TTEOTD Miss Shows Due To Drummer's Apendicitis
Through The Eyes Of The Dead have missed some shows on the tour with A Life Once Lost and Cephalic Carnage. Here is an update from the band out on the road:
“We are very sorry to those who came out to the shows this past week and didn't get to see us. Two days prior to the ALOL/Cephalic tour, our drummer Josh got very sick and had to be rushed to the hospital. He was diagnosed with a severe case of mono and also had appendicitis. He had to have his appendix removed the next day and was told he should recover in 3-4 weeks.
Meanwhile, we have been working with a replacement drummer and we will pick up the tour Friday, April 28th at New England Metal and Hardcore Fest.
We will definitely reschedule the northeastern dates that we missed sometime in the near future. Please check out all of the dates and come out if we are in your area! -Justin"

COB, Chimaira and TTEOTD Rock The Recher Theater
On Tuesday, March 21 I decided to end my several month drought on seeing live shows and go out to see Through The Eyes of the Dead, Chimaira and Children of Bodom play at my new favorite venue, The Recher Theater, in Baltimore, MD. This single movie theater converted to a club/concert hall with a capacity of 700 was sold out and quite packed. The lineup looked good and I didn’t want to miss a chance to catch Through the Eyes of the Dead, who have breathed some much needed life into the largely stale genre of death metal. And ever since “The Impossibility of Reason” and their latest self-titled album, I will gladly see Chimaira any time they come to town. More...

The Sounds of the Underground organizers are taking a different approach to this summer's festival by keeping the number of bands on the bill down and extending the length of set times. Last year most bands got no more than 30 minutes to play.
While dates for the trek — including the official launch date — are still being worked out, SOTU will return to Denver, St. Louis, Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Los Angeles, as well as cities in Texas, New England and western Canada.
