Nashville Pussy's Rolling Party Rolls and Parties!
The fantastically named band Nashville Pussy likes to be on tour. So much so that they must have spent at least twice as many nights on the road as they have at home since they began playing their dirty, bluesy rock back in 1996. Out on their most recent tour, the “Parental Advisory Tour,” along with comedy rock/metal outfits Green Jello and Psychostick, Nashville Pussy is bringing their rolling party to a club near you! Parental Advisory Tour Dates and Lineup Announced
Underground comedy/metal band Psychostick has announced that they will take part in the Parental Advisory Tour with Green Jelly and Nashville Pussy. The tour kicks off in Orlando, FL, on March 25th and will run through June 7th.
“Our fans have been suggesting a tour with Green Jelly since forever,” says Psychostick vocalist Rob “Rawrb” Kersey. “Having Nashville Pussy headline the whole thing will only make this tour even better. We’re looking forward to the run and think our fans will really dig it.”
This tour marks the debut of Psychostick’s new bassist, Matt Kyzmeck. “Billy Rymer, the drummer from Dillinger Escape Plan, recommended Matt to us,” says Psychostick drummer Alex Preiss. “He [Matt] passed with flying colors and we're very excited to bring him aboard!” Former bassist Jimmy Grant left Psychostick in December 2009 for undisclosed reasons.
Best known for the song “Beer Is Good…. And Stuff,” Psychostick spent much of 2009 on tour promoting their latest album, “Sandwich.” The band released a video for “Girl Directions” in December 2009. Motorhead Announces More Tour Dates

Nashville Pussy Tour Bus Catches Fire
Nashville Pussy recently experienced some drama on their tour bus in Europe. A tour diary from guitarist Ruyter Suys reads as follows: "Okay!! Day motherfucking one! Yee haw! Back in Europe, back in France!! Kick ass show in Strasbourg. Stellar audience! The Supersuckers rock, but have to cut their set short so Dan Bolton can go back to the airport to go through customs to get his luggage that the airline has lost. You would think the rock gods had their fun? No! We fall asleep on the bus to the whiskey laden dreams that is our vocation only to be awoken to the tune of 'FIRE!!! Everyone grab your passports and get off the bus!' We follow suit. Stood on the side of the road, somewhere between France and Switzerland watching the billows of smoke churn out the rear end of our fancy new bus. Luckily there was no actual flames, but enough smoking to cause us to stop tout de suit!
"A tourist bus full of children stopped for our sorry asses and kindly decided to drive us as far as the Swiss border where now, we wait. For what? We don't really know. A new bus has been dispached to transport our gear and hopefully pick us up as well, untill then Nashville Pussy has taken up residence at the French/Swiss border and will be sleeping on the curb until we are admited into the country, with guitars and vehicle. We remain, rocking, though mostly in spirit. A slightly smoke scented spirit, but rocking none the less! Excelsior! More...
Nashville Pussy Begin Recording New Album
Atlanta's NASHVILLE PUSSY has issued the following update:
"So, we made it down to Austin to record our new album! We're out at Willie Nelson's studio layin' down some rockin tracks! The crew at the studio really know their shit and everything's sounding huge! It's beautiful out here and despite how hard we're working, rather relaxing. We're staying right on a lake and we've also seen a bunch of wildlife just in the two days we've been here; deer, owls, vultures, rabbits, opposums, and other vermin! It's nice to be somewhat isolated from the city so we can really focus and make a bad-ass record. ANOTHER bad-ass record, I mean. And...don't forget, girls and boys, that we're hitting the road in a couple weeks when we're done layin down some tracks. Coming to a city near you!"

Nashville Pussy Signs With Spitfire Records
Nominated for a Grammy for Best Metal Performance in 1999 for "Fried Chicken And Coffee" from their debut release "Let Them Eat Pussy," Spitfire Records proudly announces it has signed Nashville Pussy to an exclusive recording deal for North America.
Taking their name from the intro to the Double Live Gonzo version of Ted Nugent's "Wang Dang Sweet Poontang," the band's current line-up features: Kentucky born singer/guitarist Blaine Cartwright (formerly of 9 Pound Hammer) - lead guitarist and Vancouver BC transplant, Ruyter Suys (pronounced Rider Sighs) - drummer, Austin, Texas transplant Jeremy Thompson (a.k.a. "Remo") and new addition Karen Cuda on bass and supporting vocals hailing from Denver Colorado.
Since founding the band in 1996 - the husband and wife guitar team of Cartwright and Suys pursued their vision until it became reality.
"We were sick of seeing bands that sucked, so we decided to make the kind of band that we wanted to see," says Suys.
Straight off the blocks - Nashville Pussy was positively infamous for their ferocious, take-no-prisoners live shows - and immediately the most talked about band in the country. Nashville Pussy was soon the object of a heated bidding war between the majors and band's debut "Let Them Eat Pussy" earned them a Grammy nomination and slot on the Marilyn Manson tour.
Blaine Cartwright says about the new CD "It's like the return of Nashville Pussy. We put some of the sleaze and glam back in, only better. It's a good-time rock & roll record. We've always been in that situation where we had to keep everything going, touring, rehearsals, and writing. This time we've taken the time and reloaded. I want to get back to kicking ass in America , 'cause America needs it's ass kicked."
