Canadian metal band Thine Eyes Bleed has issued the following update:
"First and foremost we are still a band and have not called it a day. Our biggest task in doing this was to once again find the right 5th man. We have had a rotating guitarist for far too long. Don't get me wrong we have been fortunate in having some talented people fill the slot. When we began putting the wheels back on the truck, so to speak, we made the decision to find someone closer to home, both musically and regionally."
"Jimmy Reid will always be our brother. We love and miss him and have nothing but respect for him. That being said we have found someone else to fill the void. With that we welcome Nigel Curley (Excruciating Thoughts, Ataxia) into the mix. We been jamming with Nigel for the past few months and working on new stuff. We have a bunch of new material ready to go." More...

Montreal based 3 Mile Scream have streamed the group's debut album, A Prelude To Our Demise, online here.
3 Mile Scream's debut album was recorded in Montreal under the watchful eye of producer Jean-Francois Dagenais, guitarist for death metal giants Kataklysm. Since the album release, 3 Mile Scream has won over many high profile fans including Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe, Unearth’s Trevor Phipps and Arch Enemy’s Michael Amott who described the band as, "Heavy and melodic, great chops."
3 Mile Scream’s A Prelude To Our Demise, was released by Corporate Punishment Records. The album is a stunning blend of European metal, melody and machine gun drumming that creates a merciless, brutal sound.
The group has recently announced more tour dates in support of their debut album, including an upcoming October 14th date in Belleville, Ontario where the band has been added as direct support for Thine Eyes Bleed.
"Thine Eyes Bleed are one of the best Canadian metal acts on the scene. We are extremely excited and honored to share the stage with a band of such unrelenting aggression," says 3 Mile Scream frontman Matt McGa chy. Canadian thrashers THINE EYES BLEED, who will release their sophomore release on The End Records on March 4th, 2008, have added more tour dates to their upcoming tour of across Canada and the United States.
Says singer Justin Wolfe, "We will be heading out on a small headline run through Canada and parts of the USA for October/November to start things up! We plan to debut our new material and have a good fuckin' time!! We are bringing along some great bands, come on down and here some good ol' heavy metal! Keep checkin' back for more dates."
About the new album, a few of the bandmembers have commented:
"This ain't your one-note-chug-along and dance to-gay-haircut metal. There is thought behind the music and passion behind the musicianship. Metal that isn't compromising or commercial. This is the real deal. All killer and no filler... no singing... no 'breakdowns'. Real metal for real metalers. Keep it brutal and stay heavy." - Johnny Araya, bassist
"We never really discussed the direction. We all just knew it had be honest, unrellenting, abusive, and evil. That is what metal was all about in our opinion. The outcome is violent and makes me smile from begining to end." - Jeff Phillips, guitarist
"We never set any direction for this album, we did it for ourselves... It's a much more focused album than our debut and it's going to show. It's an in your face metal album for the true metalheads out there.. the only way I can describe it is pure evil..." - Justin Wolfe, singer
The band re-released their 2005 debut for The End, entitled 'In The Wake Of Separation', in May of 2006. The CD included the bonus track 'Better off Dead' (previously available only in Japan) and the video for 'Cold Victim'. Also last year, the band took part in the mega-successful North American and European legs of the 2006 Unholy Alliance Tour, which featured SLAYER, CHILDREN OF BODOM, MASTODON and LAMB OF GOD.

Hailed as "the heaviest, darkest metal tour of the summer, if not the year," the "Unholy Alliance Tour: Preaching to the Perverted" stomped and screamed around the globe last year. On October 30, just in time for Halloween, the Unholy Alliance Tour DVD package will be released (American Recordings) and will feature the tour's lineup - headliner SLAYER, the undisputed kings of speed metal/thrash, and the "future of heavy metal contenders" - LAMB OF GOD, MASTODON, CHILDREN OF BODOM and THINE EYES BLEED. The DVD will have an approximate running time of 90 minutes.
The Unholy Alliance Tour DVD was shot at Vancouver's General Motors Place on July 13, 2006, was directed by Adam Rothlein (Speedway Films), and boasts performance footage plus bonus material to include backstage, behind-the-scenes and one-on-one interviews, many of which were conducted by the Unholy Alliance artists themselves.
Unholy Alliance Tour DVD track listing:
Slayer - 'South Of Heaven', 'Silent Scream', 'Blood Red', 'Cult'/'Chemical Warfare', 'Eyes Of The Insane', 'Dead Skin Mask',
'Hell Awaits', 'Antichrist'.
Mastodon -'Crystal Skull', 'Capillarian Crest', 'Blood And Thunder'.
Lamb Of God - 'Vigil'.
Children Of Bodom - 'Angels Don't Kill', 'In Your Face'.
Thine Eyes Bleed - 'Dark White'.
SLAYER has compiled footage from last year's Unholy Alliance Tour with LAMB OF GOD and MASTODON for a DVD that will be released on October 30 via American Recordings. Directed by Adam Rothlein (Speedway Films), "Unholy Alliance Tour" captures the July 13, 2006, stop in Vancouver, British Columbia, and also includes footage of the other two acts on the bill, CHILDREN OF BODOM and THINE EYES BLEED. Behind-the-scenes clips and interviews, many of which were conducted by the bandmembers, round out the set.
SLAYER's concert at the San Diego Sports Arena on Saturday, August 25, 2007 was streamed live on YeboTV, a next-generation web-based TV network.
The San Diego concert was a stop on SLAYER's current North American co-headline trek with MARILYN MANSON and is in support of the release of SLAYER's "Christ Illusion, Special Limited Edition" (American Recordings) CD/DVD which hit stores in U.S. and globally on July 24.
SLAYER's "Christ Illusion" reissue contains the previously unreleased cut "The Final Six", as well as an alternate version of "Black Serenade". It also boasts a bonus DVD called "Slayer on Tour '07" which includes the "Eyes of the Insane" video; a live rendition of the band's 1988 LP track "South of Heaven" that was shot in Vancouver, British Columbia, on last year's "Unholy Alliance" run; and a behind-the-scenes, five-minute documentary-style montage of footage shot earlier this year when the band performed in Florida and Australia.
A brand new THINE EYES BLEED song, recorded live in Sweden last fall during the European leg of SLAYER's "Unholy Alliance Tour: Preaching to the Perverted" tour (where THINE EYES BLEED was the opening act), has been posted on the band's MySpace page. Check out the track "The Dragon" at this location.
THINE EYES BLEED — who feature in their ranks former KITTIE guitarist/technician Jeff Phillips and bassist Johnny Araya (brother of SLAYER's Tom Araya — entered Beach Road Studio in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada on March 11, 2007 with producer Seigfried Meier to commence work on their sophomore album.
Thine Eyes Bleed have started working on their next album. "We are now a few days into the drums and they sound amazing," the band said in a statement. "The tracking room is nice and spacious with high ceilings and pine walls creating great acoustics. [Drummer] Darryl [Stephens] has been shredding his drum tracks so far, letting us know this is gonna be some brutal sh--. As for the rest of us, 'Guitar Hero' has been the main focus so far, enhancing our hand-eye coordination." No word yet on when the LP might see the light of day.
The "Funeral For Yesterday Tour" featuring Kittie and Walls of Jericho, the trek has been extended through April and May. Support on these dates will be provided by In This Moment, Neurosonic, and I Killed The Prom Queen. More dates will be released, but here is the first batch of confirmed dates:

About the upcoming shows, frontman Justin Wolfe comments, “We have also just recently been added to a few Canadian dates with Slayer again in February, one being in our hometown of London Ont. It's going to great to see the guys again. You can never get enough Slayer.” The band recently returned from a month long tour of Europe as part of the Unholy A! lliance Chapter II: Preaching To The Perverted (Slayer, In Flames, Lamb of God, Children Of Bodom). “We just got back from the Unholy Alliance Tour in Europe. The shows were through the roof, the fans were insane, everything you'd expect from European crowds, really,” says the singer. “We were very happy with the response being over there for the first time. We seemed to win the crowd over night after night and making many new fans overseas. The bands, the crews, everyone worked together and made the tour not only a huge success but a really good time!
