We're back from the Tuska festival in Helsinki, Finland and we had a blast. We really loved the loud & screaming audience at our first show ever in Finland. Thanks to our scout Holle, Fleisch & Jouni. We met a lot of good friends there. The gallery is updated with some pictures and impressions, plus some pics done at our videoclip session for "Seven Seals" & "Evil Spell", we shot last week in Munich with director Volker Hannwacker from AVA Studios! We're preparing this week for our next show on Saturday at the Earthshaker Festival near Wuerzburg/Germany! Hope to see you there!
Here's for the first time a new picture from the "Seven Seals" session by Katja Piolka! We will post the new cover artwork of the album and the single "Seven Seals" during the next days!
According to the organizers of the Earthshaker Festival, Primal Fear will take part in a live chat on June 30th at 8:00pm CET.
Grave Digger will do the same on July 18th at 9:00pm CET.

Primal Fear bassist Mat Sinner has posted the following message on his official web site:
I've just recorded vocals & bass on two tracks for [Sinner's reunited first band] Shiva — 'This Ain't Love' and 'Hold On'. One track will appear on a forthcoming AIDS benefit compilation. The other track will appear on a special compilation following my book project "Chronicles" in January 2006.
I've nearly finsihed my book during my stay in Vancouver, but there are a lot of more things to add. Now I have to finish the new Primal Fear album, "Seven Seals," first, including all the cover artwork and photo stuff, mastering and the video clips. Everybody who could listen to the album so far is totally surprised about the music and production — nice! We will present the album to 20 European journalists on July 30th. The first video clip will be shot on July 8th in Munich with AVA Studios and director Volker Hannwacker (who did the 'Armageddon' video clip with us). It will be the first single of the album, the title track 'Seven Seals'. A second clip will be shot directly following the first one. We're not 100% sure at the moment, but it could be well the ear-crushing 'Evil Spell'. The album will be released by Nuclear Blast worldwide, except Japan/Asia via longtime partner JVC, on October 24th with a world tour following in early 2006!
German power metallers Primal Fear have posted the following message on their official web site:
The mastering [of the new album "Seven Seals"] is done with our longtime collaborator Achim Köhler at Indiscreet Mastering and Björn Engelmann at the Cutting Room in Sweden. Those few who could listen to the album at the Nuclear Blast office are excited, very surpised about the music, our different attitude and tell us about the best production and songs we've ever recorded. Nice and ... that the fans will love it. Nuclear Blast will prepare a special listening section on their page, where you will find sound samples very soon! Head of Promotion Markus wrote this nice mail earlier today: "There are good albums, there are bad albums .... but this album is impossible. On October 24th is the day of PF's milestone — 10 songs, 10 direct hits, 10 out of 10 points!" ... Thanks, brother!
It's still a long time till the release and a lot of work. We finished the fantastic and different artwork with Martin Häussler today plus an insane and outstanding booklet with Katja Piolka. She's responsible for the new photo session, too! We're working on the most elaborate Primal Fear packaging ever with our friend Michael Langbein at Nuclear Blast. The CD will include 10 tracks and of course, there will be a limited edition of the album will include two brand-new high quality bonus tracks plus the video clip for 'Seven Seals'. Mat is close to finish his book project "The Chronicles", which will be released early next year. More details on this huge project soon!
For the next shows, we designed a brand-new shirt for the summer festivals, which will be on sale at the Graspop festival in Belgium first.
Primal Fear have posted the following update at their official website:
We're back from Vancouver, BC and we had a really good time. To work with Mike Frazer at the Warehouse was fantastic. Not only, that Frazer is a world class pro, the entire surrounding was great. Thanks to Eric Mosher, who did an unbelievable job in keeping us happy and Steve Dickson from PHD, who supported us on the highest level. Vancouver is maybe the nicest city in the world, with a great club scene - check it out!
Mixes are done; we mixed 12 new tracks and still working on a little joke. The working title for the album is "Seven Seals." We're planning to master the album in the next weeks, the final tracklist, plus finishing the cover and artwork, and we plan the shoot of two video clips for the new album.

Primal Fear bassist Mat Sinner has posted the following message on his web site:
We wrote bunch of 23 tracks overall and decided this weekend, which songs will be recorded on the new — yet untitled album. I worte some outstanding tunes, together with my Swedish friend Ronny Milianowicz (Dionysus, ex-Sinergy). We have decided to re-record one of my all-time Sinner classic songs, which we could only played on our tour with Deep Purple in 1998. I always thought, that Ralf Scheeper's voice would fit this song perfectly. In two weeks, we will enter the House Of Music and rock the place. I have a new deal with Sandberg guitars and my new California rocks!
Regaring the recordings, we were able to finalize a very good plan for the new album. Again, I will produce the album together with the band, plus co-producer and engineer Charlie Bauerfeind. I had a lot of other productions going with Charlie durning the last years like, Hammerfall, Cans or Helloween and we came along very well. I'm absloutely convinced, that Charlie will bring some new fresh positive power to our new album. As you know, that Randy is a native from Vancouver in Canada, his dream was to mix the album at this place. We could sort out a fantastic Plan B. too. Well, it's more expensive to mix the album over there with a legendary world class mixer, but we will try it. Mike Fraser worked with AC/DC, Metallica, Coverdale/Page, Slipknot, Aerosmith, the Cult etc etc and probably at Bryan Adams' Warehouse studio. You all can imagine, that we're really looking forward to record & mix this album!
Tuska Open Air Metal Festival has added more international and Finnish acts to the 2005 roster. The line-up is almost complete with only 1 more artist to be added for Saturday afternoon as well as the winner from the band contest at Rotonde-Festival, France, which is to be held later this spring. This year's Tuska-Festival is more international than ever, with nearly half of the artists coming from abroad. The evening clubs will most likely see some international action as well.
New additions in Finnish professionalism will be represented by Apocalyptica, whose cello metal is witnessed way too rarely on their native soil. Apocalytica just recently supported Rammstein on their European tour and appeared stateside on a few selected dates.
German precision and universal greatness is brought to you by the mighty Gamma Ray. The band last appeared on the bill at Tuska 2000 and have since built their fanbase by selling out club shows on a regular basis.
Other additions include up-and-coming death metallers Amoral, Finnish-singing Stam1na and Viikate, as well as Callisto who are about to embark on a European tour in a few weeks.
The search continues for one more, either domestic or foreign artist.
Ticket sales for Tuska 2005 start on Friday April 1st. Three-day ticketcosts 67 euro, one-day ticket 32 euro. Go to www.lippupalvelu.fi to purchase tickets.
Current Tuska 2005 line-up reads as follows: More...
