Vomitory recently announced the departure of long time guitarist Ulf Dalegren. Here is the band's announcement:
“We are very sorry to break the news that guitarist Ulf Dalegren has decided to leave Vomitory after fifteen years in the band. Life changes quite a lot during fifteen years and the priorities we need to make change as well along with it. We hate to see Ulf go, but we understand and respect his decision to 100%. We part our musical ways as the best of friends and continue as drinking companions just as usual. We wish him the best of luck with everything in the future! Uffe - we salute you!” – Vomitory
In Ulf's own words:
“It’s with great sadness in my worm infested death metal heart that I have to announce my departure from Vomitory. I feel that there’s no need for details. It’s on a personal level, that’s it. All I can say is that there are no hard feelings between me and the other guys. I wish them all the luck and hope that the band will be out there spreading high quality death metal for many years to come. I’ll return, don’t know where - don’t know when. Death is meant to last forever” –Ulf

"The interest for the vocal job has been great but we haven't found what we've been looking for," the band write on their web site. "So we reconsidered our situation and looked upon it from different perspectives and came to the obvious conclusion that we are going to change nothing! We believe that Vomitory has never sounded better than we do now, so why fix something that isn't broken?"

Metal Blade Records report that GOREROTTED have parted ways with Mr. Gore. They will continue as a five piece until a suitable replacement is found. Remaining vocalist Goreskin and bass player Wilson will handle the high vocals between them for all upcoming festival shows and club gigs.
Gorerotted recently performed at the Kaltenbach open air festival (Austria) as a five piece when Mr. Gore was forced to stay in the UK because of family problems. Anyone who witnessed this show will tell you Gorerotted still fucking destroy as a live band!!!
Vocalist Goreskin has this to say, 'It's like the end of an era losing Mr. Gore, he's been in Gorerotted from the start and was the utter cunt that roped me into singing with him in the first place. Still, he needs to go, it's time to move on and look to the future. Anyway there's still a bunch of ladies in London he hasn't done yet, so at least he'll be able to put his full energy into banging broads again. It's quite nice really, just like releasing a caged animal back into the wild.”
Upcoming Gorerotted live dates include: More...
U.K. extreme metal lunatics Gorerotted have finished shooting a video clip for the title track of their second album, "Only Tools And Corpses".
Commented Gorerotted singer Goreskin: “We hooked up with director Adam Powel because we were really impressed with his other work, in particular his Milk Productions skateboard stunt video 'Ill-Nation'. We shot the whole 'Only Tools And Corpses' video, including the fucking creepy zombies entirely on location in Adam's disused farm buildings. Basically it's a homage to classic horror films like 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' and 'Evil Dead'. In fact this video's everything a Gorerotted video should be — zombies coming out of freezers, chainsaws, apathetic looking undead freaks brandishing hammers and 6 total cocks rocking out in an asbestos hanger. If that ain't metal as fuck, I don't know what is!"
Upcoming GOREROTTED tour dates:
Aug. 14 - Bad Berka, GER – Party.San Open Air
Aug. 16 – Gent, BEL - Frontline (w/ Vomitory)
Aug. 18 – Aalen, GER - Rock It
Aug. 19-21 – Abtsgmünd, GER - Summer Breeze Open Air
Dec. 02 - T.B.A.
Dec. 03 - T.B.A.
Dec. 04 – Arnhem, NETH - Goudvishal
Dec. 05 – Tilburg, NETH - 013
Swedish death metallers VOMITORY have finished work on their new forthcoming album, ""Primal Massacre", out April 19th on Metal Blade Records.
The tracklisting is as follows: More...
Tobias Gustafsson, the drummer for the Swedish death metal act Vomitory, has posted the following studio update on the group's official web site:
"Our fifth album, 'Primal Massacre', is now taking its shape! We (Ulf - guitars, Henrik Larsson - producer, and me) arrived at [Studio Kuling in Örebro, Sweden] on Sunday December 7th, set up the equipment on Monday and spent several hours waiting for studio equipment that our producer, Henrik Larsson, had ordered from a rental company. But due to their incompetence, it showed that they had sent the equipment to the wrong part of the country! So the whole Monday was a waste of time, but on Tuesday we managed to get killer drum sound without that equipment, so we began recording without it. More...
