Duff McKagen Joins Guns N Roses On Stage
Former Guns N Roses bassist and current frontman of Loaded, Duff McKagen rejoined his old band last night at London's 02 Arena. McKagen performed with Guns N Roses for the first time since 1993 and played four songs with the group, including the Bob Dylan classic, "Knockin' On Heaven's Door," the Rose Tattoo staple, "Nice Boys" and the Guns N Roses hits "You Could Be Mine" and "Patience."
Lead singer Axl Rose claims that the guest appearance occured by chance as the two happened to be sharing the same hotel. He stated: "There was this guy at the end of my hallway playing all this loud music and shit. What the fuck? Oh – it's Duff!"

The Rockstar Ramblings: Horror Movie Edition
Recently, Slash (Velvet Revolver, ex-Guns N Roses) was discussing Alice Cooper, mentioning he believes Cooper is the most dramatic and the best at on-stage horror theatrics. Thanks Slash, I guess that’s the least you can say considering you stole his top hat shtick … More...

The Rockstar Ramblings: Dr. Ozzy Strikes Again
In a recent interview with Classic Rock magazine, Slash (Velvet Revolver, ex-Guns N Roses) says that he considered Axl Rose (Guns N Roses) as one of the singers for his recent solo project, explaining that Rose would be able to sing the shit out of all of his songs. I also believe this would give the two an opportunity to bond; each day calling Steven Adler (Adler’s Appetite, ex-Guns N Roses) and ask if he wants to get the band together then yelling “psyche!” Then hanging up the phone… More...
Slash To Produce Horror Films
Slash has announced that he, in association with Scout Productions (of films Transsiberian and Fog Of War) has started his own production company called Slasher Films. Their first project, Nothing To Fear, is already underway. The horror/thriller will follow a family as it looks for a big change by moving to a small town in rural Kansas only to encounter an ancient demon with an insatiable blood lust. The screenplay was written by Jonathan W.C. Mills.
Slasher Films plans to produce contemporary horror films with a nod to the thrillers of the 70's and 80's. "I've always been a huge horror fan and creating films that take you back to the days where horror movies actually scared the hell out of you is something I've always wanted to do. My audience is made up of young, edgy, discerning consumers, with an appetite for quality and a hint of anarchy," explains Slash.

The Rockstar Ramblings: The Motley Wire plus more
Axl Rose (Guns N Roses) during his recent tour fired his entire road crew for allowing him to nap during the time he was suppose to go on stage. The tricky part to this is that Rose has strict instructions to not wake him under ANY circumstances. The crew was eventually rehired, but led to this job wanted advertisement...WANTED: Person with telepathic powers and an acute sense of time; need to be able to communicate to another person through their dreams without knowing they are being awakened; NOTE: supervisor unstable… More...
Guns N Roses Has Plug Pulled During Reading Set
American hard rock veterans Guns N Roses were forced to leave the stage last night at the Reading festival, after they continued to play after their curfew, even though they had negotiated an extra thirty minutes to their set. The band is still scheduled to perform at Reading's sister festival Leeds, even though frontman Axl Rose said they wouldn't on stage at Reading. A message from festival chief Melvin Benn reads:
Festival chief Melvin Benn said: "After failing to take to the stage at the scheduled 9.30pm (BST) time, the performance started at 10.30pm and the band were given permission by the festival to play 30 minutes extra to its scheduled 11.30pm finish until midnight."
He added: "Guns N' Roses wanted to 'extend' the new agreed curfew past midnight but were prevented from doing so in order to comply with the entertainment licence issued by Reading Borough Council."

The Rockstar Ramblings: Hacked Twitter Accounts
A couple weeks ago someone (presumably with a great sense of humor) hacked into Axl Rose’s account and sent out a Tweet saying all the European shows were cancelled. Rose’s people quickly responded, noting that this was not true (despite this sounding EXACTLY like something Axl would do).
Lucky for us we were able to find a few other (alleged) Tweets sent out via (allegedly) hacked Twitter accounts. Enjoy… More...
Guns N Roses Given Warning By Reading Boss
The owner of the Reading and Leeds Festival has announced that should Guns N Roses take to the stage late this year, he will simply pull the plug on their performance. In 2002 the band went on stage late at the Leeds festival, which led to some trouble from loacal authorities.
"If Guns N' Roses decide to take to stage as late as they did in Leeds some years ago then the performance just won't happen," said Melvin Benn. "I've had a very heavy warning from the local councils. There is a curfew - it's a very strict curfew."

The Rockstar Ramblings: The Judges
Steven Tyler (Aerosmith) announced this week that if a judge on American Idol he would be honest. Speaking of honesty, Joe Perry spoke this week about the secret of Tyler becoming a judge, saying he was not happy with the situation and hurt Steven didn’t let the band know. So, if I understand correctly, it is okay to lie to your band mates regarding drug use, just not over reality television? Actually, I’m not even sure what side I’m on anymore, nor does it matter because we all know the true losers in this scenario are: Bret Michaels and Gene Simmons (he had to try and get this, right?) for losing out to Steven Tyler… More...

The Rockstar Ramblings: The 80’s Album Razor Test
This week I give you my top albums from the eighties hair bands. Essentially a top twenty-five list, with a twist; imagine all of the albums from the eighties disappeared and you could no longer listen to this genre ever again, similar to 1992, but permanent. Unable to own the music, hear the music on the radio, or even listen to a song at a bar…what would you do to change this? Allow me to present the razor blade test. How many times will you cut yourself to bring a particular album back to your life? More...

The Rockstar Ramblings: The Rumor Mill
Bret Michaels (Poison) is currently in discussions with Executives of American Idol over potentially being a judge for next year’s season. Even for FOX this is a little obvious, why not mix it up and throw Steven Adler (Adler’s Appetite, ex-Guns N Roses) in the mix, sitting next to Ellen (every five minutes whispering in her ear “I like lesbians”). Actually, why not really go for broke and have Adler, soft-spoken Slash (Velvet Revolver, ex-Guns N Roses), and Ozzy Osbourne as the judges, no one will understand a word which would be a welcomed change. Of course, we keep on Ellen because, well, we do like lesbians… More...

The Rockstar Ramblings: Books NOT Coming Soon

“Growing Old Gracefully, The Sebastian Bach Story”
Bach walks us through a child hood not full of rock star dreams, but dreams of reality television, specifically weight loss television shows. “I remember when I was five, I remember thinking, man I can’t weight to put on a few extra pounds and then show the world I can lose half the extra weight I gained.” If I had to describe the book in one word, it would have to be DEEP… More...

The Rockstar Ramblings: Heroic Bad Ass Moments
