist George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher comments on the tour: "In every interview, I am asked where the sickest and best death metal fans are and it is hands down South America. I've seen kids in the front row bleeding and losing their minds, they are all crazy in the best way possible. It's hands down my favorite place to play and I can't wait to come back!"
The Black Dahlia Murder vocalist Trevor Strnad adds, "We are very excited to be a part of this monstrous South American tour. It is always a pleasure to play alongside the almighty Cannibal Corpse... but in South America?! The shows are going to be absolutely insane, without a doubt. To the South American fans: prepare for an unearthly ritual!"
Guitarist Brian Eschbach comments further, "We are extremely excited for another chance to support the almighty Cannibal Corpse!!! It has always been great touring with them. We especially look forward to seeing them DESTROY South America and Mexico City. iViva la Smash!"

Two members of Suicide Silence, vocalist Mitch Lucker and lead guitarist Mark Heylmun sat in for the entire duration of the most recent Metal Injection Livecast. The band revealed some info on the new album, "The Black Crown," including why the group chose to work with producer Steve Evetts, and that there will be an exclusive Rob Zombie cover on certain editions of the album. The music breaks include three tracks from the new album, "You Only Live Once", "Human Violence" and the first listen to the studio recording of "Fuck Everything." Metal Injection has posted a video report from the 2011 Revolver Golden Gods Awards black carpet. Some of the names featured in the report include Corey Taylor of Slipknot/Stone Sour, Chris Jericho, Vince Neil, Volbeat, Asking Alexandria, Sebastian Bach, Machine Head, The Ozzy Osbourne Band, Suicide Silence, Anthrax, MMA Fighter Dan "The Outlaw" Hardy, and Sirius/XM radio personality Jose Mangin. Suicide Silence is currently mixing with Zeuss (Chimaira, Hatebreed) after completing album recordings with producer Steve Evetts (Dillinger Escape Plan) on the band's third full-length offering. Suicide Silence has also announced the album's title as "The Black Crown."

The organizers of Belgium's premier heavy metal festival, Graspop Metal Meeting, have announced three more names for this year's edition of the festival. Thrash metal super group Dublin Death Patrol, which features Testament frontman Chuck Billy and Hatriot/former Exodus vocalist Steve "Zetro" Souza, will be performing at the event, as will Rise To Remain, which includes Austin Dickinson, the son o iron Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson, as well as All Shall Perish. The organizers of Belgium's largest heavy metal festival, Graspop Metal Meeting, have announced that Black Label Society, Kreator, Duff McKagen's Loaded, Monster Magnet, and Legion Of The Damned have all been confirmed to play at the festival, which will take place in the town of Dessel from June 24th -26th. The official lineup and dates for the 4th annual Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival has finally been announced. Confirming much of what was leaked last week, DISTURBED, GODSMACK and MEGADETH will headline the main stage, joined by MACHINE HEAD, IN FLAMES, TRIVIUM, and many more bands. The tour will make a 26 date trek across the country beginning on July 9th at the San Manuel Amphitheater in San Bernardino, California. This summer’s mainstage artists, DISTURBED, GODSMACK, and MEGADETH, will be joined by a mix of the best hard rock and metal artists of today. IN FLAMES, MACHINE HEAD and TRIVIUM have grown through the ranks to now perform on the mainstage in rotating slots throughout the tour.
The JAGERMEISTER stage will feature UNEARTH, KINGDOM OF SORROW, RED FANG, and the winners of JAGERMEISTER Battle of the Bands. The Extreme Stage will spotlight SUICIDE SILENCE, ALL SHALL PERISH and STRAIGHT LINE STITCH.

While the official announcement has yet to be made, initial details about the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival 2011 are being reported around the 'net. Blabbermouth.net reports that Disturbed and Godsmack are rumored to be headlining this summer's touring festival, which will kick off in early July.

American metal outfit Suicide Silence has announced that the band will be entering the studio shortly to begin recording a third full-length album, which is expected to be released this Summer.
Producing the record will be Steve Evetts, who has previously worked with the likes of Hatebreed and Everytime I Die. Additional details on the upcoming third album will bed announced as they are made available. In the mean time, you can check out Suicide Silence's music via the band's official MySpace profile.
The organizers of Belgium's Graspop Metal Meeting festival have announced that Cavalera Conspiracy, the band featuring Sepultura founders Igor and Max Cavalera, have been confirmed for the event. Also added to the bill is Russian folk metal band Arkona. Neither band's performance date has been confirmed as of yet however. The festival takes place in the town of Dessel from June 24th-26th.

Blame it on the liquored egg nog or a simple exuberance to finally tear open those beautiful packages under the tree, but somehow we didn't get up the list of new Rock Band Network metal songs last Friday. Just because it isn't the weekend doesn't mean you can't pull down the plastic guitars and get a-rocking, though, as this week sees quite a few new metal entries to the game.
The Xbox 360 version has been taken over by the likes of Dimmu Borgir, Arkaea, Battlesoul, Heaven Shall Burn, and Deadlock. On December 28th the PS3 version of Rock Band gets more Suicide Silence, All That Remains, and Between the Buried and Me. Continuing to beef up its metal selection, the Wii edition gets IWrestledABearOnce, Demon Hunter, and Asking Alexandria on January 4th.
