Ravage Streaming New EP As Lyric Video

Ravage, the heavy metal band from Boston, today released the band's new EP, "The Worldwide Resistance", in the form of a free streaming, full-length lyric video made available exclusively through the New Wave Of Traditional Heavy Metal Full-Albums Channel on YouTube.

The video was made with fan-contributed artwork and videos centred around the song's lyrics, however when photos of the content were leaked, the band received a significant backlash from angry supporters of US President Donald Trump.

Singer Al Ravage commented, "It's really sad that in this poisoned political climate we are unable to have a discussion about the state of things in a civil way. We can't present a piece of art that expresses our feelings about the times without people going crazy and harassing each other and threatening each other. The lyrics of this songs we've released don't even mention the President, but I've personally had Trump supporters try to contact my place of business to try to have me fired from my day job. Cancel culture is out of control and it's taking place on all sides of the political spectrum.

"As for the songs, this is some of the first new original music we've released in a couple of years and it features the kind of melodic memorable tunes that are our signature with plenty of guitar shredding and a good dose of thrash metal heaviness. I think fans of trad metal and thrash will enjoy it regardless of the message of the lyrics, but have an open mind, take a listen, and whatever you think. It's FREE to stream it and proceeds from the sale of the vinyl version are being donated to the ACLU... get out there and vote tomorrow and let your voice be heard! Don't let people silence you, but try to keep it civil and make America proud." More...

Ravage Releases New Music Video

Ravage, the heavy metal act from Boston which formed in the mid 90's, will release their new EP, The Worldwide Resistance, on November 2. The band have released a "socially distanced" music video for the song "Amazon Burning", which can be seen below.

Singer Al Ravage states: "This video was made to call attention to the problem of deforestation, especially in the rain forest, but just in the past few weeks we are tragically seeing these terrible fires on the West Coast that are destroying untold lives and businesses. Our thoughts and best wishes go out to all our friends who are forced to deal with these terrible circumstances and we hope measures will be taken to try to ensure this does not continue to be a growing problem in the future. We will be donating all proceeds from the digital sale of the single version of this to The Arbor Day Foundation." More...

Ravage Announces New EP

Ravage, the heavy metal act from Boston which formed in the mid 90's, will release their new EP, "The Worldwide Resistance," on November 2. The new EP will feature four songs.

Physical copies will only be available in one format - an extremely limited edition, engraved 12" color vinyl limited to 300 worldwide copies. The individual songs will also be made available for digital download and a YouTube video of the songs will be released on an exclusive YouTube channel prior to the physical release. The channel and streaming release date has yet to be announced.

Singer Al Ravage commented, "We are pleased to announce the release of our first new original music since 'The Derelict City' EP CD back in 2018. This new EP is a sampling of some songs that we were working on for our upcoming full-length before the pandemic forced us to shut things down. We chose these tracks because the subject matter is in some ways reflective of some of the disturbing things we see going on in our country and in the world today and we decided it was time to have our say and speak out against some of the injustices we are seeing. We're not politicians or experts, we're just underground metal musicians but we feel if we can spread the word about encouraging mask-wearing to stem the spread of Covid, and shed some light on injustice and hate, we can make some small difference in the world. We've decided we've seen enough and it's time to make a stand for civility, for justice, and for an end to the hate and bigotry. We'll be donating all profits from this vinyl release and the t-shirts to charity."

Physical copies will be distributed by the Die With Your Boots On metal and clothing shop. More...

Ravage Films Show For Future Release

Boston metal veterans Ravage have revealed that it has recorded its recent performance at Ralph's Diner in Worcester, Massachusetts for a future live release. The band commented on the forthcoming "15 Years Underground" release by saying;

"We' like to thank the fantastic crowd and everyone from the Society For World Wide Ravage who ventured out to support us and to support the great five-year tradition of Metal Thursdays shows at Ralph's Diner — the longest-running and best live underground metal series of shows in the country, and probably the world.

"Not everything went on without hitches and glitches — it was a typically mad and crazy Ravage show, but we made it through, and despite one unfortunate incident during which a friend of ours almost had his face ripped off in the mosh pit, everyone emerged OK and unscathed for the most part, and had a great time.

"We look forward to sharing some songs from this night of metal madness with all of you in the near future."

Ravage Posts New Music Video Online

Boston based metal outfit, Ravage has posted their new music video online for the song, "Grapes Of Wrath." You can check it out below. Regarding the video, singer Al Ravage commented,

"I'm proud of what we were able to put together with this video despite a non-existent budget. I think we were able to get our message across in a very entertaining way. The song itself speaks to the personal struggles of the people of our generation as we try to wade through the turbulent waters of this rough economic and social climate. Everyone our age knows someone who has lost his or her job, been burdened by ever increasing credit card or student loan debt and dually had to deal with the fallout of two on-going foreign wars. The song basically is a wake-up call to the brain-dead media personalities and political figures who sit idly by as the world tears itself appart and try to blame music or art for the problems of today's youth. As for the video, as usual, we threw quite a bit in the blender for you all to keep it interesting - including some comedy, some gore, some parody, and a not-so subtle homage to one of our favorite Judas Priest videos. Working with Egan from Lawson: White Heat was a blast 'in particular' and I'm sure all members of the Society For World Wide Ravage will get a kick out of this video." More...

Ravage Issues 2010 Update

Boston thrash metal band Ravage has issued the following update:

"It's been a while, so first I'd like to say thanks to everyone who came out to see Ravage live last year on our first full US tour - it ended disastrously, but it was good to meet many new friends and fans out there along the way and we appreciate everyone's support and we hope to get to all the places we've missed as soon as possible. We are hopefully returning to the Southwest in May and we hope to make up the Las Vegas show and get to Arizona again as well as playing New Mexico for the first time. We also hope we can get into Canada some time this year. Additional thanks to everyone who picked up our Metal Blade Records debut CD 'The End Of Tomorrow.' The album was the culmination of a lot of hard work and headaches and it was nice to finally get it out there. Finally, thanks to everyone who put the record on their top albums lists for 2010, that was very cool of you. Now on to the current and future happenings..." More...

Ravage Issues Year End Update

Boston thrash metal band Ravage has issued the following year end update:

"Last night Ravage played our last live show of the year. It's been a good year for us, we signed with Metal Blade Records, finally released our album 'The End Of Tomorrow,' appeared on two tribute albums - a tribute to Warlock and also a tribute to Running Wild, and we completed our first full US tour which. Although the tour was logistically difficult, financially taxing and wrought with countless problems, it ended up being a good learning experience that ultimately allowed us to play shows and meet new friends and fans in 17 different states across the USA."

"We already have some shows planned for next year as we will be appearing at the Meliah Rage reunion show in February and we have already begun to plan a return to the southwest USA to make up some of the shows we missed and get to some areas we haven't been to before. We have been invited to play at THRASHMAGEDDON 2 FESTIVAL in Albuquerque NM in may and we hope to add some more southwest appearances as well." More...

Ravage Cancels Remaining US Tour Dates

Ravage, the heavy metal band from Boston, MA who released their Metal Blade Records debut "The End Of Tomorrow" in August have been forced to cancel the 5 remaining dates of the band's US tour.

Singer Al Ravage offered this explanation, "I don't know if you've been following the travails and tribulations of our tour on our myspace blog, but for those of you who haven't - I'll give the 'short, short' version (if you are a fan of the film 'Spaceballs,' you'll get that allusion). We planned a self-financed, self-planned, 3-month full USA tour a few months ago that we knew would be extremely difficult, and possibly suicidal, but we wanted to do all we could to try to garner some attention for our new album, for traditional heavy metal in general and to finally get a chance to play to all those people across the USA who have asked to see us over the years. In some respects, the tour was a success - we got to meet many cool new people - people who had picked up the album and had heard of us before - we got to visit some cool new places, and we got to meet some cool bands and experience life on the road for the better part of 3 months. In many respects however, the tour was a major failure. We dealt with poorly promoted events, many unsupportive local acts (acts that even didn't stay to see us play or dropped off the bill entirely with little notice), poor fan turnouts, shows canceled by the club at the last minute, and the worst part - numerous van breakdowns and incompetent repair jobs - which forced us to cancel far too many shows." Ravage Discusses More US Tour Troubles

Boston metal band Ravage has issued the following road report regarding their troubles on their current US tour:

"If you've been following my previous blogs, you know we've been stuck here in beautiful but boring Eugene Oregon since last Sunday, so I'll recap what has happened for all of you over the last week - because it has been awful and we can only apologize to those promoters who wished to help us out with shows and those fans who were waiting to see us."

"Last Saturday night, after our Sacramento CA show was canceled by the venue (because they lose their license), we decided to head north to Seattle. We broke down on I5 heading toward Seattle for the show in which we were supposed to open for Stratovarius on Sunday. We were in Grant's Pass Oregon and quickly had our battery and altenator replaced so we could continue on." More...

Ravage Announces More US Tour Date Cancellations

Boston thrash metal band Ravage has issued the following tour update regarding their recent cancellations:

"We'd like to apologize now to our friends in Idaho as we have been forced to cancel both Idaho shows. We are still stuck in Eugene OR. If you can believe it - we couldn't - the repair shop told us that the part was LOST...LOST! In the mail by the company shipping it! This is unreal... we have been forced to stay here until Thursday - when hopefully we will have things fixed and be back on the road in time to make it to our Vegas show. We were really looking forward to thrashing with our friends in Idaho, but it unfortunately will have to wait for a later tour. Hopefully we can make it back next year under better circumstances."
