Below is our complete Nadja news coverage, including columns and articles pertaining to the band. Some articles listed may be indirectly related, such as side projects of the band members, etc.
Essence Music is proud to announce the release of Nadja’s new full-length album "Sv," which is a derived unit used to measure the ionizing radiation on the human body. The 41 minute track can be heard below or picked up at Bandcamp here.
The much follow-up to the dreamgaze masterpiece “Queller” was originally composed to be performed at a pair of music festivals in Berlin and is comprised of a long, single 41-minute track combining Nadja’s layered, textured noise ambiences with polyrhythmic drum patterns that, in structure, approach an industrial sound.
Pounding, punishing machine-like hypnotic pulses, harsh cymbals and caustic textures grow together and collide in a massive metallic maelstrom of fierce doom-dirge heaviness. Featuring the stunning artwork of Seldon Hunt (Neurosis, Earth, Jesu, Isis) and mastered by James Plotkin (Khanate, OLD) “Sv” is set for worldwide release today on limited-edition CD. More...
We're a little late on noticing this one, but Hydrahead is streaming the recent release of Pyramids with Nadja, a massive collaborative effort between Pyramids, Nadja and a number of otherwise established musicians. The instrumentation on this record might be described as an energized ambient, infused with an intelligent ear for avant-garde metal and an almost indiscernible adherence to a sort of pop sensibility. Pyramids with Nadja successfully melds the still unparalleled compositional methodology developed in Pyramids' "s/t" album with Nadja's trademarked dirge-like shoegaze. All members of Pyramids and Nadja perform on all four tracks on the record.
Pyramids with Nadja also features: Simon Raymonde of Cocteau Twins and This Mortal Coil (performs bass on track one and four), Albin Julius of Der Blutharsch (performs vocals on track four), Chris Simpson of Mineral (performs vocals on track two), Colin Marston of Dysrhythmia and Behold the Arctopus (co-produced/engineered track one) and James Plotkin of Khanate, Khlyst, O.L.D. Phantomsmasher (mixed and mastered the entire album). And if that weren't enough, Ulver and Lustmord remixed the track, "Into the Silent Waves," for a limited 12", to be released on Hydra Head early 2010.
You can stream "Pyramids with Nadja" here.
Here's the "Pyramids with Nadja" tracklisting:
1. Into the Silent Waves
2. Another War
3. The Sound of Ice and Grass
4. An Angel Was Heard to Cry Over the City of Rome

"Hey dudes and dudettes! This is a boarding call for all passengers on the flight/bus/train/bicycle bound for the ‘Woo!!! Spring Break ‘92…Let’s Make Some Bad Decisions‘ Tour, your vessel has arrived, it’s time to head out."
"If you’re reading this, then you’ll be pleased to know that we’re either finishing up a last minute rehearsal, packing the van and trailer, or already on the road and well into our journey. All of these things should make you happy, because for the next month we’ll be out with some great friends of ours that we haven’t seen in sometime, and that always makes for a good time. FOXY SHAZAM, KARATE HIGH SCHOOL, and PEACHCAKE are joining us on this tour, and I think that’s a what you can call a ‘really big show.’ In the spirit of Spring Break, it’s safe to assume that we’ll be sauntering around with fruity drinks topped off with cute little parasol toothpicks and looking for a ‘killer foam party,’ so please point us in the right direction, and make sure our glasses are topped off."
