California metal band MURDER CONSTRUCT has posted a new track, “End Of An Error,” online via SickDrummerMagazine.com. The track is posted along with live video of the band performing “End Of An Error” during their west coast dates with VENOMOUS CONCEPT in September. “End Of An Error” comes from the band’s forthcoming debut EP that will see its release on November 23rd on CD, LP and digitally.
MURDER CONSTRUCT have recently confirmed a record release show in support of their EP for Saturday, November 27th at 3 Clubs (1123 N. Vine St) in Hollywood.
MURDER CONSTRUCT features Travis Ryan (CATTLE DECAPITATION) on vocals, Leon del Muerte (EXHUMED, PHOBIA, IMPALED) on guitar and vocals, Kevin Fetus (FETUS EATERS, WATCH ME BURN) on guitar, Danny Walker (INTRONAUT, EXHUMED, UPHILL BATTLE) on drums, and Caleb Schneider (BAD ACID TRIP) on bass.
Gore-metal band EXHUMED are currently in the studio recording their first full-length album since 2003’s "Anatomy Is Destiny." EXHUMED guitarist/vocalist/founder Matt Harvey, bassist Leon DelMuerte and guitarist Wes Caley are currently at Arcane Digital Recording in Arizona working with engineer Ryan Butler (MISERY INDEX) to record vocals, bass and guitar tracks. EXHUMED drummer Danny Walker previously laid down his drum tracks at Trench Studios with John Haddad (ABYSMAL DAWN, INTRONAUT). Mixing and mastering will be handled by Brian Elliott (GRAVES OF VALOR) at Mana Recording Studios (CANNIBAL CORPSE, GOATWHORE, NILE).
Matt Harvey recently checked in from the studio with the following update, "So far we're really psyched on what's been oozing out of the speakers! The guitars are sounding really aggressive right out of the box. I can't wait to get into the vocals and flesh out the songs. We have 18 songs to work through while we're here and then we'll sort through and cherry-pick the heaviest, ugliest tracks for the new record, which is gonna be titled "All Guts, No Glory". I think it builds on all the best shit from our first three records and should disgust and revolt any poseurs out there!"
"All Guts, No Glory" is expected to see a spring 2011 release date.
The organisers of the Maryland Deathfest have announced the first ten confirmations for next year's edition of the festival. Among them are recently reunited death metal outfit Exhumed, reactivated groove metal instigators Exhorder and Italian grindcore veterans Cripple Bastards, as well as Impaled Nazarene, Repugnant, The Kill, Wormed, Blood Freak, Cretin and Nightbringer. The festival will take place from May 27th-29th. Stay tuned for further information.
American death metal group Exhumed has announced their reformation after a five year hiatus. The band will consist of vocalist/guitarist Matt Harvey, guitarist Wes Caley, bassist Leon DelMuerte and drummer Danny Walker. The band will also be recording a brand new album, their first since "Anatomy Is Destiny" in 2003, which is eyeing a Spring 2011 release.
Matt Harvey stated: "I'm totally fucken psyched to be making music with Exhumed again, it's been way too long. After a few years off and away from the death metal scene, I feel rejuvenated and ready to hack, maim and kill once again. I wanted this to be a continuation of what the band was doing and was on its way to doing, not a reunion or some weird nostalgia thing, so the first person I started talking about this with was our guitarist Wes (Caley), who has been writing some great songs for the new album, and once he got the ball rolling with Leon (DelMuerte, bass, vocals) and Danny (Walker, drums), it come together quickly and easier than ever!"
"We've been writing for the past few months, me in Hawaii, and the other guys in California, and now that I'm back on the mainland we'll be getting things together for album number four. We're all really excited about the new shit, it should combine the directness of Slaughtercult and the intricacy of Anatomy..., so it's definitely gonna be our strongest record yet."
Guelph, Ontario based hardcore/grind act Drudgery has streamed their entire debut album, "Rust," online at the band's MySpace page. The album will be released through Year of the Sun Records on July 15th, 2008.
"One of the ultimate goals for any band is for as many people to hear the music as possible, and in this day and age it's great how easy it is to be able to make your material so accessible to the listeners," says drummer Matt Connell. "We worked really hard on ‘Rust', from the writing stages, to the last stages of the recording process, and wound up making a disc that we feel delivers some pretty raw and adrenaline pumping grind. We're stoked for people to check it out."
Drudgery is the new project spearheaded by drummer Matt Connell (Fuck The Facts, Exhumed) and features ex-Dear Black Diary bassist Steve Ferraro on vocals. The group's debut EP was recorded at Frozen Solid Studios in Guelph, Ontario by Matt Connell.
Here is Drudgery's "Rust" track listing:
1. Sink Or Swim
2. Rad Cadaver
3. At All Cost
5. Bottom Feeder

"When listening to Drudgery you really get that raw old school vibe and it shows on this record" states label head Chris Benn. "When the band approached me with the 'Rust' recording, everything about it was straight up and in your face. From the tracks right down to the artwork, you could tell it was a no nonsense kind of record."
Drudgery's debut EP was recorded at Frozen Solid Sound in Guelph, Ontario under the eye of producer Matt Connell. The group has posted new tracks online at the band's MySpace page.

Ibex Moon Records have announced the signing of FATALIST from Ventura, CA. FATALIST features members Wes Caley (ex-Exhumed, ex-Uphill Battle), Neil Burkdoll (ex-Stump, Dirty Dead), Tyler Castro and Art Hayes. They formed in the spring of 2006 and write music reminiscent of Entombed, Nihilist, Grave, Dismember and Unleashed. FATALIST's demo CD entitled "Loss" was self-released in November of 2007.
You can check out some of their material on their MySpace page.
John McEntee, Owner of Ibex Moon Records comments: "I was blown when I first heard this band. They have such a sincere heavy, catchy and aggressive death metal vibe. It reminded me of the first time I heard some of the classic Scandinavian death metal bands of the late 80's early 90's. I feel that FATALIST is a extremely promising band and will be a staple of the worldwide death metal scene. I'm proud to have them as a part of the Ibex Moon roster."
Neil Burkdoll states, "We are really excited and happy to be working with Ibex Moon. With bands like Nominon, Funerus, and Incantation, how can you go wrong? John has been very supportive of us and we look forward to releasing a great album in 2008."

I'm sure this video has been floating around the Internet for a while, but I just saw it. "If Alf Were To Make A Death Metal Music Video" - the title says is all. The video is clips of that bad 80's muppet star of his self-named TV show, Alf, "playing" Exhumed's "DeathWalks Behind You." You can watch the video here.
Licensed from Relapse Records and available as a proper vinyl release for the first time, Exhumed’s debut “gore metal” album is limited to 300 copies and includes a full color jacket, full color inner sleeve and labels. Look for their second album “slaughtercult” in February 2006, followed by their “platters of splatter” 2LP collection in April 2006 on Circle of Tyrants Records.
Formed in 1991, when sole remaining founding member Matt Harvey was at the tender age of 15, Exhumed spent much of the ensuing decade hacking its way through numerous line-ups, demos, split CDs, and EPs. The band finally recorded their debut album, the genre- (re) defining and critic-repulsing “Gore Metal” in 1998. The album crystallized the “old-school Death Metal meets full-on Grindcore with the spirit of Thrash” sound forged during the recordings of their last demo and first split CD (“Horrific Expulsion of Gore” and “In the Name of Gore” respectively).

American gore metal ministers Exhumed have signed for a CD and DVD with Listenable Records. First product coming from this clinical alliance is a tribute CD entitled "Garbage Daze Re-Regurgitated."
Here's what leader Matt Harvey says:
The recordings for "Garbage Daze Re-Regurgitated" are in full swing, and I personally guarantee that it's going to be full-on madness! We can't wait for all you maniacs out there to hear the new line-up and especially for us to to get back on the road and bring it to your doorstep! We miss you crazy fuckers! We're also doing the DVD with Listenable later on in '05, which should capture all the beerz, cheerz, and jeerz you've all come to know and love. And if that isn't enough we're planning a European tour in May with a couple of our favorite bands, so we're gearing up for a hella-crazy year! We'll see you there, dudes and dudettes... So fuck yeah- over and out!
Exhumed is excited to announce a new member to the band's dysfunctional family. Joining the band as the new permanent drummer is Canadian native Matt Connell (ex-Fuck the Facts and Experiment in Terror). Exhumed would like to extend a “fuck yeah!” to Connell, who replaces founding member Col Jones (who left the band in 2003, shortly after the recording of "Anatomy is Destiny"). Connell agreed, adding “I'm totally stoked! It's awesome to be part of a band I have always held in such high regard. I look forward to helping the guys unleash some good ol' Gore Fuckin' Metal upon the masses.” The other Matt in the band, sole-remaining original member Matt Harvey, welcomed Connell aboard. “Mike (Beams, guitar and vocals) and I are both excited to be finally solidifying a permanent line-up, and the other Matt is going to be a killer addition to the band. While the Canadian jokes will undoubtedly fly fast and furious in the tour van, no one will be joking when they hear some seriously intense one-foot blasts from this guy! I personally guarantee that it will be a total autopsy holocaust doss of maddening mega-grinding!”
Connell will make his recording debut with Exhumed this December when the band will be recording an album of covers to be titled "Regurgitated Requiems: Garbage Daze Re-Regurgitated." The album is slated to feature covers from Siege, Master, Metallica, Hexx, Epidemic, Unseen Terror, Amebix, Sadus, Samhain, G.B.H., The Cure, and others to be announced soon.
Since the departure of Col Jones, who provided percussion for the band from 1991-2003, Exhumed has enlisted the services of Danny Walker (of Uphill Battle and Cinema Strange) and Death Metal hired gun John Longstreth (currently touring with Dying Fetus) on various tours throughout the US, Europe, Japan, Australia, and Iceland.
Exhumed frontman Matt Harvey has commented on his one-off stint as the lead singer for Exodus at their headlining gig in Mexico City last weekend. Writing to Exodus' official message board, Harvey said, "I don't usually post on boards and what-not, but I wanted to make some kind of statement about the weekend I just had.
"To say I was honored to even be considered to fill in for the show in Mexico would be a HUGE understatement. I've been a fan of Exodus since I bought 'Pleasures of the Flesh' in 1987 when I was 11 or 12 years old. The first metal show I ever attended was the 'Headbangers Ball' tour in '89 with Anthrax/Exodus and Hellween. Exodus is one of my favorite bands off all time and even though I've been mostly involved with the death metal and grind scenes for the past 12 years in Exhumed, my love of thrash and of Exodus has never faltered.
"I just want to thank Gary, Rick, Tom, and Jack for giving me the opportunity to front one of the greatest bands of all time on Saturday. I will never forget it as long as I live and I never would have thought that it would happen in my wildest 'heavy metal fantasy' (as Herr doktor Schnuggles would say). I also want to extend a massive thanks to all the Exobangers in Mexico City for making me feel welcome!
"I know that a lot of people were disappointed that Zetro didn't make it (myself included) but I know that the band didn't want to let the promoters and people involved, and most of all the fans, down. I hope that I didn't let you guys down up there — I did the best I could considering that we had only 5 songs' worth of rehearsal that day at soundcheck. I guess all those years of singing along with the albums finally paid off!
"Thanks so much for being an amazing crowd and making me feel at home, because I would be lying if I said that I wasn't really nervous up there! If anyone has any pictures or video, or audio for that matter I would love to see it.
"Thanks again to the Exodudes and their management and crew for making me feel welcome and especially to everyone at the show!"
