Obituary Parts Ways With Longtime Bassist
In a recent interview with Tomb Of The Opinionated, Obituary singer John Tardy confirmed the rumour that the band has parted ways with bass player Frank Watkins, who has been performing with the latest incarnation of Gorgoroth.
Tardy states: "Frank is no longer in the band and Terry Butler (Six Feet Under) will be doing all the shows that he can with us. Right now we are happy with that and if Terry’s schedule does not allow him to play with us we can always lean on Stever DiGiorgio (Sadus) or Kenny Andrews."
He also gave an update on the band's next studio album, which will be the first to be recorded without Watkins since 1989's, "Slowly We Rot.": "We have been doing so much traveling that is has been hard to get much done but, we have managed to get some songs started. We now have some time set aside to get some writing done so we will know more in the next couple of months. We are in no hurry and are going to take our time and enjoy the writing and recording process!"

As of now, we aim at doing this as the second out of three in total.
