Trivium have been confirmed to play alongside Prodigy and Bullet For My Valentine at this years Download Festival set to take place June 9-11 in Donnington, UK. More acts will be announced each week leading up to the event.
Trivium are infamously connected with the festival after they were moved to the main stage last year after their stellar performance on the Roadrage Tour. As a result the performance received a host of accolades including Kerrangs! 10th best gig of all time.
Matt Heafy relishes thoughts of last years event: "It was a rainy, dreary, grey, chilly morning in jolly old England last June at Donington Park when I remember trying to run in place to shake off some nerves and warm up before our bumped-up-from-third-stage-to-main-stage Download show. The doors weren't open yet, and goddamn was that the biggest empty field I ever saw in my life. I was nervous. But when those doors opened, Trivium was witness to a new beginning 40,000 screaming, moshing fans filled into a sea of bodies.
"Download 2005 was the turning point of our career, and after that show, people knew who we are and what we are planning to do... take over this world.
"To be part of this incredible festival again this year is an honor. Last year it made Trivium a much bigger band and I can only imagine what the hell this year holds for us. One thing is certain, it draws us closer to our ultimate goal."

U.K. metalcore act Bullet for My Valentine have cancelled their participation in the upcoming Children of Bodom North American tour in order to join the Rob Zombie/Lacuna Coil touring package, which is scheduled to kick off mid-March. A replacement for Bullet for My Valentine on the Children of Bodom trek has not yet been announced.
Bullet for My Valentine's full-length debut album, "The Poison", will be released in the U.S. on February 14 via Trustkill Records.
ROB ZOMBIE have set the tentative track listing for his new album, entitled "Educated Horses". The follow-up to 2001's "The Sinister Urge" was recorded at Los Angeles' Chop Shop Studios with co-producer Scott Humphrey and will include 11 tracks — including an acoustic number called "Death of It All", "Seventeen Year Locusts" and the album's first single, "Foxy, Foxy". A March 28 release via Geffen Records is expected.
"Educated Horses" track listing:
01. Sawdust in the Blood
02. American Witch
03. Foxy, Foxy
04. Seventeen Year Locust
05. The Scorpion Sleeps
06. 100 Ways
07. Let It All Bleed Out
08. Death of it All
10. The Devil's Rejects
11. Lords of Salem
"We were just very inspired this time," Zombie told MTV.com. "It's amazing how different things can be when you work with people who are excited and energetic and just so into it, that they just really inspire you to create things."
ZOMBIE's upcoming tour with LACUNA COIL and BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE will be his first outing since last summer's Ozzfest, where he headlined the second stage with a band that also included former MARILYN MANSON guitarist John 5, drummer Tommy Clufetos and bassist Rob "Blasko" Nicholson.
"Before Ozzfest, I didn't have any plans to tour again at all. I was sort of sick of it, truthfully. Everything with my last band started to turn ugly and it wasn't that fun," he explained to MTV.com. "With the new band, I just had such a good time that really, as corny as it sounds, it seemed like the old days — we're having a band, we're playing and it's just fun. Once being in a band turns stressful, you go, 'What the f--- am I doing?' It was really fun, and we came off the tour and started making a record and it just clicked. The record ... we were like, 'These are the best songs ever. It would be stupid not to finish it.' "

Hellfest 2005 has announced more bands and their zero tolerance policy along with upgraded security this year. Here's the announcement about the secutity and zero tolerance policy:
"For the past eight years Hellfest has maintained an almost spotless safety record—less a very minor setback last year. This year, Hellfest has made the decision to make adjustments to our safety policy. This year’s motto—ZERO TOLERENCE. Hellfest takes our fans safety as a serious matter. The bands support it, so should you. We've all heard the speech from the pit, you know, the one found in almost all bands hardcore handbook that starts like this—"We're all family here. If someone falls down, you pick them up." We live by that, but we are very aware that not everyone is always 100% willing to cooperate. We're not naive and we know you aren't either."
"In the past Hellfest has had the t-shirt enforced security on site to ensure everyone’s safety, this year we've upped the anty. We understand with the growing numbers and popularity of Hellfest, our security needed an upgrade. This year we've not only welcomed back our faithful t-shirt security to enforce safety on and around all stage areas, but we’ve enlisted armed security and police officers stationed at all other locations, available within arms reach in case of an emergency. The increased security isn't to ruin anyone's fun, but to keep the hardcore scene about things the scene was built on: music, ethics, DIY attitude and the family mentality. Hellfest fans are on the top of our list. We want the best bands, skateboarders, tattoo artists, merchandise, catering and above all else, the best security. In case there’s any confusion on our definition of ZERO TOLERENCE, we offer you an easy to understand list of consequences. The first incident of disorderly conduct will result in the ejection of all parties involved, arrests will be made and you will receive a fine up to a possible $1000. The Sovereign Bank Arena has welcomed Hellfest with open arms, let’s show them the utmost respect from the hardcore scene. Jail is one place the Hellfest and Sovereign Bank Arena staffs don’t want to see you on the weekend of Hellfest. Whether you purchased a three-day pass or a one day ticket, we don't want any unnecessary incidents happening what cause anyone to miss the most talked about festival of the summer."
One day tickets are also on sale now. From July 27 to August 3, a very limited number of single day passes will be available for a reduced rate. A very limited number of $99.99 3-day passes are still available ($20 less than any other tickets for Hellfest) as well.
