Delian League Announces Name Change and New Lineup

Delian League issue the following update on their MySpace page:

New Jersey-based metal band DELIAN LEAGUE has announced that it has changed its identity for the group's upcoming EP, "Before The Body Gets Cold", and will henceforth be known as THE NEW AFFLICTION. The EP features five brand-new songs. Three tracks from "Before The Body Gets Cold" will be available on their official MySpace page.

Drummer Joe Dooling commented on the upcoming changes: "We're all very excited to get this music out there. People have been waiting a long time for new music from us, and we're glad to be able to deliver it, along with a new name and new members to the lineup. Our singer and guitarist have contributed a lot, and what we've got now is very different from the DELIAN LEAGUE sound. It just makes more sense for all of us to look at this as an entirely different band rather than 'DELIAN LEAGUE Part Two.'” More...

Delian League Issue Studio Update

Delian League issue the follow update from the studio on their Myspace page:

"Hey everyone,"

"This is Joe from the studio with an update on our demo recording. The guitar tracks are taking a long time which we expected and anyone who has done recording like this knows how much work it is. The bad news is that there is still a lot of work left but the good news is that everything so far is sounding way better than our expectations. We are very proud of these tracks and this will start a whole new era for the band."

"Shane is about to begin recording his bass tracks at another location during our guitar recording to save time....then vocals...then mixing. Other than that we have some big news to go along with the demo release so sit tight and we'll have our songs up as soon as possible."

Delian League Post Update and Song Online

Delian League have posted the song "Lost in Sin" from their 2005 debut album entitled "Truth in Chaos" on their Myspace page.

In addition the band has provided the following update:

"We've been getting a lot of questions about what's been going on with the band so its time to update everybody.

We took a small hiatus last year while Shane (bassist) & Joe (drummer) got busy with their other bands. That extra time was needed for everyone and we wound up making our practice studio a million times better plus it gave us some room for big life changes.

Later towards the end of 2006 we started back up with our regular practice schedule to get our momentum back and began writing new material for our next album. Eight songs are completed and we're going to continue to write more until we have around fifteen tracks. Then we'll record the best ten. There's still a lot of work to be done but in the meantime we threw up another track, Lost in Sin, on our page and we'll check in more often to let everyone know what we're up to.

Thanks to all of you who have supported us so much and we're confident that these new songs are WAY better than anything we have on our debut album, Truth in Chaos."

Delian League Release Debut and Split with Label

The debut album, Truth In Chaos, by New Jersey’s DELIAN LEAGUE has been released independently by the band following a split with Screaming Ferret Wreckords of New Hampshire.

Citing unforeseen circumstances, the label and band made a decision to part in early September, just weeks prior to the planned release date of Truth In Chaos. Without hesitation, the band requested return of the sound masters and proceeded to manufacture a limited run of full-length, fully packaged CDs. The CDs are now available for purchase via www.delianleague.com and are also being used to promote the release to the media and shop to labels for a new contract.

The album was recorded between December 2004 and May 2005 at various locations in New Jersey. Engineering was handled by Detlef Brockmann at Music-Plant, Germany, and Erik Kvortek of Trax East, South River, NJ. The band self-produced all tracks, and worked with Jason Suecof (GOD FORBID, TRIVIUM) at Audiohammer Studios, Florida, on the final mix. An excellent mastering job was done by UE Nastase at Sterling Sound, New York City.

Truth In Chaos contains 10 tracks, including all-new versions of the three songs that comprised Delian League’s demo CD, Day Of Question. The tracks are: 'The Embrace', 'Epoch Of Hate', 'Dejected', 'Lost In Sin', 'Star The Cross', 'The Questioning', 'Days Of Regret', 'Your Casualty', 'Final Day', 'Trapped Inside'.

To promote the release of Truth In Chaos, Delian League has performed a series of high profile concerts, including two huge shows at Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ (with God Forbid and LIFE OF AGONY, respectively). More tri-state area shows are being planned for the spring.
