Background
Formed in Poland in 1986, it was three years before the band's 'Necrolust' demo saw them attain the attention of the underground, and led to the band's now infamous 'Morbid Reich' cassette release via the Polish Carnage Records, a release which legend has it was one of the biggest selling Death Metal demos/cassettes ever. The band signed to Earache in 1992 and in July of that year Vader recorded their one and only Earache album 'The Ultimate Incantation' with producer Paul Johnson.
Subsequently the band toured Europe with Bolt Thrower and Grave, and also hit the US with Deicide and Suffocation, but then left Earache to puruse a career on many and varied labels, gaining a gretaer reputation with each release for a more intellectual lyrical stance as well as sound based heavily around drummer Doc's amazing blastbeat control. As the band continued churning out album after album, they moved towards their own unique style of death-thrash metal fusion with the landmark releases of 'Litany' and 'Revalations'.

UK Death Fest Announces Final Line Up

Vader Signs to Nuclear Blast
Nuclear Blast has just announced they have signed Polish death metal band Vader to their roster. With a completely renewed lineup, Vader plans to release their first Nuclear Blast album this summer, titled "Necropolis." Says guitarist Peter,
"This is absolutely amazing, that VADER is now a part of NUCLEAR BLAST Family!!! Can't find words how proud we are !!! Only great things may happen when traditions meet together... I so much believe that VADER will give one more BLAST to this NUCLEAR history of Metal !!!! Lets start the fire."

God Seed To Play Hellfest Open Air Festival 2009
God Seed, the band featuring former Gorgoroth members Gaahl and King Ov Hell, has been confirmed to play at the 2009 Hellfest Open Air Festival. The festival will take place in Clisson, France on June 19 - 21.
Other bands confirmed for the festival include Motley Crue, Heaven and Hell, Anthrax, Entombed, Samael, Pig Destroyer, Vader, Manowar, Dream Theater, Amon Amarth, Mastodon, Stratavarious, Dragonforce, and Pain of Salvation.
Vader Issues "Necropolis" Recording Update
Polish death metallers Vader have issued the following update about the recording of their new album "Necropolis:"
"Hi Everybody!!!! Greetings from Hertz Studios!!!! We just finished first week of recordings! 11 drum tracks chosen for the upcoming album "Necropolis" are done. 9 of them will be available on every standard edition. Two of the songs we're gonna keep as bonuses or to play on VADERs official MySpace site...yet in Summer time. Wanna know any titles? Here we go: "Anger", "Dark Heart", "When We Arrive", "Devilized" or "We Are Horde...". There will be also new versions of "Rise Of The Undead" and "Impure" included. "Necropolis" is kinda mix of the atmosphere of "De Profundis" album and aggression known from "Litany"...We recorded tracks which are even more brutal. Here You will find some pictures taken last week in Hertz Studios during drum session. The new video rapport called "Secrets of the Force" will be available too. The progress of recordings, more pics and next part of video rapport will be set on VADERs MySpace soon. STAY VADERIZED!!!!!"
Vader And Marduk Announce European Tour
Polish death metal legends Vader has announced that they will be doing a two month tour of Europe beginning at the end of September along with black metal group Marduk. More bands will be added to the bill nearer the time and tour dates will be revealed shortly.
Vader Streaming New Song "Impure" Online
Polish death metal band Vader are currently streaming the new song "Impure" on their official MySpace page. The band has issued the following statement about the track:
"Vadermaniacs!!! As You were promissed-here is our next track recorded as pre-product In December 2008 in Hertz Studios. This time VADER not as "typical" as on "Rise Of The Undead"... Yet in this week we enter the studio to start recording the tracks for the upcoming "Necopolis". As I mentioned before-we will inform You about the progress in the studio. Davidian On Maroon Release, Hardline Therapy Fest
DAVIDIAN has been confirmed to support MAROON at their CD release show on 25th April in Stuttgart, Germany. They're also confirmed as co-headliner for the Czech extreme metal festival "Hardline Therapy" with bands VADER, BORN FROM PAIN, HOLLENTHON, HATE and more.
Dimmu Borgir's Daray Awarded "Top Drummer"
DIMMU BORGIR/ex-VADER drummer Dariusz "Daray" Brzozowski took first place in the "Rock Metal" category in Poland's largest drum magazine, Top Drummer.
Daray played his final concert with VADER on August 30, 2008 as part of the band's 25-year anniversary show at Stodola Club in Warsaw, Poland. The gig, which was sold out, also featured performances from GRAVE, ROTTING CHRIST, DISMEMBER, GOREFEST, MARDUK, NILE, ENTOMBED and SAMAEL.
In a late 2008 interview with Metal-Rules.com, DIMMU BORGIR guitarist Silenoz was asked how he would you rank Daray against all the other drummers the Norwegian black metal band has worked with over the years. "I would say that he is the most steady and consistent drummer I've ever played with, no matter what," he replied. "He's extremely reliable, hard-working, determined and he really, really pushes himself, you know? Even if he plays a really killer show and the rest of us have nothing to complain about, he still is not happy. It's not good enough. That's the attitude we need, you know? After all, the drummer is the engine in the band and you won't get anywhere if you only have oil and gas…you need the engine to work too…so… he's awesome."

Polish death metal band Vader has issued the following statement about a string of European summer festival appearances:
"VADER have already confirmed the appearance on some European summer festivals (see the dates below). That's gonna be a great opportunity to see the band on stage just before the new album release. The unstoppable Polish panzertank will definitely hit you with some new songs from the upcoming CD "Necropolis". Vader Reveals New Album Title, New Song Online
Polish death metal legends Vader has revealed their new album title and posted a new song online for a free download. A posting from the band reds as follows: "In the middle of March, Vader will enter Hertz Studio in Bialystok, Poland to begin recording session of band's next studio album, entitled Necropolis.
"All the tracks will be recorded at Hertz and engineered by Wieslawski Bros. Tue Madsen (who previously worked with such bands as MOONSPELL, CATARACT, HEAVEN SHALL BURN and many more...) will mix the album at his famous Antfarm Studios in Denmark.

Cannibal Corpse Wins "Greatest Death Metal Song"
Death metal legends Cannibal Corpse has won the award of "Greatest Death Metal Song Of All Time" for their staple track, "Hammer Smashed Face" in a poll on the German website Metal-Hammer.de. In second place was Swedish act Arch Enemy with their song, "We Will Rise" and third place was given to Death for the song "Crystal Mountain."

Order Of Ennead Issues Tour Road Report
Floridian extreme metallers Order of Ennead who have just reached the end of the Winterfest 2009 tour with Deicide, Samael, Vader, Devian and The Amenta, have posted a diary report chronicling the first week of the tour.
ORDER OF ENNEAD vocalist/guitarist KEVIN QUIRION writes:
"Day 1 013 Tilburg
Arrived at the airport on January 8th and quickly got into the bus and headed two hours to Tilburg. Within a couple hours of being at the venue it was time to go on. After party was pretty intense with meeting everyone and settling in. Show went well. Man those Polish dudes in Vader can drink.
Day 2 Haarlem Patronaat
Drove to Haarlem. John Lie and myself got up early and checked out an old cathedral. The new drummer of Arsis, Dave Kinkade, came to the show and we hung out. Show went very well and we were sounding tight. That warm up show in Tampa really paid off. Hanging out with the guys in the Amenta a lot and also talking to Legion from Devian, great guy. Ralph Santolla uses every chance to give John Li hell. It's hilarious. More...
Chainsaw To Return With New Album
Chainsaw, one of the best bands on Polish melodic thrash metal scene, returns with a brand new album entitled “Evilution.” The new LP is a concept album due to the lyrical content, written by a native Scotsman, Alex Summers. It consists of ten rather dark and gruesome tales - Celtic legends telling stories of half-human and half-animal creatures, paranormal activities, supernatural powers and the evolution of evil and magic that took place in Scotland throughout the centuries. The first recording session took place in mid 2008 at Studio X in Olsztyn, Poland with the following guests: Tytus (vocals), best known from Acid Drinkers, and Mauser (guitar), an ex-member of Vader, currently involved in his project UnSun.
Chainsaw’s current line-up consists of Maciej “Maxx” Koczorowski (vocals), Jarek Gajczuk-Zawadzki (guitars), Arek “Rygiel” Rygielski (guitars), Sebastian Górski (drums), and Marek Jerchewicz (bass).
“Evilution” will be released by Metal Mind Productions on 23rd February in Europe and 7th April in USA (via MVD). More info will follow soon.
