Laethora Streaming New Song

Swedish death metal band Laethora, which features Dark Tranquility guitarist Niklas Sundin, has issued the following update about streaming a new song online from their upcoming second album:

"Hi all, the wait has been long, but we're finally getting closer to unleashing our second magnum opus 'The light in which we all burn.' The release date is set to May 11, but you can already now pre-order the limited edition CD & t- shirt bundle through the Omega order. The shirt design is exclusive and won't be for sale anywhere else. In addition to the already published 'Humanae,' the track 'A.S.K.E.' is now uploaded to our MySpace page.

"Mastered by Peter In de Betou, 'The Light In Which We All Burn' is an epic thirteen-track album taking into account all of the members' eclectic tastes in music, featuring violent and powerful death/grind metal performed with intense passion and ferocity. From the opening calm-before-the-storm beginning of 'Ekpyrosis' to the thrashing rage of 'World Deluge' and the open-chord ecstasy of 'Humanae,' the album truly shines in its diversity and dedication. The instrumentation is flawlessly executed with an organic and vibrant approach far from today's sterile extreme metal delivery."

"The Light In Which We All Burn" track listing is as follows::

1. Ekpyrosis
2. I as Infernal
3. A.S.K.E
4. World Deluge
5. A New Day
6. Humanae
7. The Sightless
8. Saevio
9. Uproar

Laethora Streaming New Song "Humanae"

Swedish death metal band Laethora, which features Dark Tranquility guitarist Niklas Sundin and members of The Provenance, will release their second album "The Light In Which We All Burn" worldwide through The End Records on April 27th, 2010. A new song from the album titled “Humanae” is currently streaming on the band’s MySpace page. Sundin comments on the track:

"Humanae is one of the more eclectic songs from the album, and it's a good representation of what we wanted to achieve. Elements from different extreme metal subgenres are blended with more progressive chord progressions, all topped off with an epic ending part that still sends shivers through our spines. Hope you'll like it, and stay tuned for more updates as the release date draws closer."

Laethora has issued the following update about the recording of their new album:

"After a lot of hard work and a seemingly endless stream of ghosts in the machinery, the Laethora collective is pleased to announce that our second album, 'The light in which we all burn', is finally finished.

"Despite the computer crashes, equipment failures and multiple bouts of sickness, we're extremely satisfied with the end result. Laethora Completes Recording Second Album

LAETHORA, the Swedish death/grind band featuring DARK TRANQUILLITY guitarist Niklas Sundin, has finished recording its second album, "The Light In Which We All Burn." The album will be ready for a late spring/early summer release.

LAETHORA comments , "Some previous statements have included information about Roberto Laghi, whom we've previously worked with, and that he would be doing the mixing of the album. This will not be the case. Due to illness and other unfortunate events delaying the recording process, we made the decision to do the mixing ourselves. Both Roberto and we were a bit sad that we couldn't work together again, but sometimes one cannot foresee life's odd interventions. To say the least, this recording process has been more than strenuous, but as they say; when the going gets tough, the tough get going..." More...

Laethora Issues Recording Update

Swedish aggressive melodic metallers LAETHORA have offered an update from the studio:

"We're five days into the recordings at Sonores Studio and the drums are completed! Joel did a fantastic job violating the skins with relentless intensity and precision, and everything sounds very promising already at this early stage. Now it's time to move the project to our old (but re-located) abode Gesperrt Studios to lay down the guitars, bass and vocals.

"We're leaning towards calling the album 'The Light in Which We All Burn,' but as with all tentative titles, it might change in due time. More updates are coming soon. In the meantime, check this little video report out."

Laethora Set Release Date

THE END RECORDS has set a February 20th, 2007 U.S. release date for their debut album from Sweden’s LAETHORA titled "March of the Parasite." The album, which features guitarist Niklas Sundin from Dark Tranquillity and members of The Provenance (Joakim Rosen, bassist Jonnie Tall and drummer Joel Lindell), is firmly rooted in the death/grind tradition, yet challenging and innovative. In a recent interview with MTV.COM about the debut, Sundin described the album as "extreme and in-your-face, but organic rather than clinical-sounding."

In other news, Sundin notes: “Things are going fine in the Laethora camp. As soon as all the paperwork is done, we'll announce a record label for the European territory. In addition, we’re hard at work writing songs for the follow-up to March of the Parasite as well as planning for the first couple of live shows. More news to follow in the near future!”

The song “Black Void Remembrance” off the forthcoming debut is now available for streaming at the official The End Records' MySpace page.
