Boston thrash metal band Ravage has issued the following update:
"As for us, we will be playing a couple of more local shows including a hometown show to benefit the homeless at My Honey Fitz in Malden MA on March 20th. It will be the first time we have played inside the actual Malden city limits in many years. I think it will be our first Malden show since the infamous shows at TJ's Roadhouse back in 2000. We are also playing special April Fools Metal Thursdays show at Ralph's Diner in Worcester MA on April 1st."
"We also hope to make up some of the southwest shows we missed during last fall's US tour. We'll be appearing at Thrashmagedon 2 in Albuquerue NM on May 1st and details on any other shows will be announced soon."
"We are working on new material and hope to begin recording some time in the summer."
"In other news..."
"Check out the forthcoming album from STEEL MAID - featuring members of RAVAGE, RITUAL STEEL, and IVORY TOWER. It was recorded over the last 2 years and will finally be released on CD and Vinyl by Karthago Records in April. You can now hear clips from all the tracks at www.steel-maid.de in the soundcheck section."
"Ravage bassist Rich Berte is recording a demo with his thrash band Rich Berte's LETHAL DESIGN - which should be available soon."
"Former Ravage bassist Mike Gignac's band RIPFENCE recently finished recording and should have an album coming out soon."
"Ravage drummer Pete Webber has joined Colorado thrashers HAVOK and will be playing on tour with them this spring. We wish him the best of luck as he heads out on an extensive stint opening for Primal Fear and Hammerfall."
"Drummer Dan Kowal (of Rich Berte's LETHAL DESIGN) has been named as a fill-in at the drum position. Check out his other band SKULLHAMMER who also have an album coming soon."

The DVD will feature mainly the 2009 concerts in Switzerland and Atlanta/USA, plus a lot of interesting shots from Japan, Colombia, Brazil, Germany, Sweden etc etc. – still a long way to go, but it will be a killer package incl. the first official Live CD of Primal Fear 'Live In The USA' recorded in Los Angeles, Atlanta and New York. Wisconsin female fronted metal band Luna Mortis has announced that they have decided to disband. Lead guitarist Brian Koenig issued the following statement regarding their decision to disband:
"I regret to say that as of today the band will be dissolving and we will be going our separate ways. A huge thanks from the bottom of our hearts for the fans and support we have received over the course of the last 9 years. It has been an exciting and often turbulent ride, but everything must come to an end eventually. Unfortunately, we will be unable to go on the May tour with Primal Fear, so our apologies to the people who were looking forward to hanging with us out on the road. To our local fans, we will more than likely be playing one more Madison show sometime in the next few months, we'll keep everyone posted"
Luna Mortis was recently dropped from Century Media Records. In December vocalist Mary Zimmer commented on their uncertain future as a band after being dropped by their label, "Does this mean Luna Mortis will not be releasing another album? No. It just means that soon, we will be label-less and have a few decisions to make about what our next move will be and what we'd like to do in regard to the future of the band."
Vocalist Mary Zimmer of Luna Mortis has issued the following update:
"As a lot of you guys have noticed, we have been announced as the direct support for Primal Fear in North America from the end of May-June of 2010. This is true, we are really excited about the tour, I am going to post the dates today. It's going to be a great tour, covering more of the US this time, including Texas and some southern areas we have never played before. We look forward to going out on the road with Primal Fear, who are an excellent band and terrific musicians."
"The next thing that a few of you have messaged my personal profile about is the fact that we now appear listed in the 'alumni' list of the Century Media website. This is because we are in fact, being dropped by Century Media and will not be releasing another record with them. Does this mean Luna Mortis will not be releasing another album? No. It just means that soon, we will be label-less and have a few decisions to make about what our next move will be and what we'd like to do in regard to the future of the band." More...

Germany's Primal Fear have issued the following recap of their "Viva La Swabia" tour:
"We're back home and the ‘Viva La Swabia’ tour and after some day of rest, we just want to say THANK YOU to our fans for an exciting year and some unforgettable moments. The feedback on our new album ‘16.6 –Before The Devil Knows You’re Dead’ was a great positive surprise and the second highest chart entry in Germany (#46) for Primal Fear. Other cool chart information from Sweden and Japan followed.
"We started our ‘16.6’ tour in Moscow this year and after some festivals, we returned to South America with special guests „Sinner’. Our guitarist Magnus became father of twins and again (like in 1999 and 2007) Alex Beyrodt was the man fort he job. The adventure started..... and the question was: how can you survive 8 days without sleep - the shows in Mexico, Colombia, Argentina and Brazil were fantastic and even we came home exhausted & jetlagged, everyone was satisfied. After some days of rest, we started our first little headlining tour through North America. We expected just a new start of our activities there, but most of the shows were a blast, especially Los Angeles, Atlanta, New York & Montreal. More...

Germany's Primal Fear has issued the following tour diary from their South American tour:
"At the beginning of August, Primal Fear and Special Guest Sinner traveled to South America to play four shows in four countries in five days. This meant: Maximum Rock’n’Roll, amazing fans and almost zero sleep. Prepare for take off!
"Two bands, three techs, that’s a lot of people. And it has been a while that we started from Stuttgart with six guys. Among us is our latest addition, drum tech Tommy, who fits very well into the Primal Fear camp. We’re also especially happy that our long time friend Duce is making his comeback as guitar tech, now that he is usually travelling with Children Of Bodom all the time. For a massive trip like this it’s good to know you have good people with you. This of course includes our master of sound, Achim Köhler (a.k.a. ‘the guy called Coca Kohler’), and the legendary Klaus Sperling on drums with Sinner. After the easiest check-in ever we’re flying to Frankfurt and then without much further ado to Mexico City - on a 12hr flight! But: Kohler has entered the Business Class! More...

"We're ecstatic to be playing with Primal Fear in Los Angeles, there's no doubt about that! Personally, I'm beside myself given I truly love Primal Fear. They've been my favorite band for the last five years and they have really opened by eyes and ears in terms of playing great melodic German power metal. I've been a fan of Ralf since his days with Gamma Ray, and now to be sharing the stage with him and Primal Fear...it's incredible! It's going to be one hell of an evening filled with fantastic heavy metal. Our fans can't wait!"
