Cellador Post "In My Hands" Demo Online
Nebraska-based power metallers CELLADOR have posted the third (and one of the last) clip of a demo song on their MySpace page. This time, the chosen track is called "In My Hands" and features only the solo section. "In My Hands" is expected to appear on the band's next album, which will be recorded between November and December in Tampa, Florida with producer Erik Rutan (MORBID ANGEL, HATE ETERNAL) and mixed by Jason Suecof (TRIVIUM, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, DEVILDRIVER, BURY YOUR DEAD).
Guitarist Bill Hudson says: "We're finally realizing what we heard from our idols since forever: That fans always get weirded out by the slightest change. Because of that, we decided to upload the solo section of one of the fastest tracks will have in this album. This is the CELLADOR you're all used to, only a step higher, at least in our opinion. So far, we have shown 'Follow Me', which is basically a straight-up power metal song, 'King of Your Illusion', which is our first midtempo ever and now 'In My Hands', to show you all that we're still the same band! This track is fast, it has shredding, it will blow your minds! Again, it'll be online for a limited period of time, and it will be the last track for a while! We might upload one more before we go to the studio in November, but that will take some time."
CELLADOR's "Enter Deception" album was released in June 2006 via Metal Blade. The CD was recorded at Mana Studios in Tampa, Florida with producer Erik Rutan.
Cellador Post Another New Demo Track Online
Nebraska-based power metallers CELLADOR have posted a demo version of another new track on their MySpace page. The song, "King of Your Illusion", is expected to appear on the band's next album, which will be recorded between November and December in Tampa, Florida with producer Erik Rutan (MORBID ANGEL, HATE ETERNAL) and mixed by Jason Suecof (TRIVIUM, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, DEVILDRIVER, BURY YOUR DEAD).
Commented singer Michael Gremio: "Differently than 'Follow Me' [the other new song that was recently released], this track sounds nothing like [CELLADOR's debut album] 'Enter Deception'. It's the first time we wrote a midtempo song, and the vocal and guitar work are different that what we usually do. That's part of the variety we've been talking about for the next record. We're very satisfied with this song and really want all of you to hear it".

Necro Leaves Sounds Of The Underground Tour
Self proclaimed "death rap" artist Necro has issued the follwing statement from his official Myspace:
"I decided to leave the tour collectively with my manager and booking agent (both tour organizers) because we felt the tour’s demographic was not receiving hip hop well. I was facing hostile, disrespectful crowds and was returning the same energy back ten-fold by being more aggressive than them.
It was making a lot of people in the tour crew nervous and there was concern someone might get hurt (NOT ME). It was also being suggested that maybe I tone down my live show and not antagonize the already antagonistic crowd. I couldn’t roll with that as it’s not my style. I was holding back enough as it is but there is a line. All the bands on the tour loved us and everyone behind the scenes knew we displayed major heart and never once got phased by the hostility. We finished every show with middle fingers up and a big "Fuck You" to the crowd.
I will make one thing clear for the haters: we NEVER got booed OFF the stage. Not once. Yes a ton of emo kids booed us at every show, but we had a twenty-five minute set every night and we stayed on stage for every minute of it, and we represented. Every show had at least 100 to 200 Necro fans in the pit tearing it up, and our meet and greets were incredible!
It’s just a shame these little kids are so close-minded. The majority of the hate was coming from mop top emo sixteen-year olds who have no clue who the originators of metal are, and didn’t respect my rest in peace chant to metal legends (Dime, Cliff, Chuck, Piggy, SOB).
As far as the tour organizers and I are concerned, you are my people so it’s all love and I’m thankful for the opportunity to prove I can murder it in the worst of situations. This actually did a lot for me and is just one move in many my team will make to blow Necro up"

Cellador Enter Pre-Production
Omaha, Nebraska power metallers CELLADOR are currently in their home studio doing the pre-production for their upcoming album, which should come out early 2008.
Guitarist Bill Hudson and newly acquired bassist Mika Horiuchi have recorded a short video where they talk about the next album, and play a small section of one of the songs. The clip can be seen here.
CELLADOR's "Enter Deception" album was released in June 2006 via Metal Blade. The CD was recorded at Mana Studios in Tampa, Florida with producer Erik Rutan (MORBID ANGEL, HATE ETERNAL). More...
Cellador Announce New Bass Player
After filling in for the band's shows for the last two months, 21-year-old Mika Horiuchi has been officially named CELLADOR's new bass player.
Comments guitarist Chris Petersen: "After holding auditions for three months we realized Mika was the best person for the band. He showed the most devotion and commitment, having learned all our songs in less than a week, and dropped all his personal commitments at the time to come on tour with us during the month of February. The dude is an insane bass shredder, but also knows how to carry a song well rather than wanking all over the place. It's the perfect combination we were looking for, and the perfect fit for us in CELLADOR. We look forward to showing everyone just how good he is."
Originally from Seattle, Mika previously played in the Washington-based melodic death metal band NETHERELM. More...
Cellador Part Ways With Drummer
Nebraska-based extreme power metallers CELLADOR have parted ways with drummer David Dahir.
Commented guitarist Bill Hudson: "It's been less than four months since we parted ways with our bass player, and we're happy to inform you that we have found a replacement. His name will be announced soon, but I can assure that some of you already know who he is. He's definitely the best choice we could have made, and you'll all be very impressed with him. But unfortunately, I have to — once again — announce that CELLADOR is currently no longer working with drummer and very good friend David Dahir. He has always been more into death metal and more brutal styles of music, and even more recently has began to further venture into the realm of extreme music. In the last few months Dave has become more interested in these styles and because of this everyone involved thought it would be good if we tried different things. Maybe we'll work together again in the future. Who knows? Dave is very talented and young, and we'll be happy to help him in anyway we possibly can. We're sure you'll hear about his other musical projects very soon. More...

No shows will be cancelled, and we are already holding auditions in order to find a replacement. We'll have a temporary fill in for the upcoming dates, which will include a show with UNEARTH in our hometown followed by a two-week tour supporting ALL THAT REMAINS, which will begin on February 10. Cellador On Upcoming Trivium Tour
Omaha Power-metallers are proud to announce their addition to the east coast dates of the Trivium U.S. tour!
Cellador guitarist Chris Petersen comments, "We are proud to announce that we have been invited for a swing of East Coast and Canada dates with metal masters Trivium running from the 1st of October through to the 9th. It's an honor and privilege to share the stage with one of the young purveyors of today's modern American metal revitalization, and it is a pleasure to be joining them for the starting leg of their first ever North American headlining tour. We are looking forward to heading back out to the East Coast, where we met some of our most devoted friends and fans during our recently completed summer US tour. The support and energy we felt and received was far beyond anything we could have imagined for our band this early on in our careers, and thus we anxiously await heading back out on the road to meet all our new friends again as well as all the new ones we hope to make as well. We have had many emails and messages from fans and friends in Canada who have been waiting to see us, and we are excited to finally be able to come out and perform for all of you. We have a new variety of merch that will be available exclusively on this tour, so be to stop by our booth and have yourself a look (we're always over there anyway). See you guys soon!"

Column
This Week In Metal - August 10th, 2006
Welcome to the return of This Week In Metal, a column I used to do before I was forced to take a hiatus from metalunderground.com. In this weekly column, we will update the top 10 selling albums in the metal industry (courtesy of CMJ) and the top 10 radio singles (pulled from Music Match). They use a number of sources for the list, including all satellite radio. While you may find a few bands that are too soft for the list, I assure you there will be more then enough surprises. Feel free to comment on the list and who you think is over/under-rated, what bands you expected to see and which ones you didn't. Again this column will run weekly, so be sure to check for it every Thursday in the columns area of MetalUnderground.com.
Now for the music, we will start each week with the albums. It's a good mix of what bands are bursting the underground, and some bands that have been killing for quite a while now.
| Rank | Band | Album | Weeks | Peak |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Shadows Fall | Fallout From The War | 1 | 1 |
| 2 | SYL | The New Black | 1 | 2 |
| 3 | All That Remains | The Fall Of Ideas | 1 | 3 |
| 4 | Dragonforce | Inhuman Range | 1 | 4 |
| 5 | Cattle Decapitation | Karma.Bloody.Karma | 1 | 5 |
| 6 | Stone Sour | Come What(ever) May | 1 | 6 |
| 7 | BTBAM | The Anatomy Of | 1 | 7 |
| 8 | Cellador | Enter Deception | 1 | 8 |
| 9 | The Acacia Strain | Dead Walk | 1 | 9 |
| 10 | Bury Your Dead | Beauty And The Breakdown | 1 | 10 |
Now for the tunes. These singles are a real who's who amongst metal right now. I find the list to be powerful and only really have one flaw. Keep in mind some songs have been out longer then others and have picked up a good fanbase on the radio, other songs have just come out and are sure to see their time at the top.
| Rank | Band | Song | Weeks | Peak |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Shadows Fall | Will To Rebuild | 1 | 1 |
| 2 | Stone Sour | 3030/150 | 1 | 2 |
| 3 | Lamb of God | Redneck | 1 | 3 |
| 4 | BTBAM | Malpractice | 1 | 4 |
| 5 | All That Remains | This Calling | 1 | 5 |
| 6 | Slayer | Cult | 1 | 6 |
| 7 | Threat Signal | Rational Eyes | 1 | 7 |
| 8 | Celtic Frost | Ground. | 1 | 8 |
| 9 | Black Label Society | Concrete Jungle | 1 | 9 |
| 10 | Hatebreed | Defeatist | 1 | 10 |
