It all began in 1991, the first of an unholy trinity of demos was complete. The young lads knew they had started something dark; something evil; something out of this world. They didn't disappoint with the release of their debut album 'The Principle of Evil Made Flesh' in 1994 on the label Cacophonous. The full length CD was a menagerie of gothic keyboards, metal riffing and Vampyric imagery. In other words the ultimate hammer horror soundtrack.

Drawing from an incredibly infinite list of influences, including the likes of Bathory, Celtic Frost and Diamanda Galas, and also the literary genius of Lord Byron, Sheridan LeFanu, Friedrich Nietzsche, Bram Stoker and Charles Baudelaire, Cradle Of Filth have produced albums of ever increasing quality. Soaring, sonic masterpieces that envelop you and take you away into the darkest depths of the collective Cradle mind. A dreamlike place full of legend, myths and Vampyres.

With 10 years in the past, Cradle Of Filth only have the future to conquer. Their recent concerts have built a fan base they never dreamed of. They truly have withstood the test of time.

Cradle Of Filth Postpones Livestream Show

Vampiric masters of extreme metal, Cradle Of Filth, had been scheduled to perform a live stream concert from St. Mary's Church, Colchester Art Centre, England on the auspicious date of October 30.

It had been promoted as a vicious, delicious, certainly mal-nutritious performance showcasing the band’s new keyboardist and backing singer, as well as a slew of graveyard hits both past, present and possibly future. In short, the ultimate Nightmare before Halloween!

Unfortunately, those plans have come to a screeching halt, as Cradle Of Filth frontman Dani Filth explains: "Due to the ongoing Covid crisis and the uncertainty of travel, we unfortunately need to move the date of our live stream event. With band members residing outside of and throughout the UK, there was a real chance of quarantine or travel issues. The new show date is February 20, 2021. All tickets remain valid and everyone who bought one is automatically entered in to win a custom Cradle Of Filth Midian guitar worth over $2,000. Sorry for any inconvenience, the show will be an epic event not to be missed!”

Cradle Of Filth Announces Livestream Show

Despite the extremely difficult situation for musicians and concerts all over the world, Vampyric Masters of Extreme Metal, Cradle Of Filth, continue to appease their salivating fans by celebrating All Hallow's Eve in style, even in 2020, the official year of the plague.

This time the band, draped around lead singer Dani Filth, take it to the next far-flung tower by announcing a live stream concert from St. Mary's Church, Colchester Art Centre, England for the auspicious date of October, 30th.

Dani Filth states: “As a band Cradle Of Filth are over-the-moon to be performing again and in such an iconic location close to Dani's home county of Suffolk here in England.

"It will be a celebration of not only Halloween and all it’s ghoulish accoutrements, but also of the new Cradle album being completed, a process that helped neutralise the banality of the lockdown, gifting the band with a deadline-free (and thus stress-free) studio session.

"And thus helping make the new album the best the band have written, period. More...

Cradle Of Filth Splits With Keyboardist

It is with a very heavy leaden heart that Cradle Of Filth must announce the mutual departure of keyboardist Lindsay Schoolcraft from amidst the band’s ranks.

Lindsay has been with the band for the last 7 years and in that time has been privy to a massive resurgence both on record and live, with Cradle Of Filth undertaking some of the most prolific touring in the band’s 28-year history, a feat that has indelibly been both (ultimately) rewarding and understandably exhausting at the same time.

This is what Lindsay has to say on the matter…

"Dearest Filthlings,

"It has been an honour and a pleasure to get to know you online, in person, and from the stage the past 7 years. You have made my life fulfilling during this period of time. I am here to inform you that I have left the band. It was a difficult decision to make, but I can assure you it was the best thing to do for my well-being and mental health. I have been doing well on my road to recovery and will continue to be a full-time musician through my other two musical projects.
I want to extend a massive thank you to the band for letting me be part of Cradle of Filth’s legacy for the time I was present. It was an incredible experience and I’m so grateful that we got to share this together.

"I want to send my well wishes to my successor too and I ask you all to please be as warm and welcoming towards them as you were with me so long ago. I hope that some of you will continue to join me on my journey as a composer and singer. The magick and the (black) metal doesn’t end here. Thank you again for all of the love, support, and memories. It will not be forgotten.
All my love and gratitude,
Lindsay Schoolcraft" More...
