Nicodemus Announce UK Tour Dates

Portland based progressive metallers, NICODEMUS, are very pleased to announce that they will tour the UK for the first time in their career this July. Support act for dates will be Manchester, England based goth metal band LIQUID SKY. Confirmed dates are as follows:

More dates will be announced as they are confirmed. Band leader, Christopher Morris, is thrilled that the band will finally tour overseas. "It feels great to finally get the opportunity to tour England and to do it along side a great band like Liquid Sky. We have had tremendous support from our British fans since our debut album almost 6 years ago. To play for them now, as well as gain exposure to new fans, is a dream come true for us. Being British myself, there is also a great sense of pride in this homecoming."

As previously reported, Nicodemus recently unveiled the web premiere of their new long form conceptual video for the track "Next In Nocturne". The video is now available at the band's site or at their MySpace page. Nicodemus released their third album titled "Vanity Is A Virtue" through the Greek based Sonic Age Records in June of 2005. The album, which received a review 5/5 review and was deemed a "masterpiece" by Gothic Beauty Magazine, decidedly owes more to the progressive sound than previous Nicodemus releases, 2000's "Tales of the Lovelorn and Necromantic"(Dark Throne Music) and 2003's "The Supernatural Omnibus" (Dark Symphonies), which saw the band focusing on a goth/black metal based sound with progressive elements.

Nicodemus Web Premeire of Next In Nocturne" Video

Portland based progressive metallers, NICODEMUS, have unveiled the web premiere of their new long form conceptual video for the track “Next In Nocturne”. The video is now available at the bands’ site, or on their MySpace page. “Next In Nocturne” is from their current release, “Vanity Is A Virtue”. The video was directed by Joni DeRouchie, a Northwest based independent filmmaker who has worked on projects such as “Remote Control” and “Bigger Than Jesus”. DeRouchie is a critically acclaimed director whose previous work has been selected for prestigious international film festivals.

The concept for the video is gothic noir mixed with performance footage and features a large cast of actors, actresses, and extras including a cameo by published gothic novelist, Jemiah Jefferson, whose works include “Voice of the Blood”, “Wounds”, and “Fiend”.

As previously reported, Nicodemus released their third album titled “Vanity Is A Virtue” through the Greek based Sonic Age Records in June of 2005. The album decidedly owes more to the progressive sound than previous Nicodemus releases, 2000’s “Tales of the Lovelorn and Necromantic”(Dark Throne Music) and 2003’s “The Supernatural Omnibus” (Dark Symphonies), which saw the band focusing on a goth/black metal based sound with progressive elements.

Nicodemus Wrap Up Filming "Next In Nocturne" Video

Portland based progressive metallers, NICODEMUS, have wrapped up the filming of a long form conceptual video for the track "Next In Nocturne" from their current release, "Vanity Is A Virtue" (Sonic Age Records). DeRouchie is a critically acclaimed director whose previous work has been selected for prestigious international film festivals. Nicodemus Add Keyboardist and Guitarist

Portland based progressive metallers, NICODEMUS, have secured two new permanent members in keyboardist, Erik Scholibo, and guitarist, Chris Finster. Up until the recent addition of Scholibo, all keyboards had been handled by bassist/vocalist/band leader, Christopher Morris. Finster, however, replaced previous guitarist, Matthew McGee, who had played on the band's last two releases.

Scholibo had previously filled in on keyboards for Nicodemus during a few 2003 tour dates, and had also acted as the band's session photographer in 2004. Scholibo is the owner of Geomana Studios in Portland where the band recorded their recent release, "Vanity Is A Virtue".

Prior to joining Nicodemus, Finster was the bands' engineer and co-producer for "Vanity Is A Virtue", and he had also contributed some guitar and vocals to the album. Finster is a producer and engineer at Geomana Studios, and in addition to his role in Nicodemus, plays with Scholibo in an experimental metal band named Garuda's Mission.

Nicodemus To Film Video For “Next In Nocturne”

Portland based progressive metallers, NICODEMUS, will be filming a long form conceptual video for the track "Next In Nocturne" from their current release, "Vanity Is A Virtue" (Sonic Age Records). Pre-production for the video has already begun and casting will commence in January. The video has an expected completion in early March 2006.

Nicodemus Seek Keyboard Player

Portland-based goth metallers NICODEMUS are seeking a full-time keyboard player for recording and touring. Keyboards on the band's previous albums had been handled by vocalist/bassist Christopher Morris. The group have decided to enlist the talents of a full-time keyboard player for future releases and tours. Nicodemus Part Ways With Guitarist

Portland-based goth metallers NICODEMUS have parted ways with longtime lead guitarist Matthew McGee. According to a press release, "He leaves the group under great terms and remains a friend to the band. The band wishes him only the best in his future efforts.
