Empyrium Announces DVD Release

Prophecy Productions has checked in with the following announcement about releasing a DVD from Empyrium:

"June 11th, 2011, was a landmark date in Empyrium's history. After more than 15 years, Schwadorf and Helm played their very first show ever on that day, taking place at the Wave Gotik Treffen in the Pantheon of Volkspalast Leipzig.

"For this memorable event, the two core members put together an illustrious concert line-up, consisting of Konstanz (The Vision Bleak), Neige (Alcest), Eviga (Dornenreich), Fursy Teyssier (Les Discrets), Aline Deinert (Neun Welten) and Christoph Kutzer (Remember Twilight), who had rehearsed pieces from every creative phase of Empyrium as well as the new, so-far unreleased song 'Dead Winter Ways.'

"The show, which lasted about 70 minutes, was captured in sound and vision to be released now as an audio-CD and BluRay/DVD. This magical world premiere, recorded in high-resolution HD video and stereo, respectively 5.1 surround sound, constitutes the heart of 'Into The Pantheon.'

"In addition to the concert, a documentary of more than 100 minutes provides a detailed and exhaustive account on the band's past by means of interviews with Schwadorf, Helm and the live musicians. Therefore, 'Into The Pantheon' is not only a must for fans, but also serves as an ideal introduction for everybody who wants to get a comprehensive overview of Empyrium."

"Since the rumours start to spread we think it's about time to make this official: Empyrium is alive again! The spirit is back and it really feels right to us to start writing songs with Empyrium again. We are not in a rush though so don't expect a full length today or tomorrow but we have the patience and faith to make this new songs outstanding and unique. Just as Empyrium ever was...."

The Vision Bleak Begin Recording

German gothic metal band THE VISION BLEAK, formed by members of the late and almighty EMPYRIUM, have entered the studio to record their sophomore album. If interested, go to studioe.de to download two movies of the drumrecording sessions. Here's what they say:

THE VISION BLEAK just entered Klangschmiede Studio E to record the successor of their highly acclaimed debut album "The Deathship Has A New Captain"! According to the captains their new material is darker, heavier, more raw and riff-oriented, still capturing the atmosphere of death, doom and horror supremely! There will be more sinister orchestral and classical choir passages in their songs, which will be performed by "The Shadow Philharmonics" exclusively. Lyrically expect a concept album exploring wicked myths and legends from different cultures that are melt into one dramatic poem.

Check www.studioe.de from time to time to download short making of clips and get your news how the recording developes.
