The Amenta Streaming Full Album
Australia's most mercurial extreme metal band The Amenta has joined forces with Terrorizer Magazine to stream the forthcoming "Flesh is Heir" in its entirety. The band commented on the album:
"'Flesh is Heir' is how we believe extreme music should sound. We made it for us, without thought of how it will be received. We believe that this is the best album you will hear in 2013. We know it will be the best we will hear."
Flesh is Heir full album stream can be accessed by going here. The band recently released a video for the song "Teeth." View the madness below.
The Amenta Announces New Releases
The Amenta is proud to announce the release of “V01D/CHOKE HOLD” through Listenable Records. Combining the full 16 track digital release “V01D," with the title track and cover of Godflesh’s "Christbait Rising" from the “Chokehold” E. (released in 2012 on Itunes by Listenable Records), this is the first physical release of all these recordings.
Both were released as placeholders before the 2013 release of the new album by The Amenta, “Flesh is Heir,” and show two completely different sides of the band. Listenable comments:
"V01D is an epic, melodic hymn which is worlds away from the angular dissonance of previous The Amenta releases. It leaves your so-called black metal for dead. Choke Hold is a dirty, violent re-imagining of Godflesh’s sound circa Streetcleaner. The lyrics are a blues because repetition is the only way through your skull.
"V01D/CHOKE HOLD will be available exclusively from The Amenta on the upcoming European tour with Obituary, Macabre and Psycroptic as well as from the Listenable Records store here. This is an extremely limited pressing. The Amenta will release their new album on March 25th." More...

Beyond Terror Beyond Grace Readies New Album
NSW-based grind/death metal band Beyond Terror Beyond Grace will release their latest album, “Our Ashes Built Mountains,” on February 4, 2010. The band has just uploaded two tracks off the album. Check out “Husk” and “Flightless” at the band's MySpace page.
The album features a number of guests including Jasion Peppiatt (Psycroptic), Jarrod Krafcyk (ex The Amenta), Alex Pope (Ruins), Blake Wilson (Gallows for Grace), Anno Vo (Crux) as well as soundscapes by Tim Pope from The Amenta. The album art was by Colin Marks who has worked for Aborted, Strapping Young Lad, Whitechapel etc.
The band commented: “We are beyond happy with the results, and we feel that to say that this CD is an enormous step up musically, in production, lyrically and conceptually from the last album is a bit of an understatement. We have really made an effort to craft a complete album rather than just throwing a bunch of songs together – there are lyrical concepts, samples, ideas and motifs that thematically link throughout the whole CD. We are very much looking forward to getting it out there.”
International tour dates and label announcements are still to come.
