The group comments: "Blinded Colony wishes Denny the best of luck with his future endeavors and salutes the good times we had with him not only as a band member but as a good friend. With one man short Blinded Colony is looking for a new frontman! You should be a professional and charismatic singer who's got to be 100% commited and be able to tour. If you think that you got what it takes, then please send us a mail with some info about you, a pic and a sample of your singing (MP3, Youtube link etc) to email@example.com."

It was originally recorded in late 2005, but re-edited once again by Thomas Tjäder (IN FLAMES). Some of you may have seen the old version of the video with 'demo' version of 'Once Bitten, Twice Shy', but we encourage you to not watch that one since it is now outdated. Check out the new one, spread it to your friends, and enjoy it!" More...
The sophomore release from Sweden’s BLINDED COLONY, “Bedtime Prayers” has been pushed to January 9th Worldwide and January 12th in Europe. Swedish melodic death metal band Blinded Colony are currently putting the finishing touches on their upcoming album, "Bedtime Prayers" which is to be released November 10 in Europe and November 14 Worldwide. Vocalist Johan Schuter writes from SoundPalace Studios:
"Hey! This is Johan Schuster writing from the house next to the studio. Finally my throat feels a lot better, and any day now I will do the last scream of the record. I had a 7 days break from recording since my voice got really hoarse, and that really paid off well. Got really scared when I heard of a friend that had the same symptoms and had to use surgery to have a cyst removed from his vocal chords. In worst case, if I had continued screaming, I might have had to rest my voice for months, which means no gigs. So better safe than sorry.
"Now all the songs have come together and sound really, really good. I can't fucking wait to let all you people listen to it. The response you guys gave us when we had the pre-production of "Heart" online for 36 hours was incredible! If you liked that, then the rest of the songs won't dissapoint you! For those of you who didn't like "Heart" we got some really heavy tunes on the album too. We're not that cheesy all the time hahaha! For all of you who lives in Germany, our neighbours with sooo cheap beer, we've got gigs confirmed in December with Ektomorf. That will really kick some major ass!
"In November your ears will bleed but your mouth will smile! Don't miss our album, Bedtime Prayers!"
Blinded Colony will take part in several upcoming gigs:
October 13 Gothenburg, Sweden @ Belsepub (W/ Sonic Syndicate)
December 14 Muenchen (Munich), Germany @ Metropolis (W/Ektomorf)
December 15 Adelsheim, Germany @ Live Factory (W/ Ektomorf)
Pivotal Rockordings also plans host a special listening party for the American fans in Chicago. More details on the listening party will be announced as the release date approaches.
As previously announced, Blinded Colony has posted a new MP3 of a pre-production version of the song "In Here from their upcoming album "Bedtime Prayers." "Bedtime Prayers" is due out on November 10 in Europe and November 14 in the USA.
You can also check out the cover artwork for "Bedtime Prayers" (created by Davide Nadalin of Nerve Design) online. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include: "Bedtime Prayer", "Heart", "Once Bitten, Twice Shy", and "My Halo".

As previously reported, BLINDED COLONY has been forced to push back the projected release date of its new album, "Bedtime Prayers" (Pivotal Rockordings), to November 10 from the previously announced October 13. "The reason for this is that we simply couldn't make the deadline: Schuster [vocals] has been screaming his lungs out and therefore got himself a very soar throat, which means delays," guitarist Tobias Olsson previously stated. Swedish melodic death metal quintet BLINDED COLONY, have announced that they will push the release of their sophomore album titled Bedtime Prayers back one month:
"Hey guys! Today I have some rather bad news, as you all know we've been working our asses off on the new album Bedtime Prayers but unfortunately we have to postpone the release to the 10th of November in Europe and 14th of November worldwide through Pivotal Rockordings. The reason for this is that we simply couldn't make the deadline: Schuster has been screaming his lungs out and therefore got himself a very soar throat, which means delays.
On the good side the album will only be delayed one month. Thanks for you patience and I'm confident that all BLINDED COLONY supporters WILL be more than satisfied with the result this time."
Karlshamn Sweden's BLINDED COLONY recently updated their website and MySpace with the following studio update and studio video. BLINDED COLONY Guitarist Tobias Olsson reflects on the recording process of the band's forthcoming album Bedtime Prayers, as well as on future touring plans:
"Our new album will be called "Bedtime Prayers" and will be released on our new label Pivotal Rockordings this fall! The release dates of the album will be October 13 (13.10.06) for everyone in Europe. Bedtime Prayers will be released in North America and the rest of the world on October 17 (17.10.06).
"So far we have recorded all the drums, guitars, and bass. Schuster is still locked up with Johan B. in SoundPalace Studios working on the vocals. We also will be mixing and mastering Bedtime Prayers shortly after the vocal tracks are completed. There is a new studio video that we have uploaded onto the MYSPACE and onto our OFFICIAL WEBSITE that you view to see the craziness that is BLINDED COLONY in the studio!
"Bedtime Prayers will contain 10 neck rippin' tracks and I'm sure that fans of our Divine album as well as our demo tracks will be really content with the new material! Some of the song titles we will be using for Bedtime Prayers will include: "Bedtime Prayer," "Heart," "Once Bitten, Twice Shy," and new song,
tentatively called "My Halo."
"We've done a lot of gigs these days and we want to thank everyone who has come out to support us! We played in Denmark at the Roskilde Festival Warm up show with our new friends The Psyke Project and By Night, who are from Sweden. We had a great time at the event, even though the sound didn't go well for us at all, we send a special thanks to everyone who stuck around! It was great to hear all the awesome feed back from everyone! We will be back in Denmark in July and will be having our release party in Gothenburg at the Belsepub with our good friends in Sonic Syndicate on October 13! I am really excited for that gig and it should be fun for all who come out! We know our label is planning a release party in Chicago on the US release date, so everyone please be on the lookout for that!
Also, we are currently planning out European tour with some friends of ours and we look forward to seeing all our friends in the UK, Germany, BeneLux and France sometime this fall/winter!"
BLINDED COLONY announced earlier this year that they signed to Florida based record label Pivotal Rockordings for the release of "Bedtime Prayers." BLINDED COLONY's previous full length record, "DIVINE," was recorded by the band at their own SoundPalace Studios in Karlshamn Sweden and released through Scarlet Records in Italy.
BLINDED COLONY once again plan to work with video producer Thomas Tjäder on music videos for the songs, "Heart," "Once Bitten, Twice Shy," and the track still tentatively named, "My Halo." Sweden based metal act BLINDED COLONY have recently updated their website from the studio. Here is what vocalist Johan Schuster had to say about the recording process:
"So, this is the first entry for this studio-diary. This is the place where we'll write a little about what's going on in the studio (minus the inappropriate dirty details hehe)! As you can see, we also post studio-videos and try to translate our ugly Swedish as best as we can into English, for all of you non-Swedes out there. We're pretty much done with all drum tracks now, and so far it sounds fucking killer! We've changed some kick drum rhythms in some old songs that sounded pretty lame, slow, and boring to make it groove more and sound more interesting. Such things can really make a song three times better! Or perhaps four!"
"Some sad news is that Staffan pretty much fucked up his ear at the last gig, so now he rests from noise as much as he can. Therefore, I will play the drums for the remaining tracks. I'm actually a drummer so I hope not to disappoint you haha! I've played the drums in other groups with Staffan handling the bass some years ago. But that's another story! Staffan will be back in action soon, so there is nothing to worry about!"
"I'll be in the studio all day pounding on drums. Take care, and be sure to look out for more studio updates."
BLINDED COLONY entered Soundpalace studios in April in their hometown of Karlshamn Sweden for the recording process of their forthcoming, yet-to-be-titled record, which is due out in the fall through Pivotal Rockordings and will be released worldwide.
