Turkish metal band Neverland has posted their new music video for the song "This Voice Inside." The track comes off their new album "Ophidia." The video was directed by the Turkish director Sila Unlu. The shootings of "This Voice Inside" took place in Ankara. According to the band, "We spent three days (actually days and nights) for the shootings and two days of it were three floors down underground."
"'This Voice Inside' is about the main character of 'The Wheel of Time' series, 'Rand Al'Thor.' It mainly speaks of Rand’s unwilling turn into a anti-hero type while constantly trying to battle with the voices inside his head."

The 2009 European Prog Power festival will take place from October 2nd - 4th at JC Sjiwa in Baarlo, The Netherlands. The currently confirmed bands for the festival are as follows:
The official ProgPower Europe 2009 website has been updated with the following announcement about confirming Neverland:
"We are proud to confirm the first Turkish act ever for ProgPower Europe, NEVERLAND. This band is the co-operation between the band Dreamtone and the female singer Iris Mavraki. Their debut album “Reversing Time” was a huge succes, a second album will be recorded now and released later this year through AFM Records."
The festival will take place between October 2 - 4 at JC Sjiwa in Baarlo, the Netherlands.
As previously reported, BLIND GUARDIAN frontman Hansi Kürsch appears on the NEVERLAND debut album, "Reversing Time", on the track 'To Lose The Sun'. He has issued the following statement:
"I suppose some of you have already noticed my appearance on the upcoming Neverland album Reversing Time, which is going to be released by AFM Records on February 29th. Neverland is an interesting project by our Turkish friends DREAMTONE and the great Greek vocalist Iris Mavraki. So it is no surprise, that on the album there is some great stuff to discover. NEVERLAND, the collaboration between Turkey's progressive power metal band DREAMTONE and Greek artist Iris Mavraki, has inked a deal with Germany's AFM Records. The band’s debut CD, "Reversing Time" — which features guest appearances by Hansi Kürsch (BLIND GUARDIAN), Tom Englund (EVERGREY), Mike Baker (SHADOW GALLERY) and Gary Wehrkamp (SHADOW GALLERY) — is scheduled for release at the end of February.
Iris and DREAMTONE recorded a total of 12 tracks at ATM Studios in Istanbul with Erim Arkman and Alp Turac (who won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2003 with singer Sertab Erener for the song "Every Way That I Can"). The Philarmonia Istanbul Orchestra recorded at MIAM Studios in Istanbul with conductor Hakan Sensoy. Ethnic instruments and sax parts were recorded at Mars Studios in Ankara. The mixing sessions for "Reversing Time" took place at Division One Studios (EVERGREY, HAMMERFALL, IN FLAMES) in Gothenburg, Sweden. The mastering was handled by senior mastering engineer Leon Zervos (AVRIL LAVIGNE, SANTANA, INXS, SKID ROW, DURAN DURAN, AEROSMITH) at Sterling Sound in New York. The cover artwork was created by French artist Jean Pascal Fournier, who has previously worked with EDGUY and AVANTASIA, among others. More...
German power metallers STORMHAMMER have announced the addition of former NEVERLAND/DREAMSCAPE frontman Mike Zotter to the group's ranks. Zotter fills the slot left vacant by the departure of Tommy Lion (ex-DRIFTER) earlier in the year.
STORMHAMMER released their third album, "Lord of Darkness", in May 2004 via Mausoleum Records.
