Australia’s own 4Arm, which recently posted a music video online for the song "Raise A Fist," will join the Bay Area Metal Festival in Oakland, California on Saturday July 28th. The following press release was issued:
"This will be the band's first tour outside their home country and what better way to give the US audience their first taste of the band's recently released album 'Submission For Liberty' then to be a part of a festival in the place where 'thrash metal' began!!
"During the 1980s and early 1990s, the Bay Area was home to one of the largest and most influential thrash metal scenes in the world, containing acts like Metallica, Exodus, Death Angel, Vio-lence, Forbidden, Testament and Machine Head. More US shows to be announced by the band in the next few weeks." More...
The well-oiled modern metal machine that is Modesto, CA's Better Left Unsaid is in motion and preparing to record and release a new, self-titled album. Better Left Unsaid is entering Sharkbite Studios (Machine Head, Roadrunner United, Exodus) this Spring with engineer/producer Ryan Massey at the dials. The band's third album is set for release on July 31st, 2012 and will be followed by extensive touring.
"I think we've found our sound on this album," comments BLU guitarist Greg Fender. "The process this time around has been very smooth and natural, with everything sort of falling into place with very little effort. We poured a lot of the frustration from past growing pains and long touring into the new material and the result has been something darker, more raw, and most importantly more for ourselves than anyone else."
This album comes on the heels of 2010's "Only The Dead To Witness" (Static Age Records). A video for the song "To The Last Man" was also produced, and can be viewed here. New tracks, studio updates, and tour announcements can be expected from the band in the coming months. For more information, fans can visit the band's website.
Modesto, California's Better Left Unsaid is currently on the Hed To Head Tour II supporting Hed(pe) and Mushroomhead and has provided Metalunderground.com with an exclusive tour blog from the road:
I am sure you are ready for one hell of a tour blog from a little known metal band from Modesto, California… Hell, most of you have no idea who we are, much less the town we are from! That being said, I am going to give this a shot…
We, Better Left Unsaid, have been on the Hed To Head Tour II for the past month and are 30 days from even coming close to home. The tour, sponsored by Jagermeister and co-headlined by Mushroomhead and HedPE has taken us across the country and does not let up until we end back in LA on June 10th. I am actually writing you from a shitty hotel room in Allentown, Pennsylvania on a much needed day off. The shittier the room, the better, because it just adds to the stories we all tell our friends when we get back home. No worries Allentown, we have stayed in plenty of shitty hotels along this tour, and even shadier truck stops and parking lots. So no hard feelings…
The tour has taken us across America and has been nothing short of amazing. We have had the opportunity to play venues and cities that we have only dreamed of until now. Not to mention the guys in Mushroomhead and HedPE have been great and we can’t thank them enough for making us a part of this tour! We have played for sold out crowds, and we have also played for crowds better fit for a funeral, but we are not going to mention any names to protect the innocent ;) We can tell you this, most of the crowds have been absolutely insane and we can’t thank them enough for making each night worthwhile. Having fans of both Mushroomhead and HedPE embrace your music is gratifying on many levels and we appreciate all the love and support!
Make sure you check out the tour dates on our website www.betterleftunsaidmusic.com, and if you have the time and money, come out to a show! See you on the road... - Better Left Unsaid
We recently caught up with the band on the road and spoke to drummer Brent Terry. You can read that interview here.

"I am very pleased and honored to be a part of the Better Left Unsaid family. I have nothing but the up most respect the guys and have always been a fan of the band and it's accomplishments to date. The future for this band is even brighter and I can't express how happy I am to be a part of it. I look forward to coming into this band swinging and ripping up the Hed 2 Head II tour and showing the country what we are made of! I can't be thankful enough for this opportunity and I can't wait to share the stage with these guys!
Front man Adam Raffety gave his thoughts about the group's upcoming tour:
"I am overly excited for the upcoming Hed to Head Tour! To be sharing the same stage as the guys in HED P.E. and Mushroomhead on a nightly basis, not to mention having the ability to mingle and shake hands with both old fans and new is an amazing opportunity for us. It's very humbling to have the ability to see the fans in each town, night after night while doing what we love."
