Background
Formed in Poland in 1986, it was three years before the band's 'Necrolust' demo saw them attain the attention of the underground, and led to the band's now infamous 'Morbid Reich' cassette release via the Polish Carnage Records, a release which legend has it was one of the biggest selling Death Metal demos/cassettes ever. The band signed to Earache in 1992 and in July of that year Vader recorded their one and only Earache album 'The Ultimate Incantation' with producer Paul Johnson.
Subsequently the band toured Europe with Bolt Thrower and Grave, and also hit the US with Deicide and Suffocation, but then left Earache to puruse a career on many and varied labels, gaining a gretaer reputation with each release for a more intellectual lyrical stance as well as sound based heavily around drummer Doc's amazing blastbeat control. As the band continued churning out album after album, they moved towards their own unique style of death-thrash metal fusion with the landmark releases of 'Litany' and 'Revalations'.

Vader Posts Tour Update
Polish death metal heroes Vader have checked in with the following tour report:
"This is the second report from XXV Anniversary Tour featuring Vader, SEPTIC FLESH, DEVIAN and INACTIVE MESSIAH.
"So far the tour has been going just brilliant! The second week of the trip was very good and most of the venues were overpacked by crazy metalheads, supporting all the bands appearing on the tour in best possible way.
"Over 500 maniacs in London (April 29th) and 280 headbangers in Jumet, Belgium. In Paris over 500 fans again, sold out (!) show in Annecy (483 + guests). Also the other French shows (Notre-Dame-De-Gravenchore and Niort) turned out incredibly well...
"The third week of the tour we spent mostly in Spain and Portugal. Pure madness on both shows in Portugal and amazing Sevilla (350). In Durango, Santander and Almeria we also played pretty cool gigs.
"The tour is going on and the bands seem to be in a better shape from day to day. During those recent 12 shows we gathered over 5,000 fans!!!"
Zonaria Announces European Tour Dates With Vader
Swedish blackened death metal band Zonaria have announced the first dates for their upcoming European tour with Vader and Grave. This marks the third European tour that Zonaria has done in support of their debut album, “Infamy And The Breed,” which was released in September of last year through Pivotal Rockordings.

"On 21st of April in Berlin, war machine Vader kicked off the anniversary tour in Europe. The first week of the tour was nothing but great! The official website of Polish metal legends VADER has been updated with the following:
"Go to www.myspace.com/panzervader and listen to the new version of 'Incarnation' taken from the upcoming anniversary album XXV.
The record will be unleashed at the end of May through Regain Records.
The album was specially recorded for Vader's 25th anniversary and features re-recorded songs from various periods of the band's history. The album was entirely recorded, mixed and mastered at Hertz Studio with the Wies?awscy Bros behind the helm, known from some previous Vader productions such as The Art Of War or Impressions In Blood.
The regular double disc edition of the album will feature 25 songs. Among them famous Vader hits such as 'Carnal', 'Cold Demons', 'Black To The Blind', and you will find one never officially published track 'Tyrani Piekie?', from the very early days of the band.
Special digi-pack edition of XXV will be released with additional DVD disc featuring bonus songs (Polish versions of 'Trupi Jad' and 'Reborn In Flames') and some historical rarities in the form of video footage recorded between 1986-2001.
All the graphics and whole layout of XXV was designed by Jacek Wi?niewski, Polish graphic artist resposible for Black To The Blind, Litany, Revelations and The Beast cover art."
Vader Planning European Tour With Septicflesh
VADER, SEPTICFLESH, ZONARIA and GILLA BRUJA will team up for a European tour between October 17 and November 2. Exact cities and dates will be announced soon.
VADER will play an exclusive show in Egypt on April 11 at La Villa Club in Kair at. Support at the concert will come from local acts WORM and DARK PHILOSOPHY. The show will be organized by Music Gates agency.
Commented Mariusz Kmiolek of the Polish booking agency Massive Music: "That will be definitely an exciting outing, VADER have never played in Egypt and frankly speaking, we feel almost like pioneers trying to put up a death metal flag on a 'no-man's-land.' We have some doubts (concerning safety and gig's organization) but hopefully the organizers of the show will do the best to make this show an unforgettable experience both for the fans and the band. We are going to play a great concert for a great audience and be back home safe and sound."
Two weeks before the Egypt concert, VADER will embark on a tour of South America, playing 10 shows with MARDUK in such countries as Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela.
Nervecell To Support Vader In Egypt
Dubai-based death/thrash metal band NERVECELL has been confirmed as the support act for VADER on April 11 in Cairo, Egypt. This will mark NERVECELL's second appearance in Egypt as the group had previously headlined Egypt Metal Festival in March 2007.

Samael Confirmed For Vader's Anniversary Gig
Samael have confirmed their appearance on Vader's anniversary gig at the Stodola Club in Warsaw on August 30th.
The following message was posted on the official Vader web site:
"This is definitely one of those bands that in the 90's together with VADER were fighting in the name of European metal music scene! It was a pretty long negotiation process but finally we succeeded in inviting SAMAEL to Poland in August! It was my big dream, to see them in Warsaw. Their history many times intersected with VADER's history... I will never forget their fantastic appearance on S'thrash'ydlo festival, many years ago. It was a big thing at that time! I also remember very well our crazy trip to Russia... No Internet, only letters, flyers, demo tapes exchanged by mail... what a time! Besides, I have always been a great fan of this band! (Mariusz Kmiolek - Massive Music). SAMAEL still belong to the metal elite. Their recent studio album "Solar Soul" released in 2007 via Nuclear Blast turned out to be a great success of the band. Perfect at a studio, perfect on live, those great musicians guarantee another great show on VADER's anniversary!"
Vader are currently finishing works on their 25-anniversary album, entitled "XXV." The album will be released at the end of May via Regain Records.

Polish extreme metallers VADER have issued the following update:
"VADER are currently finishing works on their 25-anniversary album. Piotr 'Peter' Wiwczarek (guitars, vocals) did some last corrections here and there and now Wieslawscy brothers (Hertz Studio) are hard at work to transform it into whole thing. We have been waiting quite a long for some intros and other tracks made by Siegmar (VESANIA) but they are ready finally! Only mastering and layout design left to finish the product. The album will be released in the end of May via Regain Records."
Commented Peter: "I may inform you officially about the title of anniversary VADER album, which is 'XXV'... like 25 years of extreme metal!! I can also show to you the cover of the album made by Jacek Wisniewski. The overall style is old VADER, like as well. That's because, what's included... what can I discover at the moment? Total time of the album (or better: double album) in regular version is 96 minutes of total massacre!!!! There will be also special edition with additional 16 minutes, which gives total time 112 minutes (!!!). The other bonus is DVD (yes!!!! The third record!!) with several never-released-before old live shots recorded from VHS tapes!!! I wished to inform you today, just to prepare You for what's coming, which songs from VADER's first album, 'The Ultimate Incantation', were chosen: 'Chaos', 'Vicious Circle', 'Crucified Ones', 'Dark Age' and 'Reign-Carrion'. Vader Announce Anniversary Tour Changes
VADER's booking agent Massive Music has issued the following update:
"There are two minor changes in the schedule of the upcoming European tournee of VADER. On May 29 the tour will hit Slovenian Ljubljana at Gala Hala Metelkova, on May 31 Hungarian Budapest at Avalon. Due to some technical reasons we have been forced to cancel the show in Bulgaria but we will come back to this country as soon as possible! Vader starts off the tour on April 21 in Berlin, ends up on June 7 in Glauchau. The tour contains 45 shows. We are still looking for some locations in the south of France (for May the 15th) and in the south of Germany (May the 27th). During the upcoming tournee Vader promoting their upcoming anniversary release XXV (Regain Records) will be teaming up with re-activated mighty SEPTIC FLESH and new sensation DEVIAN. The opening act for most of the shows will be INACTIVE MESSIAH.
Entombed Confirmed For Vader Anniversary Show
Swedish vulcano ENTOMBED - death metal precursors, creators of a legendary debut Left Hand Path and many other classic records have been announced as another special guest of VADER's anniversary gig in Warsaw, Poland, which is scheduled for August 30th at Stodola Club in Warsaw.

Like the title says ...this is gonna be a very "in Vader tradition-like" record and... but this is secret yet. The album should be in stores in May, 2009."
Vader Frontman Explains New Album Plans
VADER's mainman Peter (vocal, guitars) has answered some questions concerning the band's very successful 2007 and their special plans for 2008...
Q: For Vader, 2007 abounded in many interesting events. Tours, festivals, "The Witcher"... any comments?
A: "Sure. You're right, 2007 was a pretty busy year for Vader... as usual. The whole time we spent being mostly promoting our fresh album Impressions In Blood. Taking part on big and important festivals in summer was also vital for the band. We could show our potential to many thousands of fans sharing the stage with big names. Besides we did successful tours In Japan, Scandinavia and Russia. In the last months of 2007 we played the second part of Blitzkrieg 4 in Poland and the awesome Death By Decibels Tour in the USA. Important events included Vader recording 'Sword of the Witcher' (which was a special song composed for PC RPG game "The Witcher" - that already gained big success in the world) and DVD ...And Blood Was Shed in Warsaw (recording of the live performance in Capitol of Poland). In 2007 we also started recording XXV - Vader's 25th aniversary album."
Q: You are at the end of the recording process of band's anniversary album. Could you give us some more details?
A: "We were recording the album in a few parts - using free time in between the tours. Again the producers were Wieslawski Bros. at Hertz Studios. XXV is a double album including 25 of Vader's hits from early days recorded from scratch. 90% of the entire material are songs from first three albums and mini CDs, realized in between previously never released songs from very beginning of the band. We plan to prepare a special edition of XXV with three additional bonus songs (yes, it gives 28 pieces total!!!) and DVD including never released live clips copied from rare and old VHS tapes. There will be guests appearing as well... Now we are about to finalize mastering and graphics so the album should be out in May, 2008."
Q: New year, new challenges. First and foremost - the band's 25th anniversary!!!! You will appear on anniversary tours in Europe/ USA. There will be also a special, extraordinary gig in Poland...
A: "Yeah, 2008 is a very special year for the band - because it means that Vader has created metal for 25 bloody years already! In 1983 me and Zbiggy "Vika" Wroblewski decided to play extreme metal and... we started Vader!!! So besides the anniversary album we will prepare a special set for the upcoming European Tour in April/ May/ June, when XXV will be available. In the last days of August we're gonna play an extraordinary show in Poland (Warsaw) where our fans can take a part in a two hour concert and follow the story of Vader's music. There will be also some famous guests (and Vader's friends for years) appearing that night. Several surprises may occur. In 2008 we also tour with the Summer Slaughter Fest. In USA in June/ July and in Scandinavia in the fall. Important for Vader is also taking a part in the biggest metal fest in Poland (in March) called Metalmania , where we played back in 1986 on the first edition of that festival..."
Q: You are about to release your new, anniversary DVD? Why?
A: "Yes - we will unleash this special show in Warsaw in August on the DVD. Why? First- because this is 25th aniversary show, which may happen only once and we have prepared a special long set for this evening.The other reason is that we want to record it in a non-standard way, giving our fans a chance to watch not only the set itself BUT also how the band members prepare themselves and... the job of the whole team, that being usually unnoticed work that is pretty hard as well. A stage... but also backstage, sound checks, guitar changes etc."
Q: Any plans for the next full length studio album?

Vader Announce Special 25th Anniversary Show
Death metal legends Vader have issued the following announcement on their official website:
It's going to be the loudest anniversary! 25 years on death metal scene, what a great result! Only few bands were able to survive for so unimaginable period of time. Among them there's a Polish death metal band Vader! Massive Music - band's management and booking agency is going to celebrate this great anniversary with a special concert. The show will take place in Warsaw, at Stodola Club on 30th of August.
"Hopefully the venue will be completely packed this day. There are at least a few good reasons to come to this special show. You will see a bunch of famous metal guests, also bands that in the 80's together with Vader created extreme metal scene. The guest-list we've created is quite impressive. Unfortunately, some of them can't appear on the show due to their other obligations. Some of them are maybe too big to be a part of this, I would say- pretty uncommercial event. That's also why we decided to organize this anniversary at Stodola Club, it will be a show for most dedicated Vader's maniacs. Anyhow, you can expect a great package! First bands confirmed for this show are Grave (Sweden), Nile (US), Rotting Christ (Greece) and Krisiun (Brazil). More special guests of Vader's anniversary gig will be announced soon. Another good reason to come to the show is of course Vader! The band will play over two-hour liveset, presenting songs from old demo tapes as well as Vader's famous hits from recent studio albums. The show will be filmed for an anniversary DVD release tentatively called "XXV" (to be released in 2009).
"This time we can promise you a very special release. We don't want to screw up things as it happened with our latest DVD. To refresh the entire concept of a metal DVD we decided to work with people who have never filmed a metal show. They have a great experience in making videoclips, TV programs, advertisements and other things. Those fresh ideas blended with our visions will guarantee something really special. Exclusively for this day Vader will prepare not only a special live set, but also a special stage design and some other surprises. Devian To Tour With Vader In Spring
Century Media Records reports:
After releasing their vicious debut Ninewinged Serpent on Century Media Records in October 2007, Swedish blackened death/thrash commando DEVIAN - featuring former MARDUK vocalist Legion - are now confirmed to join Polish death metal legends VADER on their 25th anniversary tour, with SEPTIC FLESH and INACTIVE MESSIAH completing the billing. Running from April until June 2008, this tour will be an excellent opportunity for Devian to unleash all their destructive potential onstage and debut for European audiences.
Devian vocalist Legion comments on the tour as follows: “The Devian machine is geared up, deadly and so ready to take our music all over Europe! I’ve shared many a good time with Peter and the Vader boys over the years and we’re gonna raise hell and kick ass in the name of Metal to commemorate this Vader landmark. Fucking hell, 25 years and still going strong… that’s amazing! Real troopers they are!"

Vader Issue Tour Update
VADER have issued the following update:
"We are hard at work to complete the tour schedule of Vader's upcoming XXV-Anniversary Tour 2008 . Only a few dates left to announce the entire list, but they will be confirmed sooner than later! We have already confirmed three gigs in the UK- London, Dublin and Nottingham. A gig in France is moved to Annency, a show in Valencia (Spain) will take place at really beautiful venue called Loco Club. In Italy we play in turn: Milan, Pinarella and Pescara. Two confirmed dates in Austria (Worgl, Graz) and also confirmed venue in Cluj Napoca - Irish Music & Pub. During the upcoming tournee Vader will be teaming up with SEPTIC FLESH, DEVIAN, INACTIVE MESSIAH and local supports.
Masachist Recording Debut Album
Guitarist Thrufel (AZARATH, YATTERING) has issued the following update regarding his MASACHIST project, also featuring Daray (drummer of VADER, VESANIA and NEOLITHIC):
"We are currently recording our debut album 'Death March Fury' at Progresja studio in Warsaw [Poland]. So far we have recorded the drum and guitar parts. As for the drums, I have to say that Daray totaly outdid himself this time. Absolute fury, violence and bone breaking! In his own words, he has never before recorded such insane drum lines, and I must add that this album will once again prove that he truly deserves to wear that black belt of extreme drumming!!! I have played with many amazing drummers, including Zombek (YATTERING), Inferno and recently Adam from LOST SOUL (awesome death metal band), but fuck! Right now Daray is simply the best!
