Scar Symmetry Posts New Music Video

The new video clip for the song "Ascension Chamber," by Swedish progressive melodic death metallers SCAR SYMMETRY, can now be streamed here.

Commented guitarist Per Nilsson: "A spiritual entity that originates from the sun travels through the solar system, destination: the earth. That's the basic concept of the song 'Ascension Chamber'. So when we decided to do a video for it, we knew we had to set it in space!

You can view the video here:

We shot the video on the 25th of October with director Ronny Hemlin, only two days before we went on the Neckbreakers Ball tour with BEHEMOTH, DEVILDRIVERS and ARSIS. We performed 'Ascension Chamber' every night on tour and it's one of those songs that just works really well live. It's a keeper on the setlist for sure."

"Ascension Chamber" comes off the bands latest effort Dark Matter Dimensions out now on Nuclear Blast Records. More...

Scar Symmetry Posts New Video Online

Swedish progressive melodic death metallers Scar Symmetry recently shot a video for the first single, "Noumenon & Phenomenon," off their upcoming album, "Dark Matter Dimensions," which was released on October 2, 2009 (Europe) and will be released on October 20, 2009 (North America) via Nuclear Blast Records.

The video shot by Legion of the Damned's very own Maurice Swinkels and is available for viewing on the band's MySpace video channel and YouTube channel.

Bassist Henrik Ohlsson comments: "We're pleased to announce that the video for the song 'Noumenon and Phenomenon,' shot in early September this year is coming together nicely. The director Maurice Swinkels is currently editing it and from what we've seen he's doing a damn fine job! We shot the video at two locations here in Sweden, the first one was basically a photostudio and the second location was...get ready now...an abandoned and haunted insane asylum!"

Maurice Swinkels comments: "Was great meeting up with the Scar Symmetry guys again since I produced their very first, one of the 'The illusionist' videos as well. We had 2 locations, one was shot with greenscreen, one was an old mental hospital which was actually near the studio of Peter Tagtgren! Very cool!"
