SOTU 2007 Lineup and Tour Dates Announced

Sounds of the Underground has announced the lineup for their annual tour. Following two straight appearances in the middle of the day, the event will be closed most nights by splatter metal champions, GWAR; ensuring that fans will remain blood and gore-free until the closing hours of the show. Three other bands will rotate in the headlining position prior to GWAR: a block-buster artist yet to be announced, face-shredding metal pugilists Chimaira, and experimental noisemakers Every Time I Die.

The day will be completed with a bill including Necro, Darkest Hour, Amon Amarth, The Acacia Strain, The Devil Wears Prada, HeavyHeavyLowLow, The Number Twelve Looks Like You, Goatwhore, This Is Hell, and 2 Cents. Expect additional special guest headliners to join the bill on select dates.

The touring festival launches in July and runs into August. More...

Light This City To Tour w/ Horse The Band, TNTLLY

LIGHT THIS CITY teams up with Horse The Band, The Number 12 Looks Like You, So Many Dynamos
Bay Area thrashers LIGHT THIS CITY, upon completion of the band's current tour with fellow Californians The Faceless and Antagonist, will meet up with Horse The Band, The Number 12 Looks Like You and So Many Dynamos for nearly a month of dates. In the meantime, though, LIGHT THIS CITY will headline a few dates before meeting up for that tour. Because of routing, the band will not be able to perform at their previously scheduled appearance at California Metalfest.

Currently continuing to support the band's latest effort, 'Facing The Thousand,' LIGHT THIS CITY recently wrapped up filming of the band's debut video with director Soren (Unearth). An uncensored version will be available online shortly.

The Number Twelve Looks Like You In Writing Mode

The Number Twelve Looks Like You recently posted an update stating that they've written five songs for a new record. The band feels as if they're "breaking new ground here" and may post a demo in the near future.

The new album will be the proper follow-up to last year's release Nuclear. Sad. Nuclear., though the band re-issued their 2003 debut Put On Your Rosy Glasses just last month through ECA.

New Jersey's The Number Twelve Looks Like You announced this week the full schedule for their "The Outta The Mist" headlining tour. The package includes dates with Heavy Heavy Low Low, The Jonbenet, Yakuza and Eyeball label-mates Signal To Noise running from late June in Buffalo through the end of July in Nashville. In August, there is rumor of a co-heading run Fear Before The March of Flames before heading back into the studio in the fall to begin working on their sophomore full-length for Eyeball Records due out in Spring 2007. God Forbid Announce Benefit Concert

New Jersey thrashers God Forbid will play a benefit concert on June 4 at the Wayne Firehouse in Wayne, New Jersey. Proceeds from the gig will support their friend Frank Piegaro, former guitarist for the Degenerics and Ensign. Piegaro has been battling a rare skin disease for several years, and money raised during the show will help fund his recovery. Nora, the Number Twelve Looks Like You, Fanshen and Hot Cross will also perform; tickets are priced at $15.
