The promoters of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem tour have posted the following message:
"Due to Northern California wild-fires, July 11th (Sacramento) Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival Performance Rescheduled to Monday July 14th
"Concerned for the health and safety of our patrons, performers and employees, Live Nation announces a date change for Sacramento's scheduled Rockstar Energy Mayhem festival at The Sleep Train Amphitheater. The air quality and temperature are expected to improve by end of weekend, allowing for the event to be moved to Monday, July 14th and show time will remain 1:30pm. Tickets purchased for Friday, July 11th will be honored.
"As we enter the second week of wild fires, and the recent 100+ degree temperatures, it is in the best interest of all involved that the tour date be rescheduled as conditions are expected to improve over the weekend. A variety of city and county officials have urged area residents to avoid long-term exposure to the outdoors and limit outdoor recreational activities."
"We sincerely regret this unavoidable cancellation and apologize to fans for any disappointment caused," says tour co-founder John Reese. "And while we're thankful that the show can take place on Monday, our thoughts are with the families in this area during this difficult time. Refunds will be available at original point of purchase." One of the extreme metal genre’s most talked about new bands, SUICIDE SILENCE, will kick off a massive co-headlining North American trek with NILE early next month. The month-long tour, which starts on March 8th, also features THE FACELESS and WARBRINGER in the support slots. This will lead Suicide Silence into a run on the summer’s Rockstar Energy Mayhem tour alongside SLIPKNOT, DISTURBED and MACHINE HEAD, among a slew of others. Be sure to visit www.myspace.com/suicidesilence to view their complete touring schedule.
Mitch Lucker (vocals) states: “We’ve hardly had a chance to breathe since The Cleansing was released this past September. Our last minute addition to the Behemoth tour in Europe this month was amazing and we’re equally enthused about the Nile U.S. tour right around the corner. At the same time, we’ve just launched a 2nd music video from the record; this one for the track, ‘Bludgeoned to Death.’ After MTV banned the first video, we’ve decided to give it another go without really sacrificing any creativity or intensity. Hopefully, we’ll get lucky and people will actually air this one somewhere. Either way, this onslaught of touring never seems to end and we’re looking forward to every bit of it leading into this summer’s Rockstar Energy Mayhem tour. Come out to a show and hangout!”
NILE have been forced to cancel their upcoming February 20th show in Santiago, Chile. They have issued the following statement:
"The promoter has, at the last minute, refused to pay the band as agreed. The band is VERY disappointed, and if there was ANY way to still put on the show, I assure you they would do it! It's just not possible for them to fly the whole band and their gear to and from Chile, play the show and handle all living expenses out of their personal bank accounts. We hope the opportunity comes again for Nile to play in Chile, as they were very excited about this show. Please understand that if there was any way for Nile to still do this show they would do it in a heartbeat. We all sincerely apologize to the fans who have patiently waited for Nile to come to their country." More...

Century Media Records Germany reports:
SUICIDE SILENCE has just secured the direct support slot on the upcoming BEHEMOTH tour in February before they will come back with PARKWAY DRIVE and BURY YOUR DEAD in April/May.
Those diverse packages already show that Suicide Silence adheres to no preconceived notions and refuses to be pigeonholed into any specific genre. Their music clearly represents their many influences, incorporating a savage mix of death metal, grindcore, black metal, hardcore and doom elements into each track. The songs are dynamic and crushing, shifting effortlessly from insane grind chaos into surgically precise, disorienting time signatures topped off with snail-paced grooves and destructive breakdowns. Check out songs from The Cleansing at: http://www.myspace.com/suicidesilence
Suicide Silence’s album The Cleansing will finally hit Europe on February 18th and the UK on March 31st. It will come with the exclusive European bonus track 'A Dead Current' as well as a CD enhancement offering 6 live clips from US and UK.

SUICIDE SILENCE joined up with acclaimed director David Brodsky (GWAR, THE RED CHORD) this past weekend to shoot a new video for the track "Bludgeoned To Death". The clip is set to capture the band’s unrelenting, frenetic stage energy and look for a special making of the video to be released online in the coming weeks.
SUICIDE SILENCE just kicked off the Hot Topic-sponsored "The Dawn of Destruction" tour, which is a massive headlining U.S. run that is not to be missed. Joining them on this trek are A LIFE ONCE LOST, WALLS OF JERICHO and THE AGONY SCENE. This massive North American assault features a devastating lineup from top to bottom and this fan-friendly, affordably-priced tour is easily going to be one of the most talked about packages going out this fall.
Mark Heylmun (guitars) states: "We just kicked off a headlining run with A LIFE ONCE LOST, WALLS OF JERICHO and THE AGONY SCENE, which we've been excited about for awhile. We're stoked these awesome bands are out with us and hope all the freaks, geeks and headbangers will come party with us. We’re gonna be adding some new shit to the set as well, so come check it out! We also just shot a video for 'Bludgeoned To Death' in Brooklyn with David Brodsky, which was grueling but cool. Since we can't get gnarly in our videos without people saying its too violent or gruesome Dave managed to tame it down a bit while still getting the best out of us. We rocked as hard as we could for a good portion of that day in a dusty basement and I can't wait to see how it turns out. Keep it real and hopefully we will see you soon."
HeavyMetalSource.com conducted an interview with SUICIDE SILENCE vocalist Mitch Lucker and guitarist Mark Heylmun on October 28, 2007 in New Haven, Connecticut. Watch the nine-minute clip below.
