"We've got bad news for you. About a year ago, Johan announced that the band will take a break and that he'll put all his energy into making the reunion with his band The Crown. Now he confirmed what most of you probably thought would happen: One Many Army and the Undead Quartet call it quits."
Johan Lindstrand added: "Hi there everyone. The time has come to say goodbye. It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone since the last year hasn't exactly been favored to One Man Army. I no longer feel that strong towards what the band meant in the beginning. The first 3-4 years were magic defined but sadly that magic couldn't last.
"Me and all the members, past and present, would like to thank you all a million times for your support. We had a blast most of the times.
"I will now continue my ride with The Crown. May One Man Army And The Undead Quartet rest in peace. This legacy will forever be with me and hopefully with you too! Thank you for the music guys and good luck for your new/future projects!"

"Anyway, there has been some major changes in the band. I will not go into any details right now but yes, Mattias is no longer in the band. He was very dedicated to music but his vision kind of crashed with how we wanted to proceed with The Army. There is no need in going into more details.
"Our new band member is called Pierre Lysell. An awesome guy in any way. But we are kinda taking it day by day with him to see if both he and us can be together for the long run. As you all know we have had pretty bad luck when it comes to guitar players in the past. But so far it has been totally great so in a few weeks we can hopefully give you more info on the matter."

"Hello folks. Marek here with an update from Black lounge / The abyss studio.
"So the process have begun, we are recording a new album. The dark epic... And what a killer album it will be.
"I started this morning off pretty early about 7 am. Changed all the heads and tuned and rigged my kit. Jonas showed up as planned about 9am and started putting micks on the drums and preparing all his stuff. By lunch the linecheck and basicsound was complete and we where ready to start tracking. We grabbed a quick bite and then started. First of was 'The Dark Epic...' then 'Devil's harlot,' followed by 'Zombie Syndrome' and finishing up the day with 'Inside the head of god.' If felt really good to get such start from day one. I'm really happy with today, tired but happy."
"We started tracking 9.30am. Fresh, rested and full of energy. Feel really good working with Jonas again. He's really a positive guy that encurages you to do your best. Thanks dude!!!
"Anyway by 4.00pm all the song where tracked. I feel really good about the whole process. Drumsound, studiowibe and my playing. This album will kick major ass.
"I also got the opportunity to meet the guys form Septic Flesh, that are here mixing their new album.
"So there you have it. That was the second day in the making of 'The Dark Epic...'"
One Man Army and the Undead Quartet vocalist, Johan Lindstrand, has checked in with the following studio update:
"Johan here checking in from Studio Kisslebög. I´ve just put the vocals on 6 tracks on our pre-recording. Will probably do another 4-5 in a week or so and I´ve gotta tell ya, we have pretty awesome material to choose from when we´ll do the final studio recording in october.
"Other than that I can tell you that we also have a new home on Facebook. Visit Onemanarmyofficial to get the latest updates."
Johan of Swedish metallers One Man Army and the Undead Quartet has issued the following album update:
"It´s been quite a while since the last update and I truly appologise for that.
"However, here it comes:
"We´ve been really busy writing material for the fourth Army album. An album which we intend to record sometime during October/November this year. We are currently working on 12 songs but the final product will probably include 8-10 songs. Most likely 8.
"The cool thing is that Jonas has written most of the songs. He´s just been in the band for not even a year and already he has all these killer songs. They sound pretty epic and a bit different to what we´ve done in the past. A new strength and energy has been brought into the machine and we haven´t felt this powerful in years.
"We haven´t decided on artwork or title yet but there will be a new vibe concerning the new Army album for sure. We´ve done 3 full length albums with the same cover over and over again and it´s time for a change. It´s time for General Grim to take a rest.
The whole vibe will illustrate a more darker atmoshere as well as lyrics and music.
"Some titles are: Sandman apocalypse, Inside the head of God, How I love to kill you, The pleasures of slavery
"Can´t wait to play some tunes for you! It will slay!!!! Stay tuned for more info."

"I hope you all had a great 2009 and will have an even better 2010.
"2010 will mark the beginning of a new era for us. With a brand new line up we will record a brand new album.
"Yesterday, the 3rd of January we kinda woke up after a couple of months of silence and rest. It has been great to just relax all this time and not thinking of anything else but to recharge the batteries. But at one point you need to get back on track:-)
"We actually went to the rehearsalroom and picked up 2 brand new songs written by Jonas [guitars]. They sound pretty different to what we have done before and they feel great. Time will tell how they will sound with vocals but I have a lot of cool stuff in mind.
We already have like 3-4 songs to work with at the moment so we will definitely be ready to record in a couple of months.
"I hope you will join us on another ride."

We will take it really easy with stuff. Do a couple of on off shows, get a new member and then focus on the fourth album 2010.We are definitely not in a hurry, but when we do come back with new material it will be something special. One Man Army and the Undead Quartet guitarist, Mikael Lagerblad, has left the band. The band comments:
"On the first of April 2009 our longtime friend and bandmember Mikael Lagerblad decided to quit the band. His thoughts has been towards this decision for a while now even though we haven´t seen it coming. But being in this band is of course all about free will. If you don´t feel comfortable in being in a band that plays extreme music and loving every minute of it, then you shouldn´t be in the band. More...
