The third annual Defenders of the Old Fest, which will be held from March 13-14, 2015 at the Bell House in Brooklyn, has added a third day for Sunday, March 15th featuring Sweden's Nifelheim and Kansas City's Ares Kingdom, plus two more acts to be announced.
The main festival will see headline performances from Riot (n/k/a Riot V) (on Friday, March 13th) and Canadian legends Exciter (back with the original lineup featuring drummer/vocalist Dan Beehler) (on Saturday, March 14th).

With the band's 30 year anniversary looming, founding Aggression guitarist Denis "Sasquatch" Barthe handpicked the players around him to breathe life back into the 80's thrashers for a reformation at the 2015 edition of Defenders of The Old Festival in Brooklyn, NY on March 13th and 14th.
Aggression's lineup will feature vocalist Brian Langley from Toronto thrash metal legends Infernal Majesty, bassist Darin Wall, and guitarist Dave Watson from Vancouver thrash powerhouse Entropia, plus drum maniac Ryan Murray Idris from Expain.
"I always knew that Aggression would come back someday. Life issues kept getting in the way and I moved around a bit. I ran into these musicians and knew they could really pull it off. It's been a long stretch since 1989, but finally it's happening." comments original founding Aggression guitarist Denis 'Sasquatch' Barthe.
This will be Aggression's first show since 2005, where the band reunited at the Montreal Metal Massacre fest and unleashed the un-released 1986 album "Forgotten Skeleton." More...

Canadian metal band CRADLE TO GRAVE has commenced work on their third studio album and follow-up to 2007’s "Texas Medicine." The band featuring Denis "Sasquatch" Barthe of Aggression and Matt Fowler of Assault/Karrion just completed pre-production with producer Clay Haluk (Infernal Majesty, Aggression) and has now entered Screen Machine Studios in Vancouver, BC. The new CRADLE TO GRAVE album is slated for an early 2010 release via Year of the Sun Records.
“Pre-production sessions for the new record were awesome!” states CRADLE TO GRAVE new bass player/singer Demon Mason. “It gave us the opportunity to make our material a little bit more in line with what Venom did with Welcome To Hell and Black Metal. We can't believe how this band sounds now and we are anxious to show it to the world. Oh and by the way, evil has no boundaries.”
Spanish thrash metal band, AGGRESSION, has announced that their debut album with XTREEM MUSIC is nearing completion and will be entitled "MoshPirit." Cover artwork can be seen here.
"MoshPirit" features 9 tracks, five of which are being rerecorded from the band's debut MCD called "Thrashing Your Brain." The debut album will be recorded in Barcelona, at Axtudios by Mr Ax, and the mix & mastering of the album will be handled by Erik Monsonis.

XTREEM MUSIC has announced the signing of Spanish old school thrash metal newcomers AGGRESSION!! The recent release of their debut mini CD, "Thrashing Your Brain," took the Spanish scene by storm and shows a killer band that has something great to offer in the future. This 6-songs EP was recorded at AXtudios which secured them a superb production and this immediately gained the attention from XTREEM MUSIC who immediately offered them a 2-album deal.
AGGRESSION is now writing new songs for what will be their debut full lentgh album scheduled for a late 2008 release.

Legendary Voivod frontman Denis "Snake" Belanger has announced the first shows with his new band Paranoland. The group also boasts Aggression bassist Botcher and Groovy Aardvark guitarist Frank Legendre. The planned dates will take place on May 31 at Bar le Syndrome in Montreal, Quebec and Jun. 14 at Cafe Chaos, also in Montreal, Quebec.
