Musink Festival 2017 Announced
The 10th annual Musink, presented by Travis Barker, is set for March 17, 18, and 19, 2017 at the OC Fair & Events Center in Costa Mesa, CA.
The three-day tattoo convention, car show and concert is America’s largest tattoo and music festival, featuring hundreds of world-renowned tattoo artists, Famous Stars and Straps presents the Low and Slow Car Show, a vendor village and music from headliners NOFX, The Used, Bad Religion, Pennywise, and more.
A limited number of discounted early bird tickets for MUSINK will be on sale this Wednesday, December 7 at 10:00 AM PT, while supplies last. Single-day, full weekend 3-day passes, and a selection of VIP ticketing options will also be available for purchase. Full info is available here.

The Used Announces "Take Action" Tour
The Used has issued the following announcement about performing on the upcoming "Take Action" tour to benefit the It Gets Better Project:
"We are very excited to announce that we will headline the 2013 Take Action Tour benefiting the It Gets Better Project! Tickets are on sale now over at this location. More Bands Confirmed For Soundwave Festival 2012
Although it wasn't expected until December, the organizers of Australia's Soundwave Festival have made their second band announcement. Joining the 60 bands already announced are Staind, Wednesday 13, Unearth, Cathedral, Shadows Fall, Heaven Shall Burn, Your Demise, Kittie, and 14 other (mostly non-metal) bands.
Hole has pulled out of the festival after frontwoman Courtney Love refused to play before Limp Bizkit. Soundwave boss AJ Maddah said on Twitter that he was "relieved we got the moody old cow off the bill. [There’s] no point talking her back, only for her to cancel later, or turn up & act like a rotten twat to other artists, fans, etc."
A third announcement in early December will add another five bands to the lineup, and Danzig is one of the confirmed possibilities. More...
Soundwave 2012 Lineup Announced
Organizers of the Australian Soundwave Festival have made the first official lineup announcement. Joining the reformed Coal Chamber as previously reported will be headline acts System Of A Down, Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, Marilyn Manson, Machine Head, Lamb Of God and Trivium as well as 53 other bands.
Bands of particular interest to metal fans include Devin Townsend Project, Dillinger Escape Plan, Black Label Society, Mastodon, Steel Panther, Meshuggah, Hatebreed, Biohazard, Dragonforce, Gojira, Kvelertak, Hellyeah, Chimaira, Watain, and Turisas.
A second announcement for the series of one day festivals is reportedly coming in December, with 88 bands expected to be included in the final billing. More...
Atreyu Cancels Sayerville Appearance
Atreyu has been forced to pull out of their Sayerville, New Jersey show this Sunday due to a death in the family of member Brandon Saller. Here's a statement from Saller:
"Unfortunately I have some bad news. I recently had a had a death in the family. I need to be at home with my family for the services etc. This being said, Atreyu will not be able to play the Sayreville , NJ show on Sunday the 14th. I am terribly sorry for my absence. This will be the first show I have missed since the forming of this band. I hope you all have a great time at the show and can understand my decision to be with my family at this time. We will continue the tour on the 16th in Niagra Falls. Again I'm sorry. We'll see you next time around."

Avenged Sevenfold and Korn To Play Detroit
Avenged Sevenfold has announced what sounds like a one-off date with Korn, The Used and Burn Halo at DTE Energy Music Theatre in Detroit, MI on May 15, 2009. Ticketing information will be announced soon.
Rock On The Range 2009 Line-Up, Details Revealed
ROCK ON THE RANGE will return to Columbus, Ohio’s Crew Stadium Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17, 2009. The 2009 line-up for the nationally renowned festival centrally located in the heart of the country will be highlighted by performances from some of rock’s biggest artists including Mötley Crüe, Slipknot, Alice In Chains, Avenged Sevenfold and Korn.
“We try to listen to our fans and they've been saying for years that we should play at Rock On The Range,” said Nikki Sixx of Mötley Crüe.
“We're really excited to play one of America's great rock festivals,” SLIPKNOT’s Corey Taylor says, “Being asked to headline Rock on the Range is an absolute pleasure! Columbus, Ohio has always been very good to us. The line-up looks great; the shows look fantastic. And I personally think it will be an absolute blast for everyone. See you in May!”
Presented by Right Arm Entertainment, AEG LIVE and Crew Stadium, the two-day, multi-stage music and lifestyle event will feature a potent line-up of more than 35 bands. This year’s well-rounded mix of rock’s top artists also includes Shinedown, Buckcherry, The Used, Atreyu, Chevelle, Flyleaf, Saving Abel, Saliva, Blue October, Hoobastank, Black Stone Cherry, and many more.
This marks the third outing for the annual event, which drew 30,000 people in its inaugural year in 2007 and more than 55,000 people in 2008.
