Panic, who recently reunited, will release a discography CD in spring 2006. The release is entitled "Strength In Solitude" and will consist of the group's 2001 demo, "Dying For It" EP, self-titled EP, and a live version of one unrecorded track. Meanwhile, the band have entered a New York City recording studio to track six songs for their upcoming Reflections Records release, due out this winter.
While playing a reunion show at last year's Arnhem Hardcore Meeting, Boston hardcore outfit Panic apparently had a good time and are now writing material for a new CDep/7". The current line-up includes Azy, Gibby, Masek, Damian, and new drummer, Q. According to Azy, "I just want to make clear that we are back out of a desire to shred, not because we have some self-important agenda or egos that need feeding..." The group will record five new songs this winter, and the release will hit streets via Reflections Records in early-2006.
After a succesful first hardcore-festival in the spring of 2004, which was part of the 20th anniversary of the legendary Goudvishal, Reflections Records has teamed up again with the venue and decided to go for a second edition. Confirmed bands include: Converge, Planes Mistaken For Stars, Eighteen Visions, Hopesfall, Razor Crusade, Panic (exclusive reunion show!), Good Clean Fun (their only European show in 2005), Sex Positions, No Turning Back, and Strike First. More bands will be confirmed in the next couple of days.
The festival, which takes place on Saturday the 26th of March at the Musis Sacrum in Arnhem (which was also the home of our first edition), will feature 15 bands, 2 stages. A special website for the festival www.arnhemhardcoremeeting.nl will be launched January 21. In the meantime also check the venue's website www.goudvishal.nl.
