The Crown has been working on an upcoming new full-length album, which the band has now revealed will be titled "Nemesis 8 - Death Is Not Dead."
Further details will be announced as they are made available. The Crown will also be touring in Japan this coming June. Check out a teaser for the trek below.
Sweden's death metal masters The Crown have published the following statement regarding the recording process for the follow-up to the "Doomsday King" album:
"A lot of things are happening with The Crown at this very moment. We are in the middle of recording a true masterpiece. Marko is more or less done with his rhythm guitar work and Magnus has started with the bass stuff. He recorded a bass track for one song today before we all got together and filmed a small 'jingle' for our Japanese friends. Only three months until we hit Japan for the very first time. We are extremely excited about this. Hopefully we'll see YOU there.
"Last but not least, we are very proud to announce our new lineup. Yes, we have a new member in the band. His name is Robin Sörqvist and he fits the band more than perfectly. You have probably heard him in the band Impious before. He's got the lead guitar skills and the will to kick ass, just as the rest of us. Please embrace Robin with a big and loud HELL YEAHHHHH!!!!" Massacre Records has checked in with the following announcement about One Man Army and the Undead Quartet (which features Johan Lindstrand of The Crown) officially calling it quits after going on hiatus a year ago:
"We've got bad news for you. About a year ago, Johan announced that the band will take a break and that he'll put all his energy into making the reunion with his band The Crown. Now he confirmed what most of you probably thought would happen: One Many Army and the Undead Quartet call it quits."
Johan Lindstrand added: "Hi there everyone. The time has come to say goodbye. It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone since the last year hasn't exactly been favored to One Man Army. I no longer feel that strong towards what the band meant in the beginning. The first 3-4 years were magic defined but sadly that magic couldn't last.
"Me and all the members, past and present, would like to thank you all a million times for your support. We had a blast most of the times.
"I will now continue my ride with The Crown. May One Man Army And The Undead Quartet rest in peace. This legacy will forever be with me and hopefully with you too! Thank you for the music guys and good luck for your new/future projects!"
One Man Army and the Undead Quartet released four full-length albums, finishing with 2011's "The Dark Epic."
The Crown has issued the following announcement about the return of Johan Lindstrand and the band working on new material:
"We have an announcement to make, Johan Lindstrand has re-joined The Crown, this means that the original line-up is now ready to kill once again! The Crown September 2011:
Johan Lindstrand - Vocals
Magnus Olsfelt - Bass
Marko Tervonen - Rhythm Guitars
Janne Saarenpää - Drums
Marcus Sunesson - Lead Guitars
"We would like to thank our metal brother Jonas Stålhammar for the amazing teamwork for the last couple of years! Respect! Next week we'll start rehearsing new material (6-7 news songs written at this point). We hope to enter the studio early 2012.
"We are thinking of doing a few Swedish dates within a couple of months (most likely a first re-union show in our hometown Trollhättan, this time in a proper club) and then focus on doing some kick-ass festivals in 2012." More...

Marko Tervonen (guitar) states: "We are happy as hell to turn a new page in The Crown's history book... and to pick up the journey with Century Media Records supporting us feels great. We can't wait to unleash Doomsday King upon you all!!!"
Jens Prueter (Head Of A&R, Century Media Europe) adds: "Some of the very early Century Media signings have been Unleashed, Grave, Tiamat, Asphyx, Morgoth – the glory days of the first death metal wave. We are still in love with death metal and are more than proud to announce the signing of Swedish death metal legend The Crown. They haven't lost any aggression since the early 90s and are still a guarantee for some death metal holocaust! In case of doubt, go to one of the summer festivals and hear some new songs live before the album's coming out this fall. We will be there as well. Cheers!"

ONE MAN ARMY AND THE UNDEAD QUARTET frontman Johan Lindstrand (ex-THE CROWN) has posted the following message at the band's official web site:
"You probably remember that I talked about a special thing before the new album will be released? Well, the thing is that we're going to hit the studio in early September to record a Christmas single. It's gonna be entitled 'Christmas For The Lobotomizer'. It's gonna include one brand new song which will be the title track on this single. The same title as above.
Other tracks on this album will be three or four live tracks recorded during one of the many shows we've done this year. We haven't decided on which ones yet. The cool thing with this is that it will be released on a limited edition of 500 copies and you will only be able to buy it from the Nuclear Blast mail-order so you must act fast and hard if you want a copy. And the most important thing: This brand new Army song will only be available on this Christmas single. Release date will be around Christmas time. More exact date as soon as we know. Check it out!"
ONE MAN ARMY AND THE UNDEAD QUARTET released its debut album, "21st Century Killing Machine", in the U.S. this past spring via Nuclear Blast Records. The band supported the album release with an extensive European tour alongside Finland's CHILDREN OF BODOM and Hungarian hardcore/thrash metallers EKTOMORF.

We have started rehearsing big time and some new songtitles for the upcoming album are 'Phantom', 'Sharpen the Knives', 'One-Way Communication', 'Deadweight' and 'The Furnace'. These are still working titles and they may change. There might be a chance we will hit the Swedish road for a couple of dates to try some of this new stuff out, but more on this soon."

And we do already have the title and the cover art finished for it but we will not reveal it just yet. It's not time yet.
Some other great news is that there will be an official release of "When Hatred Comes to Life." But on this official version there will be four songs.
